Found Lost Ring on his Anniversary!!

Last night I got a call from a guy who had lost his custom made white gold wedding ring. It’s a beautiful ring with trees and mountains on it. He had been cutting branches and trees that had fallen into his road. He had set the chainsaw down and was brushing the snow and sawdust from his pants when his ring went flying off. It was quite cold out, so naturally his fingers had shrunk a little .

He searched the area for a long time, but was unable to find it because the snow on the ground was probably hiding it, or it had ended up in the muddy ditch with running water in it. He later found my name on The Ring Finders website and called me instead of trying a rental, which might not even work right.

So, today after work I went over to help. I got a signal right off, but thought it might be from the large metal culvert under the road. I checked it with the pinpointer and there it was, barely covered with snow. We were happy to find it this evening because there’s a huge snowstorm predicted for tonight and tomorrow. We definitely didn’t want a snowplow to drag it down the road!

The best part of this story was that tonight is his wedding ANNIVERSARY !!

Lost Ring Tip Leads To Successful Recovery On Emerald Isle Beach

Brad was fishing the Emerald Isle Point with his wife when a friend of mine was hunting the beach with his metal detector.  Brad informed him of his wife’s ring that was lost a few days earlier at a different location.  My friend suggested they contact Crystal Coast Ring Finders.

After getting the necessary information a search was conducted that eventually lead to this beautiful ring being found.  Brad & his family were no longer in the Emerald Isle, NC area so the ring was securely packaged and mailed back to their home.   Great communications and teamwork helped this ring find it’s way back home.

Gold and diamond wedding band found and returned on Bonita Beach

  1. While swimming with his wife and enjoying their final days in paradise before returning to Michigan, Peter noticed that the gold and diamond ring he’d placed on his wife’s finger nearly 43 years ago to the day was missing.  Carefully he took notice of the spot, going in so far as to imbed an umbrella holder to mark the exact location.  Well it’s only lost until you call!  Their priorities were in order as they took their prayers and petitions to the Top, praying to God rather than St Anthony.  The rest is now history and new memories are being forged.   Gold and diamond wedding band found and returned on Bonita Beach, Bonita Springs Florida.

Ring lost at Mission Beach found

Emily was brushing sand off her hands when a special ring, given to her by her mother, slip right off and was instantly swallowed by the fluffy dry sand. She searched for it, but, couldn’t find it in the dark using her phone light. She was advised to contact TheRingFinders.com. I received the plea for help the next afternoon. Emily wasn’t able to meet at the site until the next day, but, being a Saturday evening, the ring might get found by someone else if we waited that long, so, I got the description of the search area and hurried down there to hopefully find it before some other lucky detectorist did. Super busy beach required me to park and hike about a mile to the search area. Not knowing the exact limits of the search area, I picked what I thought would be the extreme edge of one side of the square and began my grid search. First target was a promising 25 on my Equinox 900, but, ended up being a pull tab. Second target was a solid 19 and a beautiful Tiffany ring was inside my scoop. Emily and I met the next day for the reunion of ring and finger. A pleasure meeting you Emily and thank you for the reward.

Found lost Wedding ring at Fort Pierce outside bar

I got a call From Nick who found me on Ring finders.  He had been at an outdoor bar and lost his wedding band.  He could not meet me there so we face timed instead.  It was a large space covered in crushed shells. He was able to direct me to the area where he was sitting listening to the music. Success!!

Lost 1982 Class Ring Found in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, with a Metal Detector. Returned to Owner

On Friday , February 9, 2024, I decided to brave the cold windy beach conditions and take advantage, of the negative low tides , here in Maine. We have had some big winter storms in the last month and a lot of sand has been moved.

I found lots of crusty coins, a Milwaukee Electric Saw (crazy things under the sand) and a 10K 1982 Class Ring. As soon as I got home, I got the magnifying glass out and determined the ring was from Billerica Memorial High School, in Billerica, Massachusetts. Billerica is approximately 90 miles from the resort town of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, that I found the ring in.

The ring is very small and most likely a woman’s ring. I then searched the inside of the band, saw a 10K mark and the initials of JMG. I then performed an internet search and to my amazement, I found an online yearbook, for the 1982 school year. I found two different students, with those initials. One was a male and the other a female. I just knew it had to belong to the female, because of the very small size.

On Monday, when the school reopened, I sent an email to the principal, of the High School and explained I was trying to return the ring and if they could help with contact information. His reply was that they do not have contact for past students, but the Alumni Association, may be able to help. I contacted the Alumni Association but they would not respond, other than one time and never responded back to me again.

I then posted the found High School ring on many of the local Billerica Facebook groups, including Billerica Memorial High School Class Of 1982. I received lots of comments and everyone knew that the ring must belong to Jean, a 1982 graduate. I was able to get a phone number and when I called, I was able to speak with Jean’s Husband, Bill. I explained to Bill what was going on and he wasn’t sure if Jean had ever lost her ring, but he would ask her when he got home.

