Wedding Ring Recovered at Johnson Beach Florida

Hal called me about 4 in the afternoon to see if I could find his wife’s lost wedding ring. He and his family were staying near the Alabama beaches and decided to take their boat out to a secluded beach in Florida called Johnson Beach. Johnson Beach is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore and the ring was lost on the intercostal side of the beach. Hal sent me a location and there wasn’t a way for me get to them by car without a 3 or 4 mile walk through the National Seashore which doesn’t allow metal detecting for archeology reasons. I tried calling the Park service for a permit but I think everyone was off work and I got a recording. I discussed this with Hal and he said he would come get me from a marina several miles away. By the time I got to where the ring was lost the sun was getting pretty low in the sky! his wife was afraid she would never see her ring again. the area to search wasn’t that big but the water was dark from recent rain. I ask lots of questions about what they were doing to try and pinpoint the location to start the search. His wife and daughter described at one point they were in the water doing cheers routines and animated with their arms the activity. It was the clue I was hoping for and asked about where they were. They identified and areas about 10 foot wide and I started the search. Within 10 minutes I got the unmistakable tone of a gold ring. Ring recovered, everyone happy and I didn’t get arrested by the Park police, a good day all around!

Lost Platinum Wedding Ring Found! – Geneva Lake, Wisconsin

Sunday July 10th 2022, found Chesterfield, Missouri resident, Bill Thanner enjoying a welcome vacation with his wife and three children on the picturesque shores of Geneva Lake, near Fontana, Wisconsin. While snorkeling and diving for shells at Fontana Beach, Bill dropped some of the shells his children collected. It was when he reached down to grab them in chest-deep water, his platinum wedding ring slipped off his finger and disappeared into the murky water. Together, they tried snorkeling for the ring but it was nowhere to be found. Bill felt sickened to his stomach at the thought of losing his ring after 15 years of marriage. It was a sad drive home to Missouri.

Several days later, Bill’s mother, who lives some 800-miles away in the state of Georgia, heard a person on a local radio station talking about The Ring Finders metal-detecting services. She informed Bill, who in turn called me on Monday, July 25, a full two weeks after his ring went missing. Could I assist?

I arranged the 45-minute drive to Fontana Beach early the next morning. The beach was deserted at the time. Using markers Bill had sent to me via Google satellite maps, I systematically scoured the vicinity using my XP-Deus II SCUBA-rated detector. I found a collection of coins, a cross pendant and a cheap lady’s costume ring, but Bill’s platinum wedding band was nowhere to be found. I wondered, had someone already found it? After about an hour and half, I decided to expand the search area. That was when I heard a crisp signal in my headphones. The numbers on my controller screen told me the target was quite possibly Bill’s platinum wedding ring. As it turned out, it was!

I took some photos of the ring and texted them to Bill right away for identification purposes. Bill responded, “That’s it! Unbelievable… the Mayors Jewelry symbol and the missing ruby hole is mine for sure.”

I immediately mailed the ring to Bill from a Milwaukee post office the following morning. It arrived on Saturday, July 30th, just shy of three weeks since it disappeared in a Wisconsin lake. Bill texted, “Received! Unbelievable! Thank you!”

Lost wedding ring found today that was lost in the woods for over a month. The ring was found in Demorest Ga. She was happy to get it back and we were happy to help her find it. Her and her husband reached out and found The RingFinders and we were able to get it back on her finger. Always glad to help others find their lost items that mean so much to them.

Lost Gold Ring Found in Grosse Pointe Michigan

A Golden Get-Away……

…was finally in the works for Jessica as she arrived for her first visit to Michigan. Excited to spend time with some friends in the back yard, somehow her gold ring took a get-away off her finger. The ring has always had a special meaning since she received it from a family member. Pressed for time with a busy schedule, she didn’t want to leave it and continue with the fun activities planned. On arrival I quickly started to grid search the area in question with my MXT metal detector and in less than 10 minutes I got a nice signal thru the headphones of the metal detector and a good reading on the metal detector meter. As I lifted the ring out of the grass Jessica immediately knew it was found and came running towards me from the picnic table. Totally thrilled that it was in the yard and not somewhere else a sigh of relief came over her as she held it in her hand. Now with the ring captured she was excited again to start enjoying her ‘Welcome to Michigan’ golden get-away.

Gents Gold Wedding Band Lost & Found On Swanage Beach

Ian from Watford was enjoying a holiday swim in the sea during a spell of beautiful weather in Swanage. To his horror he felt the moment his wedding ring slip from his finger & fell to the sea floor. At first he could just make out the ring lying on the bottom but within seconds it disappeared.

