I received a call from Holly yesterday afternoon to help search for her engagement ring that was lost the previous evening in the grass. She tried searching with a metal detector but was unable to find it, and that was when she reached out to me. After getting some information from her, I headed up to Galloway, NJ to search for the white gold engagement ring. Shortly after I started to search the grassy area, the ring was found!

On the official first day of summer Viola lost her platinum wedding band in the ocean while tossing a football on the beach in Cape May, NJ. After realizing that her ring had fallen off in the water, she saw a fellow metal detectorist combing the beach who referred her to me.  We set a time to meet and search for the ring.  The search began in waist deep water in the ocean and after a quick but though search, the ring was found 20 minutes later! The ring was recovered and returned to its owner!

Lost ring in Eagle Mountain: found

When Bob got married, his wife gave him a custom 18K gold ring. He has worn that ring for over 50 years. Last weekend, while watching his grandson play flag football, he discovered that the ring was gone. The family searched for hours, but they didn’t find it. Bob found The Ring Finders, and gave me a call. I met Bob and the family at the football fields with my metal detecting equipment. They pointed out the areas where they thought the ring could be, and after about 30 minutes of searching, I found the ring!

While he was growing up in Wyoming, Bob’s family hunted elk for food. This custom-made ring is a reminder of that heritage: two elk teeth are embedded in the gold. Over the decades, the teeth wore down and cavities formed. Since he loved the ring so much, Bob got a dentist family friend to fill the cavities. This ring is one-of-a-kind!

I received an e-mail late last night from Kale requesting my service to locate his lost wedding band. I called Kale and arranged a meeting at 9.00 am this morning.

I met Kale in his front yard and he told me that he planted an apple tree and had felt the ring fly off his finger.  He thought his ring had possibly ended up in the hole that he had dug.  He searched the hole and his front yard and had no luck.  I told Kale that the ring would probably be within a radius of 15 to 20 feet from the tree.  When I asked him if he had raked his lawn, he replied that he had around the apple tree in hopes that he would find the ring.  I did a quick search around the area then moved to where he left his rake the night before  and a foot away I found his ring tucked nicely in the grass.

Another happy Client,  Thank you Kale.

Mark lost his wedding band while splitting wood in his backyard this past weekend.  He removed his gloves a few times during the process and thought the ring must have come off that way.  He searched the area for a few hours and even went as far as to disassemble the cord of wood to look for it. I received a call from his wife Lindsay yesterday who told me about the situation, and we planned to meet today.  After a few passes with the Equinox, I found the ring in the soil under a pile of leaves. The ring is now back where it belongs!

The ring means a lot to Victor it was given to him by his grandmother.  It was lost after dark last night while he was walking his dog. The ring slipped off  his finger when the leash got caught around it.  With a quick search the ring was found in the grass. Thank you to fellow ring finder Rich Hageney for the referral.

FOUND! Lost Wedding Band Avalon NJ By john Favano

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

I received a call from Meg who told me she dropped her wedding band in the sand in Avalon, NJ. After speaking to her and asking several questions about where and how she lost it, I started my search. I detected for about 40 minutes without any luck. Since she knew exactly where she dropped the ring, I knew it couldn’t be in the sand and had to be somewhere else. I asked her to check her bag again and sure enough it was there. It must have fallen into something inside the beach bag. The ring was found in the last place that we looked and went right back on her finger!
