Lost Diamond Ring Recovered on Haulover Beach, Miami, Florida

  • from Stinson Beach (California, United States)

A beachgoer in Miami Florida contacted me early morning on May 12, 2021 to recover a diamond ring lost the night before. She was a wreck searching for the ring and couldn’t sleep. Fortunately, she kept track of her position on the beach and we met before sunrise on Haulover Beach in Miami, Florida, USA.

It was a quick search in the dry sand near the tide line and within about 15 minutes, the ring was found and returned to the owner just as the sun broke through the clouds at the horizon.

Beautiful morning and a great way to start the day for this young lady who thought fast, did a web search and found theringfinders.com!

Lost Gold Wedding Band Recovered In Pasadena, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

It’s been a while since I’ve been contacted by someone in distress after losing something precious to them. That changed on Friday, May 7th when I received a call from Tim. He was out digging a trench to run electric to his shed when he realized his wedding band was missing. Here is how things went down in Tim’s own words.

“It was a Friday evening when I realized I lost my wedding band while digging a trench in my backyard earlier in the day.  My first thought was to rush out and buy a metal detector.  I did some quick research and realized  I had no experience. I would be lucky to find anything. After doing some more internet searches, I found Ring Finders.  At 9 o’clock at night I sent a text to Jim Wagner.  Little did I know he was close by.  He answered me right away and committed to showing up at my house at 7:30 the next morning.  He told me that if the ring was outside, he would find it.  True to his word, Jim was at my house at 7:30 with a smile and full of understanding. He started at one end of the trench and worked toward the other end while I nervously watched. He found my ring within 15 minutes.  Jim is a talented individual and it was a pleasure meeting him. I can’t thank him enough.”

Kirby sent me a text regarding the loss of her gold heirloom signet ring she believed she lost in her backyard. The ring had belonged to her Grandfather, so it had significant sentimental value for her. We arranged a time when we would both be available for me to come and do the search, and on that day I was on my way.

When I arrived Kirby met me, showed me the backyard, and where she thought she had lost her ring. When I saw her grass I could see how a ring could get lost in it. It was incredibly plush. Each blade of the grass had to be 5 inches in length straight up from the ground like a mini jungle over the whole back yard. I went over the area she pointed out to me only finding a dime that had been there for a while. I then expanded my search out until I completely searched the whole yard, only finding a nickel, and an old cookie cutter. Not willing to be beaten I did a cross grid of the yard, but did not find the ring. We talked a bit more about the day, and what might have happened, and the only thing left was her trash, which she had already gone through, but wisely did not throw out. I went through each item in the bags with my pin pointer until I came upon a crumpled napkin that was surprisingly sounding off. I picked it up, and shook it a bit, and the ring came tumbling out. Even though Kirby had thoroughly searched the trash the ring had evaded her pursuit. She could not believe it when I held up the ring for her, and showed her where it had been. What a wonderful search!

Matthew had gone with his family to the beach for a fun day out, when while playing with his children, and a flick of his wrist, his wedding ring was gone into the soft beach sand. He told me he had searched for about 4 hours before his wife found me on The Ring Finders web site, and gave me a call. Being that that particular beach is highly metal detected, I let her know that I was leaving immediately, so as to have the best possibility of a recovery.

I got to the beach quickly, and found the family. Matthew explained and showed me what had happened. He had been on the slope of sand that goes down to the water from where they had their towels when he flicked his wrist. What made it more difficult for his own search was the fact that movement by him and his children in the area of the loss caused more sand to move down the slope and cover the ring deeper in the sand. I worked my way down the slope with no signal, and then began working back up in a grid fashion when near the bottom of the slope I got a good solid signal, dug, and had Matthew’s ring in the scoop. They were very happy to have it back, as this was specially engraved. I looked and noticed that Matthew’s wife had a silicone ring on, and complimented her for her conscientiousness regarding her jewelry. A very happy ending to the day!

Heirloom and engagement ring lost and found.

Received a phone call from a young lady last evening about having lost her engagement ring. This ring was very special as the diamond was a heirloom given to her fiancé, for him to have the ring especially made for her. She mentioned that she took her dog for a walk to the park and that she was also doing yard work in the back yard. The grass rack broke and she was picking up grass clippings with her hands. With that said, I was pretty sure the ring would be located in her yard. After 45 minutes of gridding the yard, I found the ring. It was so well disguised, in the grass, that there is no way anyone could of found it just by looking. I’m so happy I was able to reunite her with her beautiful ring. Her reaction in the video is priceless. All that ends well!!

*** Sarah’s daughter had just completed her first day at preschool. Her first day away from her mother. When the little girl ran across the lawn to hug her mother. Sarah dropped to her knees to greet her daughter. A happy memorable moment, until Sarah realized her gold diamond stud earring fell into the grass.

I was on the beach detecting when she called, asking for help. We were able to meet a little more than an hour after discussing what had happened. Sometimes fulltime mothers have trouble getting free from their motherly duties. It’s always nice to have the person that lost the item present at the location.

We met on the front lawn of the private school where she showed me the thick grass and a 15’x15’ area. I had asked her to bring the matching earring in a sandwich baggie so I could test it with my metal detector.

This earring had enough metal to get a fair signal. It still took about 15 minutes to coach a decent reading in the thick growth of grass. I use a high frequency detector for stud earring searches. Sarah was very happy to have her favorite earring set complete. She asked if it was possible to find the custom backing.

It was not easy to locate that piece. I was beginning to think it may have hung up on Sarah’s or her daughter’s clothing, dropping off further from the stud earring. After more than a half hour, I switch to a multi frequency metal detector using a 6” coil. BOOM! the small custom backing was almost 3” deep in the grass, imbedded in the clay mud. I did tell her that the backing was going to be a challenge. After my favorite small gold metal detector didn’t get it. I was surprised that the two pieces were only 12” apart. The important thing was we got both pieces and Sarah went home delighted to have her favorite earring set complete again.

Alley contacted me asking for some assistance in locating her third generation heirloom gold diamond wedding ring lost on Valentines Day 2021. She told me that she had a dinner date with her husband that evening at a Mexican restaurant. She remembered having her ring on her hand before leaving the house. Before they left the house she went out to her third story balcony and quickly brushed the snow off a potted plant. At first this sounded like the action that took her ring off her finger.

However as I continued asking questions she provided additional details worth considering. I asked her if she had used any hand sanitizer on her hands after dinner at the Mexican restaurant. She told me she did use a lot of sanitizer but didn’t remember taking her ring off. In fact she thought she still had her ring on her finger at this point in the story.

After they made it back home she remembers taking a heavy knit sweater off and placing it in her laundry area. She said she also had concerns for her close dryer as it was making some clinking noises she was not used to having heard before.

With all this information I was prepared to check multiple places. Being at their apartment I started with the laundry system searching for diligently for their third generation family heirloom wedding ring that was missing in action. Be sure to watch, like, share and subscribe to the video to find out the exciting conclusion of this lost rings recovery.

It took a while but Finally!

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

Recover 5/1/2021 – I got a call about a lost diamond ring and after getting all the info I proceeded to the address. It ha actually been lost for 3 weeks which sometimes can be of concern. (someone found it, thrown by lawnmower, etc). Making matters worse it had the potential to be in some really tall prickly vines and grass. After 2 hours of searching I found it. So happy to see the ring back on this girls hand!
