Lost your ring/sentimental items/cell phone/keys – Call ASAP 24/7 Metal Detecting Service (Chris 778-838-3463)

Yesterday I got a phone call from young man who needed help finding his wedding band that fell below the wood planks on his patio. He search, but could not find it. It was hard for him to lift up the planks to look under, the gaps were big enough for a wedding ring to fall through.

When I got there, I brought my endoscope camera, my Metal Detector, and a test ring on a rope so I could drop it between the cracks and be able to see if my metal detector would pick it up 3 inches down with all the inference from the nails and other bits of metal under the patio.

I started to use my endoscope in areas. I knew my Metal Detector would be having a hard time due to the metal railings. I did not find it and I picked up the Metal Detector and started grid searching the patio. After about 30 minutes, I got a nice  signal so I took out my endoscope took a look under the boards to see his beautiful gold wedding man.

I like searches that are outside of the box not quite as normal as most searches that test my abilities, I was excited to be able to reconnect this young man with his lost wedding band as he was only married for six weeks.

I love my job!

Lost cherished earring missing in Pleasant Hill…FOUND!!!

Karen was enjoying her nightly walk with her dog.  They had walked for about 55 minutes and the path meandered around surface streets, a small park, a short trail, the college campus, and a parking lot.  Once home she realized that one of her cherished earrings was missing.  It had been a very warm evening and she remembered her sun hat bothering her a bit and had taken it off several times.  She noted that her earring was more loose than usual and may have popped of while adjusting the hat.

The following morning she had walked the path again in an effort to locate the missing object.  Being ever resourceful, when she did not locate it herself, she sought help.  A brief look at The Ring Finders put her in touch with her most local agent.

I was at my boys swim meet in Concord, CA when she contacted me.  I let her know I could be available for a search later that afternoon and so we met around 5:30 pm that evening.  Karen took me for a walk of the route as I asked questions seeking details about the how, when, and where the earring might likely have gone missing.  It was apparent that most of the areas were not going to be metal detectable and that a lost item could be easily identified by the public.  That was until we entered a giant parking lot.  As we walked through I noticed a sparkle…broken glass!  And another…more broken glass!  I almost did not investigate the next sparkle, chalking it up to the myriad of broken bottles and glass throughout the lot.  I was super glad I did because…We made the recovery!!!

Karen did not notice that she had walked me right to the exact spot she lost the earring and that not only did I spot it, but I had picked it up.  She seemed a bit startled when I asked her to stop.  Later she would state that she thought I was going to rob her in the abandoned parking lot! I showed her the item and in disbelief she sought out the other earring thinking I must have somehow taken possession of it.  She was speechless and stunned, still in disbelief that after our long walk together, it was back in her hands.

Well Karen, It was the real deal and I could not have been happier to assist you with locating this beautiful earring.  I rather enjoyed our walk and our conversations.  I hope you never have to go through that again, but in the event you do…I’m here!

When Betty walk onto Upton Beach, near Stinson Beach, CA a large gust of wind tried to blow her sun hat right off of her head. In the process, the adjustable chin strap caught on her earring and popped it right off.  She did what most people do and sought out to procure a metal detector to locate her prized earring in the dry sand.  She made several attempts at locating it to no avail.

By luck her daughter plays soccer in Marin…remember my earlier post from March, Lost Platinum and Diamond Wedding Band…Recovered from the Soccer Pitch?  As it turns out she plays soccer with the family from this story!  The family gave her my contact information and Betty reached out for assistance.

I scheduled to travel the one and a half hour drive to Upton Beach at my very next availability.  In tow, I brought my beautiful wife and toddler to take advantage of leaving the triple digit weather for the cooler coastal air. We arrived slightly before Betty and made our way to the scene of the mishap.  After a brief chat with her I got under way searching the dry sand near the entrance to the beach.  In less than 3 minutes time and even before she could finish the search contract, the first target, a perfect 6 VDI for the Equinox…We made the recovery!!!

Betty was stunned that it had happened so quickly.  She admitted to having her doubts after searching so many times, but was ecstatic to have the zephyr blown earring back in her possession. I could definitely see why, as it was a stunner!!!

