I received a call from Bella today about an engagement ring and wedding band that were lost in the sand on the beach in Ventnor, New Jersey yesterday. The set belongs to her friend’s mother, Jaqueline, who lost rings the while applying sunscreen. I met Bella and Jasmine on the beach today to find the rings. Jasmine pointed me in the general area where the group was yesterday and the rings were quickly recovered.

Sheila contacted me today about her fiancé’s chain and cross that were accidentally left on the beach in Ventnor, NJ.  The surf was rough yesterday, so he decided to take it off before going into the ocean.  Forgetting that it was in the side pocket of the beach chair, the jewelry dropped into the sand when packing up. They didn’t realize it was missing until after they got home and were extremely upset because it is very sentimental.  I met with the couple on the beach and they gave me the approximate location where it could have been lost.  Something in the distance caught my eye as I was walking around detecting.  It glistened for a second, so I decided to walk toward it.  It turned out to be the edge of the cross peeking out of the sand! It’s a great feeling when you find what you’re looking for, but it’s extra special when you recover something so sentimental.

Ring Recovered on Couples 1st Anniversary with Video

Got a call from Matt who was referred by John Favno. Matt lost his very expensive wedding ring in the surf at Atlantic City. Realizing low tide and dark was coming in about an hour I rushed to the beach. Matt was unable to meet me but sent a screen shot of a satellite picture mapping the area. He said it was high tide and he was about waste deep when he lost the ring. So I went out at about chest high in the surf. I work my way in with the tide. After about an hour and a half I got a solid 15 on my Equinox. Then out popped this huge gold ring. I knew this had to be it. I tried it on and it was too big for my sausage link of a finger. I was like, wow this guy is huge!!! Ok so now I got his ring and guess what this gets even better. He told me he was in AC celebrating their 1 year anniversary. I just couldn’t make this easy for them! 🤔🤔I had an idea! I had them meet me in a parking garage because it started to rain. The parking attendant Lana gave me permission. When they arrived I told them I’d have to come back and try again tomorrow. I said I wanted to do a video to set up the find. I asked them a bunch of questions and then asked him to describe the ring. As he did I pulled the ring out and said “is this it?” Both Matt and his wife Tina were shocked and ecstatic. Even Lana came over for a big hug. Happy Anniversary Matt and Tina.

Jhazmine was throwing a ball in the water on Clearwater Beach, when her 2006 gold class ring slipped off her finger!  The ring was very special to Jhazmine as her father had given it to her.  A week later, Howard Metts was on a fun hunt in the water at Clearwater Beach and found a gold 2006 class ring, with no school name on it, only the name “Jhazmine” and three initials on the inside.  Howard showed the ring to his daughter-in-law, Veronica Metts, who searched for “Jhazmine” on Facebook, and using the last initial on the ring, found a possible match!  Veronica sent Jhazmine a Facebook message asking if she had lost anything at Clearwater Beach.  Jhazmine responded the next day!  A few days later, Howard delivered the ring to a very happy Jhazmine at her place of work making for a great reunion! Go Team Metts! That’s how you do it! Great sleuthing and effort to both of you!
