Lost White Gold Ring With Diamonds Found In The Snow in Port Huron Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

It’s Gonna Be A Happy New Year…..

……For the pictured couple who’s ring I found today in the snow. They got engaged on Christmas and were unloading gifts yesterday when the ring came off. I searched the area between the house and car where she thought it slipped off but noting came thru on the MXT meter where a typical ring like this will come up. The next place to look was where the cars were parked, so he moved them and I searched the area and the MXT was sounding off on lots of junk signals and I learned there used to be a garage where the conc. pkng lot is now. Carefully gridding from different directions and a +8 came up with a good hard signal, brushing away the snow revealed this gorgeous specimen that had been been driven over and had we not moved the car would not have found it! I mentioned to them to take the ring where they got it and check that the diamonds had not loosened up due to the impact of driving on it. They were so thrilled and it made the new year even better and something to look back on when they wed in September 2018!

Lost Platinum & Diamonds Wedding Ring at Ala Moana Beach Park…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began this morning when I had an email from Patrick who lives in Chicago. A little after midnight he sent an email request for ring finder services at Ala Moana Beach Park near Waikiki. While playing catch with a football in waist deep water and while Patrick was making a catch the football hit the ring and it popped off his finger. He wasn’t quite sure which direction it went and his unfamiliarity with the beach he felt somewhat hopeless in finding the ring. I responded to the email and told Patrick to call me ASAP as that beach is constantly being detected. Losing it at 2:30 the previous day is an eternity of time for that beach. Moments later I got the call. We agreed to meet in 30 minutes at Life Guard Tower 1E which was near where the ring came off. As I arrived Patrick showed me the extreme ends of the grid and waist deep water is alot to cover. I figured it was near high tide the day before when he lost it so the ring should be shallow. I started my grid search and Patrick was my seaward marker thankfully as there ain’t no objects to line up on there. After a few grid lines I only found a few pieces of foil. I was beginning to think this ring was found already. After about 45 minutes Patrick was shivering and looking as if this was going to be a hopeless cause. Then suddenly in thigh deep water BOOM! My detector screamed in my ear. I knew instantaneously it was going to be his ring. Patrick wasn’t looking my direction and I did a quick scoop and there in the basket was an awesome platinum and diamonds encrusted ring. I started walking towards Patrick and probably from the look on my face he said, “You found it?” “I think so”, I said. Does it have several diamonds? “Yes all around the ring,” he said. “Oh then this must be it”, as I handed him the ring. The look of total elation and relief came over Patrick’s face. He was so thankful and told me he didn’t think we were going to find it. What a Great way to end 2017. Aloha to Patrick. On a side note he didn’t have to tell his wife he lost the ring. Whew!

Lost man’s tungsten wedding ring found in Mead WA

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

Yet another snow covered car steals a man’s wedding ring. That man Jared, was just closing the door to his car and with the slam of the door he also heard the ting of his ring hitting the door. Thinking the ring couldn’t have gone far, he and his wife looked for an hour. After not succeeding, Jared took to his computer to find a metal detector to buy. Low and behold the internet led him to the Ring Finders and so begins my latest Ring Finders tale. I got an email from Jared about his ring and dawned my snow bibs and took off to his house. The car that stole Jared’s ring was still parked in the spot where he had lost the ring. So knowing a thing or two about how conductive cars are I stayed away from the car and grid searched around the door he had closed. “The ring is being hidden by the car” I told him. He moved the car backwards but still no ring, he moved the car forwards and then I heard the sweet sound of the lost but now found ring. I said ” I bet this is it”, I swept the snow with my foot and Jared’s ring landed in front of him. He was wearing a smile when he bent down to pick it up and an even bigger smile with his ring back on his finger.

LOST RING OVER THE HOLIDAYS RECOVERED

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

Karen and her family were travelling from Vancouver to Vernon in the Okanagan for Christmas with friends, they stopped at the Merritt Tourist Booth on the way. Playing in the snow with the kids Karen lost her custom woven ring. Once in Vernon she found my site on The Ringfinders and we arranged to meet at the loss site on her way home. The Tourist Booth was 110 Kilometeres from my home over a mountain pass,( The Highway from Hell) fortunately the snow was not too bad, my plan was to grid the area of the snowball throw, then the parking lot. During my grid search, Karen was kicking the snow from the throw area and out popped the ring, a successful team effort. Karen was delighted to have the sentimental ring back on her finger.

