Matt lost his wedding band while he and his son were jumping waves in Ocean City, NJ this past Friday. The ring was lost going in to high tide. The first attempt to recover it was nearly impossible due to the rough waves from the incoming tide, so I returned the next day at low tide to be able to go out farther in the ocean where it might have dropped. After about 20 minutes of searching, I got a nice signal from the metal detector and the ring was found!

Not all engagement rings are found using a metal detector! This engagement ring that was found in Sea Isle City New Jersey was a interesting story…

After speaking with the fiancé about how the ring was lost we met up and started the search for the lost ring.  After about an hour and half the ring was not found.  I asked some more questions trying to jog his memory as to the whereabouts of the engagement ring.  After a few more questions the search continued .. which led to a bag in the trash can! I received a call back in May about several sentimental and valuable items lost in a house fire in New Jersey. After several phone calls and a long wait for permits to enter the home site, we were finally able to search for the lost family heirlooms this weekend.

The fire had taken the home down to the foundation which made the recovery search very difficult. The effort continued over the course of a few days. I was able to recover the gold family heirlooms from the sad and tragic loss.

Lost Gold Cross and Necklace Found Avalon NJ by Ring Finders South Jersey

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

Late Friday evening I received a text from Sam asking if I could find a gold chain and cross in the sand that was lost the previous day in Avalon, NJ. She mentioned the cross was very sentimental because it was given to her mother by her father almost 30 years ago and then given to her. Sam took off the necklace because it got tangled in her hair and placed  it on the blanket. After forgetting she had taking it off, the cross and chain went flying across the beach when she shook out her blanket when leaving. I met Sam early Saturday morning to collect some details and started to search. After a thorough grid search of approximately fifty square feet, the necklace and cross were found!
