While playing with her daughter in the water at the lake happiness was very high that day, only to realize her husband’s wedding set had slipped off and feelings got a little low.  We were able to search the designated area and locate the rings which had sunk from being stepped on.  Yes, happiness returns with a great big smile. After a lot of searching by friends without any luck, we were called to help locate this beautiful ring in the lake next to a boat dock. The reason the well-meaning friends weren’t able to find it is b/c someone stepped on it thus sinking it an additional 4-5 inches; thru the mud and the muck, Don was able to dig down and retrieve it.  Allows for a wonderful ending to a fun holiday weekend.

Wedding ring + boat dock = oops!

Jordon’s beautiful wedding ring was accidentally pulled from her husband’s back pocket when he reached for his phone.  Luckily,  their boat had been tied to the dock so the ring hit the edge of the boat and fell into the water.  Her husband immediately jumped in after the ring but could only stay in for a very short period of time b/c of the water temperature…cold!  He contacted us and by Don using his scuba gear was able to dive down and stay until the ring was found.  Great day in Oklahoma!!

After the mayhem … the ring was missing.

Don & I rec’d a call from a very special couple whose story is quite remarkable.  The groom-to-be purchased a beautiful ring one morning, proposed to his sweetheart later that afternoon and in celebrating that evening, misplaced that same ring (those pockets were just not deep enough).  The instructions given to us as we walked onto the property is ‘it’s somewhere out there’ meaning in the yard.   It took a while but with the patience the bride and groom showed and the belief that Don & I had we knew we wouldn’t leave until we found it.  And find it we did.

Ring Lost for 7 Months Found in Front Royal Virginia!

  • from Leesburg (Virginia, United States)

This was a referral from another theRingfinders member; I received a call from a lady in Front Royal, Virginia about a lost ring. After talking to her for a while I found out the ring has been missing for about 7 months and even after a few other detectorists tried to locate it they were not able to recover the ring. I made the 50 mile journey to her home and upon arrival she showed me where she believed the ring was lost. Her husband had been doing yard work and was throwing leaves into the woods next to their property and shortly afterwards realized his ring was missing. After doing a quick view of the property and asking a few more questions I went to work. Within 30 minutes I had located the ring buried under some leaves, but also in between several rocks which may be why others had missed it. The owners wife was ecstatic to have her husbands ring back! This was November 2019 and she didn’t plan on giving him his ring back….at least not until Christmas, wrapped under the tree!! So happy to help Brandy.

WIFE LOSES 18k WHITE GOLD and DIAMOND FILLED ENGAGEMENT RING IN THE SAND AT WASAGA BEACH 1, ON 🇨🇦

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2nd 🇨🇦 CANADA DAY 🇨🇦 Ring recovery request came in just as I was finishing up the Lake of Bay ring recovery!

Lauren had messaged “Hello. I was pointed in your direction in help of finding my lost white gold and diamond ring. July 1 at Wasaga beach area 1. I took it off momentarily and placed it in my sons cap. He then put it on his head and it fell out in the sand, I realized immediately but was unable to find it. It would be in the stretch of beach you see in the photo below. It could be between the water and approx 3/4 of the way to the sidewalk. It may have even stayed in his hat and fell out but we did not leave this area. Please let me know if you can help“

I message Lauren back that I was just cleaning up from a ring recovery in Muskoka and then I would give her a call.

I left the Muskoka area and called Lauren on the phone to get the details. I was on my way but time was of the essence at Wasaga Beach #1! I was crazy jam packed and the heat was incredible! Lucky to have had free parking for the day and found a spot close by!

Unfortunate, she she did not GPS the location but she did have a photo of where they were sitting! That was a huge help!  When I arrived I FaceTimed Lauren as to the location.

When I was speaking with her, a lady beach goer that was sitting beside Lauren came up to me and said “are you looking for what I’m thinking you’re looking for?” and I said “yes I am and I’m the phone with the owner right now!”

The lady assisted by advising me where Lauren’s beach towels were!

One of the other ladies offered to video as I started my grid search. The second target in under 2 minutes I knew it was something sweet! Solid 6 on the Equinox800 and only 2 inches down! I pulled out my pinpointed and cleared the sand away…exposing the ring!

Check out this video of me finding the ring and then FaceTime in Lauren back!!! PRICELESS!!

I FaceTimed Lauren again and put the ring up to the phone! The tears & screams of joy from Lauren and her husband were heard!

I then made a plan with Lauren to meet her on my way home to return her beautiful engagement ring back to her!

