s heading from the beach house to the beach. A burst of wind pulled her hat off and it’s chin strap grabbed one of her gold hoop earrings. Within minutes of arriving, I recovered the stray earring and Sheldon was a very happy woman!
Tim and his family were spending the day at Mission Beach on Thursday. He had set up a tent and was soon informed that camping tents were not allowed. In his haste to strike the tent and gather the gear, apparently, his ring came off. When he discovered it missing, naturally, they all looked in the bags, gear, tent, and sand, but. no ring. I get the call on Saturday in the early afternoon. They had returned to the beach at the same location hoping to find the ring. Knowing the traffic and parking nightmare that is Mission Beach on a Saturday afternoon, I was able to convince the wife to come along so she could drop me off and then look for the mythical parking spot. All worked as planned, and after meeting the wife and kids, getting the low down on how the ring was lost, and being shown the search area, I begun my search. Maybe 15 seconds later, I get my first target, a solid 21 on the Equinox, and scooped up his cobalt (only my second one of these) wedding ring. Tim got me right on the spot! Everyone was thrilled and better able to enjoy the rest of the day. My wife hadn’t found that theoretical parking spot yet, so, she circled around, came back, and picked me up. Drive time, over an hour, recovery time less than a minute!

I’m late on posting this one but a few weeks ago I got a call from Chris and Heather. They had been enjoying one of our local beaches here in Pensacola looking for shells the day before when Heather’s rings came off of her hand. Unfortunately, this was both her engagement ring and her band together and they fell off somewhere on the beach in all that sand. When Heather told me where they were I immediately headed out because I knew that it was a popular beach and I had to find them quickly. Chris sent me a google pin and when I got there something didn’t look right based on my conversation earlier with Heather. A quick phone call and some telephone detective work got me to where I thought they had been and I started my search. It wasn’t very many passes laying out grid lines until I looked over just a little outside where they thought the rings might be. I remembered them saying that they were looking for shells and I saw a little pile of broken shells. These were the kind that you might pick up and then discard later when you realized they were broken. I decided to walk that way and sure enough, moments later I had the rings in my scoop. I love it when people trust me enough to have me look for their rings even when they can’t be there. When I send them that initial picture and talk to them on the phone you can hear the pure happiness coming through the line. Katelynn called me the other day about her lost ring. She had been at the beach for a volleyball tournament when in the process of hitting the ball her ring flew off into the sand, and disappeared. Her grandmother had given her the ring 3 years prior, and she wore it every day; it meant a lot to her. We arranged to meet after the tournament was over for the search, so as to not disrupt the games.
When I got to the area, Katelynn and her friends were waiting at the volley ball court. I asked a few questions, and she showed me where she had been and what she had done, so I began my search. The court was clean of all metal. I was getting no signals whatsoever. Then I got my first signal, a silver tone, one scoop, and in my basket was Katelynn’s ring. I pulled it out for her, and she was elated. I am sure she thought it was gone forever, and I was glad to reunite her with such a sentimental item. I know she slept well that night. Love those smiles!

Wow, what an awesome post! I can’t thank you again for taking the time and for your efforts in finding my ring. It’s hard to put into words just how much it meant. It’s not often that a stranger is so willing to show such kindness and willingness to help someone they don’t know. My ring is like my security blanket. It’s something so small, but I have with me at all times. It’s been there through it all and the second it’s not on my hand, something feels ‘off’ It was a strange feeling taking it off this Sunday before beach Volleyball, as typically I wouldn’t do that, but after learning my lesson from the previous week, I think it’ll have to start sitting the bench for games haha. I would hate for you to have to come out again and find it…while i’m positive that you would be able to do so! Neiva decided to play some volleyball and soon discovered that her ring was hurting her finger, so, she removed it. After the game she tried to put the ring back on, but, found her finger had swelled a bit and wouldn’t allow that. The ring was then thought to have been placed in her bag, but, apparently it was left on the blanket. Later when getting ready to leave, Neiva picked up the blanket and gave it a shake to remove the sand. When she searched for her ring, it wasn’t in the bag, and obviously now, wasn’t on the blanket either. She and her friends searched with their fingers sifting through the sand, but, could find the ring. Neiva Googled for help, and my name came up. Being a sunny Sunday afternoon during the summer, I knew the beach traffic and parking was going to be a nightmare, but, headed into the fray anyway. Sure enough, traffic was backed up, and once I got to the beach, dozens of cars were circling the lots waiting for an opening. I finally found a spot and headed to the volleyball court to meet Neiva. She showed me the area where she had her blanket and bag, and I began my search. First target read a nice solid 10 on my Equinox, but, turned out to be part of a pull tab. Next signal was a solid 6 and was her ring. A happy Neiva could now join me in the traffic and head home. A pleasure meeting you and thank you for the reward.

I received a call late in the day yesterday regarding a wedding ring lost in the water at the beach. Steven was coming out of the water when a wave hit him in the back, and knocked his ring from his finger. It immediately disappeared in the sand and water. I let him know I would be leaving to help right away.
When I arrived the tide was close to its high point, and there were 4 foot shore break crashing right on the beach. The loss had happened a few hours before, and closer to the low end of the tide cycle. I tried to do a search, but because of the wave action, was not able to get to far in the water to do a good search, and decided to come back today when the tide was low again. I spent about 1 1/2 hours doing the search when I got a good solid signal, and dug. After I dumped the scoop and kicked the sand away, I saw the gleam of gold. I took the ring and sent an email to Steven to let him know that I was successful. We arranged a meeting at the same beach later, and I was able to give his ring back. He was very happy, and surprised that it was found. Another great smile made!

I had a call for a search for a lost ring in a park yesterday. The ring was eventually found at the caller’s home and was not lost at the park, but while searching the playground for the ring I found someone’s lost iPhone 7 buried in the wood chips. The phone still had a charge, and was still working, so I looked and found the last person that was called on the phone. The phone was locked, but allowed me to call that person back. It turned out the person on the other end was a friend that happened to be there at the park the day the phone was lost, so I gave him my number to forward to his friend. His friend Anthony called me today, and we arranged to meet so I could get his phone back to him.
We arranged to meet at a store about half way between our houses. Needless to say Anthony was very happy, and told me that they had searched for the phone for quite a while after the loss. I am glad I was able to help him out.

Denise called, she had been at the beach, when brushing the sand off of her clothes, her ring flew off into the sand and was gone. This was her grandmother’s ring, and she cherished it. She had not left the area, and it had happened just a little bit earlier, so I knew the possibilities of a recovery were very good. I let her know that I was on my way, and would let her know when I arrived.
When I got to where Denise was she showed me where she had been standing, and what she was doing when the ring flew off, so I began my search. I searched all of the area she had gone over, and the ring was not there, so I expanded the area. I found the ring about 10 feet from the original area, sitting on top of the sand. Denise was very grateful, and figured she would not even have looked there had I not come along. What a nice end to a day!