Bill called back and yes, Jean did not have her ring, as it wasn’t in her jewelry box. As a matter of fact, Jean didn’t even know that the ring was missing. When I told them the ring was found in Maine, Bill told me the only place it would have been lost in Maine, was in Old Orchard Beach, where they often went to, on vacation. When I mentioned I found the ring with my metal detector, down in the wet sand, at low tide, I was told they the family would always lay on the beach, in front of Palace Playland, an amusement park, right next to the Old Orchard Beach Pier. Well, that is exactly where I found it. As far as Jean not knowing the ring was missing was easily explained. Jean’s daughters would often wear the ring and also a granddaughter. They were allowed to wear it but were to put it back, when not wearing the ring. Although, none of the daughters or granddaughter will admit to it, It most likely was being worn by one of the girls, when it was lost, as they swan, in the water. The ring was most likely lost sometime between 2012 and 2019, as the family hasn’t been back to Old Orchard Beach, since Covid started.

On Saturday, March 16th, my wife and I drove to Billerica to return the ring. Unfortunately, something unexpectedly came up and Jean could not be there to get her ring back personally. She instead, sent her Husband, Bill and youngest daughter, Katie. Although it was disappointing not to meet Jean, I was extremely happy to have returned the ring to her family.

There is no better feeling than to return these precious items back to the rightful owner.

One day in early November 2023, Michelle realized that both her engagement and wedding rings were missing from her hand. Michelle had recently done some gardening and thought that she must have lost them as she was pulling weeds in the thick liriope or monkey grass. At the same time, Michelle and her husband John had recently returned from a trip to the mountains of North Carolina so there was a possibility she had lost them where they stayed. Michelle also works as a dental hygienist and there was a possibility that she could have lost her rings at the office. Michelle and John thoroughly searched everywhere she thought she may have lost her rings and contacted the rental company of the vacation house in North Carolina but they could not find them. Michelle then reached out for help on social media and I responded to her. As it turns out, Michelle has her hair done at the same place where my wife and I go for hair cuts so several people who work there recommended me. A few days later, I searched Michelle and John’s front yard thoroughly with my Nox 900, especially the area with the tall, thick liriope grass including probing the grass with my hand held pinpointer but I was unable to find the rings. Michelle agreed to contact me again in several months after she cut the grass back which she did in early March. I went back over and searched the grass again but it was still too thick to push my detector coil as far as I needed to so I probed the grass with two pinpointers including my new Nokta AccuPoint pinpointer. After about 30 minutes of searching in several clumps of the thick grass, the Nokta “beeped” a contact signal and I pushed the grass aside to reveal the beautiful engagement ring! Michelle was at work and John had just walked into the house so I shouted for John who quickly came back out. I pushed the grass aside and John stared at the ring with a look of disbelief and we both began to celebrate. Then I remembered I still needed to find the wedding band and I got another signal just a few inches from the first ring, pushed the grass aside and there was the second ring! After I left, John texted photos of the rings to Michelle who was still at work and the entire office was overjoyed with the recovery.

Lost engagement ring in the ocean, Ship Bottom NJ, LBI, recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder

Jersey shore ring finder ring finder south jersey    Kate reached out to me wanting to know if it was possible to locate her engagement that slipped off her finger during the day somewhere at the beach. It was late in the evening, and after determining that it was close to high tide when it most likely came off, it would be best to wait until the early morning low tide. We arranged to meet early the next morning at the dune walkover. As we were heading to the location I had asked her to mark in google maps we talked about the main things she could remember leading up the the ring disappearing. Once we got to the spot, she showed me some pictures she had, before and after the ring went missing. Something didn’t look just right, but I figured I would check the area that was marked. After coming up empty handed I asked her to see the pics again, it was then I knew that was not quit the right location. I adjusted the location about 40′ to the north, and things looked just right, including the piles of seaweed that had pushed high up on the hill the prior day when the pics were taken. Kate confirmed after looking at the pics that this was absolutely the right location. Combined with the rough surf, was the fact that she was boogie boarding, and that is never a good thing when doing a recovery. Kate did remember one wave that knocked her down, where she lost the board, and that was luckily close to the beach in waist deep water. I decided to hit that area real quick, and while Kate was in about knee deep water looking, I got a signal that made my eyes open wide. With the waves crashing right where I was, I took extra time to zero in on the exact spot, and hoped to grab it on the first scoop. Sure enough I had it on the first try, BINGO, it was her absolutely stunning ring!!!!! Kate had no idea what had just taken place just a few feet behind her, as I scooted up the hill , past the waves to get a better look and clean it off. At that moment I decided to make a video to capture her response, which you will see I’m not very good at. (Will be posted soon) Her reaction was something that makes this profession SO SO rewarding that no words could ever explain.

Lost Wedding Ring Minnesota Found Metal Detecting Service

After playing with his dog in the backyard, Adam noticed his wedding ring wasn’t on his finger.  Adam & Haily are newlyweds and have only been married for a week. Adam said he was devastated by having lost his ring so soon. He & Haily searched the backyard both in the daylight and by night with a flashlight to no avail. Haily decided to search the internet for any other way to retrieve Adam’s ring. She googled “Lost ring”, “How to find a ring” and ” theringfinders.com ” web site popped up. She gave me a call and after a 20-minute search of the backyard, I found it under some thick matted down grass.

Lost ring working in the yard… Found

I was so blessed to recover this ring for a local family. While working in the yard she dropped it. They searched for hours and could not find it. Her daughter found my contact info on theringfinders.com. The ring is beautiful but the joy of this find was seeing how this family surrounded her in her time loss. Wedding rings are a special part of our life. Many times they hold value far beyond gold and diamonds. Often it’s a love of your life and even a family heirloom from a family member that has passed. You can replace the ring. But you can never replace the memories and the love from family that was built when that ring was placed on your finger.
