Hollywood Beach Hero: Expert Metal Detection Rescues Lost Wedding Ring

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

Early Sunday morning, a distressing text from Melissa relayed the tale of her lost wedding ring on Hollywood Beach in Oxnard. Amidst the serene sunset, the joy turned to panic as Melissa inadvertently shook her ring off along with the sand from their towel. Despite frantic efforts, the ring remained elusive amidst the dry sand, prompting a call for professional assistance.

Recognizing the urgency, I wasted no time and headed straight to the beach, aiming to beat the crowds drawn by the scorching heat. With Melissa’s guidance, I meticulously mapped out a search grid, methodically scanning the area where the ring was believed to have been lost.

Expanding the search grid yielded promising results, as the distinctive tone of my Equinox 800 metal detector signaled a potential discovery. Delving deep into the sand, I unearthed Melissa’s ring, buried beneath layers of sand inadvertently piled on during the search.

Melissa’s relief and elation were palpable as she realized her precious ring would not be left behind on their journey back to San Francisco.

If you find yourself in a similar predicament, follow Melissa’s lead and reach out immediately for professional assistance. Available 24/7, Ventura County’s Ringfinder Dave MacDonald stands ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice. Don’t let time slip away; call or text 805-290-5009 to ensure a swift recovery of your lost ring or jewelry. Successful Search & Recovery of Men’s Platinum Wedding Ring, Falmouth Heights Beach, Falmouth, MA

I received a call this morning from Corey, from his home in Boston.  Yesterday, while playing spike ball and enjoying the beach in the hot, humid weather, his platinum wedding band went astray from his pocket where he’d placed it for safekeeping.  His friends found the Ring Finders on the web and told Corey to give me a call to see if I could search for the ring.  I made it to the beach about a half hour after the call and began a search pattern in the area that Corey had described over the phone.  The description was not very precise, so after searching for 45 minutes I called a number that he’d provided for a friend who’d been with them the previous day.  The friend showed up and after some discussion we identified an area another 100-150 feet down the beach where it looked like there had been some heavy activity, likely from a spike ball game.  Sure enough, it did not take a long search before I came across the sweet signal expected from a platinum band and scooped up Corey’s ring.  I made a call to Corey and dropped the ring off at the friend’s house, so it will assuredly will find its way back home ere long.  A big thanks to Corey’s friends for searching out the Ring Finders and especially to Corey for giving me the opportunity to look for this precious item!

Lost Ring Ormond Beach FL – Ladies custom made, Tacori Diamond Wedding Set – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

Late Friday evening, I got a text from Michelle.  She explained that she was visiting the Daytona area and was enjoying the beach when she put a wedding set and a third ring in a side pocket of beach chair.  When she went to pack up, they forgot the rings.  They went back to the beach to search for the rings but could not find them.

Since it was almost 10pm, I asked Michelle if I should come down now.  Instead, we decided to meet first thing on Saturday.

I met Michelle and Tyson, her husband of 17 years, at the Ormond beach access.  We covered about a quarter mile to the scene of the loss in the dark about an hour before sunrise.

They showed me the area that their chair had been set up and the path they used leaving the beach.  I fired up the XP Deus machine and got a great hit on the slope going down to the water.  It was the wedding band!

We knew we were in the right place and continued to search.  Tyson had a detector and searched also.  Not long after the first hit Tyson had one that he wanted me to check out.  This time it was above the slope on the dune.  It was the engagement ring… A handcrafted, Tacori ring with a beautiful princess diamond, flanked by triangular cut blue sapphires.  Michelle was thrilled!

The third ring was lost to the waves or traveled further, but they had the most important of the three rings back.  Happy couple!!

Boyd left the beach in Avalon, NJ, forgetting that he put his wedding band on the top of his backpack. He sent me an email asking for help locating the ring with my metal detector. We met up later that evening in Avalon and spoke about the area that it might be in. I started the search where he thought they were sat, but it wasn’t there. Boyd spoke to his wife and she thought they sat a little closer to the water.  I continued the search. After metal detecting area for about 25 minutes, the band was found!

They used to call me MacGyver, and I earned that title today.
I received a text message late yesterday asking if I could search for a lost earring. The only problem is it was in a car. I told them that a metal detector would be useless in a car. It would be a visual search. They were okay with that, and we scheduled a visit for late afternoon today.
I arrived, and he showed me the car. He turned the car on for our search because the temperature was over 90 degrees. I brought my snake video camera unit. An excellent tool for searches in tight areas. They are 100% positive that it is in the car. His wife was a front-seat passenger and had her earring on her lap. They hit a bump, and it fell between the seat and the center console.
I started searching in the typical places it would have gone. No luck. There are 2 openings in the carpet under the seat. The 1st hole was not hiding a secret. After about an hour, I started to search the 2nd hole, which was some kind of vent. I searched in there, and there it was. Not easy to get as it was around a bend. This was not going to be easy to remove.
I tried a very long skinny 10-inch screwdriver. It wasn’t long enough. A portable vacuum wouldn’t work, either. Putting on my MacGyver hat. I have a couple of marking flags with 24-inch bendable, narrow stems. I took needle nose pliers and bent the end into a hook. While watching on the camera, I fished the hook to the earring. I was able to snag it after a few attempts. I slowly pulled it to the opening, and it fell down under the vent. More searching with the camera and we saw it again. This time I was able to get my fingers on it and remove it from under the seat.
They were so happy to get it back. This one was a challenge, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ring Recovery In Long Branch NJ

I was at work this morning and got a call from Janvi Patel asking for help in finding her ring she lost the afternoon before. The ring was a gift from her mother, a green emerald representing her astrological sign, plus it was blessed. It ment everything to her. I asked my boss if I could leave and he said OK for it was slow at work. I told her i’d be there within a half hour. She met me and took me to where she was sitting when she lost it. While down on the beach, she went to remove her beach skirt she was wearing and it got caught on her ring sending it into the sand. I searched the area but had no luck. Her friend that was with her told me she thought they were over a little farther away, closer to the water. I moved my search about 20 feet and sure enough within a few minutes I had her ring in my scoop. She couldn’t believe it and was so excited to have her ring back. A great happy ending ( better than sitting at work LOL )

Patrick lost his iPhone on the beach the night before in Avalon, NJ. He and his friends went swimming and Patrick placed his phone down somewhere in the sand. When he returned from the ocean, he could not find the phone. He called his mom who was at a party in Chester County and someone mentioned to give me a call. I spoke to her and met Patrick and his friends on the beach shortly after.

Some of his friends thought it was just like the show Outer Banks. We were going to look for the Royal Merchant gold treasure. The boys sat and watched for about 45 minutes while I scanned the beach with the metal detector. The iPhone was found after a great signal! The treasure was returned.