Business Trip to Hawaii Before Christmas, LOST WEDDING RING, SAVED by the TONE! GOTT’UM

  • from Waikīkī Beach (Hawaii, United States)

On November 28th 2017 Steve just flew into Hawaii on a business trip. While here on island he decided to head to the beach and take a swim. He noticed a few kids playing football in the water and decided to join them. After some time playing he looked down and realized, NO WEDDING RING. It fell off and he started to look everywhere. The kids that were playing also stopped and put on their swimming goggles to help find his platinum wedding ring. After hours of looking they came up short. Steve was contemplating as to how he would  tell his wife that while on a business trip in Hawaii “I lost my wedding ring”!  Well, thanks to a friend of mine on the beach who noticed the commotion, he went over to Steve and asked if everything is ok.  Steve said “NO, I LOST MY WEDDING RING AND DON’T KNOW WHERE IT IS IN THE WATER”. That’s when I got the phone call. I was able to confirm with Steve that I would help him find his wedding ring and would be there in 30 minutes. I packed up the gear and my family as we were on our way to pick up our Christmas tree that evening. I arrived to the beach and noticed Steve walking waist deep in the ocean and still frantically looking. As I got closer, he looked up to me and yelled “KAI”? I responded ” I’m Ready” and started to gear up as my wife and son played on the beach. It was later in the evening and the sun was setting. After 40 minutes I finally GOT THAT TONE! I looked up to Steve who’s eye was full of depression and a lost of hope and he says “Whats this in the scoop?” At that time I heard a loud “HE FOUND IT”! I got the biggest hugs of ALOHA. In the scoop was Steve’s Platinum wedding ring. My Family and I were excited to see his joy and gratitude all over his face. Steve was very grateful that he thanked me so many times and I had to return with IT’S MY PLEASURE… Thank you Steve for believing in me and we both will have a very Merry Christmas.

Wedding Ring Lost Christmas Eve at Newport Beach, CA…Found and Joyfully Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I was relaxing at home Christmas Eve afternoon when I received a call from Yogi. He was on vacation from Houston, TX to visit with family for the Holidays. He had lost his wedding ring at the beach while throwing a football to his family members. They had been there earlier in the day when it happened. They searched for the ring but could not find it. They talked of renting a metal detector, but it was Christmas Eve. One of the family members searched the internet, and found The Ring Finder’s web site where they located me. Yogi told me that he would meet me at the beach, and I told him I would be on my way.

When I got to the beach, I walked out and met with Yogi. He showed me how they had marked out the area of where he believed the loss to have occurred. The good thing was that he had been throwing away from the water, so I knew there would be a better chance of a recovery. I began a grid, and worked my way up and back getting a few faint signals, I dug them, but they were not fruitful. I then narrowed my search to a specific area, and made a few more passes, and on the turn of the last pass I got a good strong signal and dug again. There in the bottom of my scoop was Yogi”s ring, the 24K gold band gleaming in the sunshine. I held it up while he was taking pictures of his family. He did not notice at first, but the rest of the family saw the ring and began clapping and shouting for joy which caught Yogi’s attention. He looked up, and with a great big smile came over and accepted his ring. What a joy it is to restore someone’s joy to them.

Yogi sent me this testimonial to include here:

Steve!  Thank you again so much!

I was spending time with my family during the holidays in 2017 on Newport beach, and happened to be tossing a football with my cousins.  About an hour later, I noticed my wedding ring was missing.  I had a feeling that it happened during the football toss.  I had mentioned it to my wife about me misplacing it, she was not too thrilled.

My cousin and I rushed back to the spot, but couldn’t locate the ring.  He pulled up a site called Ring Finders on the web, and told me to call. I called and Steve Smith picked up and said that he was on his way.  I asked how much the service was, and he said whatever we felt we wanted to pay. This was Christmas Eve so we were a bit worried about any one actually working.

Steve arrived, and I told him what had happened. I showed him the area where I felt it could be and he asked me a few questions and then proceeded to work.  I was back to my family and within 10 minutes, everyone started cheering.  I looked back and Steve was walking towards me holding the ring in his hand.

I couldn’t believe that within such a short time, he was able to produce the ring!  We chatted for a few minutes, and he told me about his method.  Best part of our conversation was the reason why he did it, he said it was THAT moment when he finds the item and how the mood changes in an instant!

Very thankful that Steve was available and he was able to locate something very important to myself and family.  Thank you a ton RING FINDERS!