I love this work!! Anyone who performs it knows just how gratifying it really is.  Thank you to Betty for trusting me with the recovery and to Eric for making the referral.  It was a beautiful morning at the beach and a beautiful story for the books.

They have searched themselves with no luck. We was able to confirm the best time to complete a search. Search and search the area as the net was already taken down and trying to pin point the location of the net was key in this search. After searching and checking all of the area and spots, there was the ring in the grass. She was very happy to have the ring returned to her and now can completed with the wedding band.

Lost Sentimental Gold & Silver Bracelets at Ulua Lagoon Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Bracelet hunt began when I got a text from Fahema who lives on Oahu.  She asked, “Aloha, may you please help me find my bracelets that i lost in Ko’ Olina?  It would be greatly appreciated.”  Fahema wasn’t positive, but imagined the only place could be in Ulua Lagoon as she took a dip to cool off after playing volleyball with friends.  She had placed them in her pocket before swimming and a short time after coming ashore she noticed they both were gone.  I warned her that a snorkeler could probably see them in the clear water but hopefully the over night high tide would cover them in silt.  The area she swam in was about 50 by 25 yards in the water so I fired up the Manticore and started a grid search.  I just hunted this beach the past weekend so it was fairly sterile.  About 20 minutes into the search I got a screaming high tone in thigh deep water and in one scoop there was the Silver Bracelet in the scoop.  I marked the spot with my scoop and yelled to Fahema to come get that one while I continued the search.  I continued out to the deep side of the search then turned around for the next leg.  When I got to the spot where the Silver Bracelet was found I got a nice but growling low tone.  It took two scoops but I was relieved to see the Gold Bracelet in the scoop.  I cupped it in my hand and walked ashore to where Fahema was relaxing.  I told her to open her hand so I could do a drop.  She was obviously relieved to see the most precious of the two in her hand.  Mission accomplished.  Smiles & hugs and much Aloha to Fahema!

Lost Ring – Gulf Shores, Al

I was working away on my seashell art when I got a call from Gary saying he lost his wedding ring at the beach. Well, actually his wife lost it after he gave it to her for “safe keeping” while he was digging in the sand. Hey, it happens ! Since I was tied up and my best detecting buddy and Ringfinders partner Cheryl was closer, I called her to see if she could take care of it. And boy, did she ever ! It took longer to turn on her machine and headphones than it did to find the ring ! Three whole swings of her detector and it was back on Gary’s finger. Awesome recovery !

BEACH FIND ON SPRING FED POND IN BYRON CENTER, MI:

  • from Holland (Michigan, United States)

Gregg Larabel had his friend Sherrie give him a call and said she had a friend that lost her ring on the beach in her backyard.  Gregg was out of the area so he gave this search to me.  I arrived and met Sherrie and she took me to the backyard to meet her 2 friends, Andrea being one of them.  The 2 ladies were enjoying the sandy beach with their kids.  Andrea took off her rose gold ring and put it on top of the cooler and then the cooler was opened and the ring went flying.  They showed me where the cooler was sitting and I took one swing and got a good signal.  I gave Andrea the pinpointer and let her retrieve the ring which blended in with the sand and made it hard to see.  Smiles all around and another successful hunt.

Lost – Gold Diamond Heirloom Ring, Ponce Inlet, FL. – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

I had been on the beach all morning when I got a call from June.  She said that her friend

Daphne had lost her grandmother‘s ring at the dog park at Ponce Inlet. I told her I was nearby

and they said they could meet me there in one hour.

When June and Daphne arrived, Daphne was very distraught about losing her grandmother’s

ring. They took me to the river and showed me where they had been. I gridded all the entire

area … No luck. It was very hot so I told them they could leave, and I would finish the search

and give them a call if I had any questions.

They had only been gone about five minutes when (in my best Columbo fashion) I called June

and asked her when they had noticed the ring was missing. She said they had actually pulled

over in a Truist bank and checked for it on the way home. I told her I was getting nothing at the

dog park and that she might want to go to the bank and check the parking lot. She said it

couldn’t be there because she would’ve noticed it

Five minutes later I got a call from Daphne saying they had found the ring in the bank parking

lot…broken but repairable.

The ring was not found with a metal detector, but nevertheless… Mission accomplished!!!