Confident that I would recover it I set about searching the area but after 20 minutes still nothing! Expanding my search area out & under 3 feet of water the detector let out the distinctive scream of gold! Bare a centimetre under the sand the ring  was clearly visible.

Ian was quite taken back that we had recovered it & made a kind donation to the Margaret Green Animal Sanctuary.

Lost – Men’s White Gold Wedding Band, Corolla, OBX, NC – FOUND!!

On Tuesday, I got a call at about 10:31am…I did not get it.  Around noon, I called the number back…no answer.  Finally, at 12:30, Tyler called me.  He said that he lost his white gold wedding band on the beach.  I asked him if he thought it was in the water; he said no, he didn’t think so.

I arrived on the scene in Corolla a few hours later.  Tyler was not sure when he lost the ring.  He gave me a general area involving tossing a football near a stump in the water.  The search area was about 30 yards long and just past a stump that was rapidly disappearing in the rising tide.  I fired up the Deus ii and started at the water and worked up toward the parking area.

After I was convinced that I had covered the area, I began working the water.  I was not prepared for a water search but went out about thigh-high.  Nothing!  The tide was rising too fast so we decided to come back tomorrow at low tide which would be around 12:30pm.

I arrived this time in swim shorts.  The beach had grown by at least 30 yards toward the water!  I started large sweeps to cover all the territory that I needed to.  I took a minute to pray!

I continued and after just a few passes my hat slipped down.  I stopped to adjust it and set my coil down on an area of sand that I had gone by.  I got a bit signal as I lower the coil.  When I had finished with my hat, I investigated the hit.  Scoop one was nothing.  Scoop two and I saw the ring shining in the sand.

I put the ring in my cupped hand and called Tyler over.  I asked him if he would go over where he lost the ring again.  As he did, I raised my left hand up with the ring, showing it to his wife Caroline and then bringing into his view.  Happiness!

Heirloom Gold Ring found and returned, Condado, Puerto Rico

David lost his ring while playing with his family at the beach in Condado, Puerto Rico.

David felt the ring fly off his finger and land in the shallow water behind him. After searching for a while, he gave up hope. He was mentally accepting the ring was lost forever.

4 days had passed since he lost the ring, and the thoughts of the ring haunted him. So, he did a quick search and found The Ring Finders.

I got a call from David on a Saturday afternoon. He explained what had happened and gave me an idea where the ring was lost. Within 30 minutes I was meeting David at the location and proceeded to search for the lost gold ring.

Since David had a good idea where the ring might have landed, I was able to find David’s ring within a couple of minutes!!

While out searching for coins and jewelry in the water Rick Browne (Ring Finder) & I were approached by a gentleman named Matt. He asked if we were The Ring Finders from Cape Cod. We both responded YES with enthusiasm. We asked why? He said that his daughter, had lost her precious necklace the day before, and had we found it? We asked if it was in the water, or sand, and he said sand. We hadn’t done the sand area as of yet so let’s give it a try.

We met Matt’s wife Ronni, Abby his daughter, they were all on vacation from New Jersey. I asked Abby to stand where she last saw it the day before. They had been searching with flashlights the night before for over an hour with no luck. Just about then, Rick was already digging a target, and I had a target too. I dug down, and out popped Abby’s chain, with it had a Birth date, Moon phase Medallion attached to it. Abby and Ronni were emotional as one can expect. Congratulations all around for everyone. People clapped as I handed it back to Abby, Rick and I were so happy to be in the rite spot, at the time when needed. Congratulations, to Abby, her Mom Ronni, and Dad Matt, for not giving up and believing. Sincerely Leighton

Melissa gave me a call and told me that her gold ring dropped in the sand in Longport, New Jersey.  She explained that it had fallen when she went to get ice cream.  I was a few minutes away in Ocean City, NJ and arrived shortly after. I started the search with my metal detector it was found within minutes. Melissa was happy to have the ring back on her finger.

LOST DIAMOND GOLD ENGAGEMENT RING AT SANTA MONICA BEACH FOUND & RETURNED

About 1:30 on Saturday afternoon, I got a call from Kelsie, she told me that her sister-in-law Kristen just lost her ring at the beach in Santa Monica. I agreed to come to help right away, I packed my snacks and drove seventy minutes through downtown LA to the beach. I arrived there just before 3 pm, and met them on the beach. Kristen told me she gave her ring to her husband for safe-keeping before she went into the water, on the way out her husband met her half way from the beach chairs with a towel to dry off. Who said chivalry is dead? They soon realized the ring was gone. I started my search where he headed off with the towel, then three swings with the detector and got a loud solid signal. There it was, glittering in the sun in my scoop. Kristen was so happy to get her ring back. There was a crowd of onlookers surrounding the couple who all cheered when I found the ring.