Lauren was aware I have a “pay it forward” program on top of my call out fee. They made an extremely generous donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation which goes to help breast cancer patients with their financial support. (Wigs, medications, taxi, daycare, food, rent, etc) Lauren will then receive a tax receipt for the amount!!

Lauren’s smile says it all!!!

Recovering Lost Treasures: A Story of Honor, Redemption and a recovered ring at Pt. Mugu Naval Air Station

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

Losing a wedding ring can be a heart-wrenching experience, especially when it’s lost in a restricted area like the Naval Station Pt. Mugu beach. When Michael reached out to me about his lost ring, I knew it was time to put my metal detecting expertise to work.

Securing the necessary permissions to access the beach, we met at the missile park two days later to begin the search. Despite the challenges of working in a restricted area, I remained determined to reunite Michael with his cherished possession.

Starting our hunt on the south side of the beach, I initially had no luck. However, as we shifted our grid northward, a promising tone echoed from my metal detector. With precision and focus, I dug deep into the sand and, to our delight, unearthed Michael’s lost wedding ring.

While security measures prevented us from capturing the moment with a photograph, Michael’s joy was palpable. It was an honor to assist a member of our Armed Services in recovering such a meaningful item.

To all active and retired military members like Michael, your service is deeply appreciated and never forgotten. Thank you for your dedication and sacrifice, both on and off the battlefield.

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, don’t hesitate to reach out. As a professional in metal detection and ring recovery, I’m here to help you find what’s lost. Contact me at 805-290-5009 or visit www.venturacountyringfinders.com to learn more about my services.

LOST HEIRLOOM WEDDING RING WRESTLING IN A BRAMPTON PARK

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Last Saturday a young man named Shamir was out with his Friends Saturday evening in a Brampton Park calked “Black Forest South Park”.

Shamir was gifted his late Grandmother’s 24k Indian gold & diamond wedding band 10 years ago. He had the ring hanging from a thin 24k good chain.

While out with his Friends they were horsing around. He soon noticed his gold chain & ring were no longer around his neck and panic set in!

Shamir and his Friends started to hunt around for both of these precious items and spent 3-4 hours that night as well as a number of hours the next day. Shamir found the broken gold chain but did not find the precious heirloom ring.

Shanir did a google search and a number of pages came up… Kijiji, Marketplace, CarryAll Canada detector sales in Toronto. He called CarryAll and spoke to Shawn Hamilton who recommended me from “The Ring Finders” directory. Shamir called late Sunday for help.

I was able to meet up with Shamir today at lunch During my workday! We pulled more than the normal beer caps, pull tabs, along with a tonnie, a dime, an American penny, 2 keys, tons and tons of can slaw and an old broken watch… I noticed the Parks staff must have had the lawn cutting machines out so hope was fading!

My lunch hour was up and I decided to circle backto my work truck widening the grid pattern! I said one more target and BINGO there was a VDI “4” on my Equinox800 but a solid signal. I always dig the solid signals not paying attention to the numbers as Shamir wasn’t sure The karat of the ring…. so now to surprise him with a so called sad faced (lol) “wrap up” video!

Check out the video here;

Shamir was elated and was a bit in shock!! So happy to help him and his Mother to find this very sentimental heirloom wedding band!! 🌸💖🌸

Lost wedding ring on soccer field, Maitland, Fl….Found!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Gabby called me yesterday and asked for help finding her husbands lost wedding ring on a full size soccer field. I told her I was up for the challenge and little did I know how tough it would actually be. Her husband, Christian, was not able to join us but he had explained what position he plays and where he spent most of the time during his practice. The first day I set up flags and cones and covered over half of the field carefully grid searching each area. Five and a half hours worth and the temperatures were in the mid 90’s and although I was taking care to stay hydrated the humidity did wear me down.

The next day I returned to finish covering the rest of the field and I was beginning to wonder if maybe someone had picked it up already. Again it was hot, humid and muggy but I was determined to finish what I had started. And part of what drove me to find this lost wedding ring was the fact that Christian and Gabby have only been married for a little over one month! (The first day while I was searching the field, Gabby’s mother, sister and cousin came out to walk the field, hoping to eyeball the ring and we talked briefly and they too expressed their appreciation for my time and effort.). Two and a half hours into my 2nd day of searching I got a banging signal showing the target to be quite shallow. At first I could not see anything but there, well hidden under some dead grass, was Christian’s lost wedding ring! I immediately bowed my head and thanked my heavenly Father for showing me where this little beauty was hiding. I then took a few photos and sent Gabby a text with the great news. Thirty minutes later Christian showed up for soccer practice and was very, very thankful to get his precious ring back!

Heat, humidity, rain or shine, in the water, grass or sand….I am willing to look for your lost item!
