Man’s wedding band recovered in Fennville, Michigan

  • from Manistee (Michigan, United States)

I got in touch with Evan A. from an email saying that he lost his wedding ring while finishing his landscaping around his house. While searching on line for metal detectors he came across Lost My Stuff and sent out an email. As a subscriber, I contacted Evan right away. I told him that I was with The Ring Finders and got his phone number off the LMS site. Dave Boyer, my fellow Ring Finder and I were on our way to another search and told Evan that we could come out to his house on Thursday evening. When we got to his house we looked at the fresh wood chips that he had spread around the flower beds and within 5 minutes I found his ring under a bush. Evan and his wife were at work so they put their trust in us as strangers who replied to a lost ring request.  He was impressed “by the response time and the integrity these two individuals possessed”. It reminded him of prior military days in the Air Force, “where he was sworn to uphold our three core values, integrity, service before self and excellence in all we do”.

Ring lost at Mission Bay found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Michael was out on the beach at Mission Bay in front of his apartment when, while waving to someone, his loose fitting wedding ring flew off into the sand. A search by sifting through the sand proved fruitless, so, an online search was in order where he found The Ring Finders website. When I turned on my phone in the morning, I noticed the text and contacted Michael. We made plans for a 10am meet and search. After arriving, meeting Michael and his lovely wife, we went to the site while talking and getting the ring loss story on the way. The search area was fairly large, but, not ridiculous. All dry sand and maybe 30 X 100 feet or so. I started at one end and after 3-4 passes, several coins, and a dog tag later, his gold wedding band came to light. All smiles on the happy couple now and thank you for the reward.

Lost Cartier earring found

  • from Fort Worth (Texas, United States)

Scott called me to help him find a lost earring in his bedroom shag carpet. It was a challenge because of the rebar in the concrete but after about 20 minutes I found that little earring . Tesoro likes that small gold where others won’t even pick it up! Glad I could help and I’m sure his wife smiled too when she came home!

Lost wedding ring in the surf, Daytona Beach, Florida….Found and Returned!

Nathan emailed me late Friday night and asked if there was any chance I could help him look for his lost tungsten wedding ring at the beach. He explained that they had spent part of the afternoon on the sand and in the water and only realized his ring was missing later while eating dinner. Nathan was not real used to wearing his wedding ring because he and his lovely wife had just gotten married four days earlier and they were on their honeymoon the day he lost his ring. Bummer, hey?! And to make matters worse they were going to be returning home to Missouri in just two days. I assured Nathan that his lost wedding ring was not going to be washed away and if he could remember exactly where they entered the water and about how far out they went…then there was a very good chance of finding his lost ring.
The next morning I met Nathan on the beach and he explained how they had stayed in the sun light because they were a bit chilled and the setting sun was shinning between two very large buildings that were quite close together…so that was a huge help in putting me in the best location. Before getting started I told Nathan that I would probably be digging various targets along the way and if I were to find his ring he would be the first to know. So I started out my grid search just to the north of the 60 feet wide target area and I proceeded to dig various coins and junk items. I was going from the wet sand out to almost chest deep and on my 6th pass I got a solid, sharp signal on my TDI Beach Hunter that turned out to be Nathan’s lost ring! The relief on Nathans face was obvious and the smile said it all! I really thank God for helping me find Nathan’s lost wedding ring and I wonder who else out there may need my help as well?! Lost something in the water or on the land? Call, text or email ASAP!

Sentimental Ring recovered, Cincinnati Ohio

  • from Cincinnati (Ohio, United States)

I received a call on a Sunday morning from a young lady regarding a ring that had been lost the night before. While swimming in a creek with friends, she said she had felt her ring slip off of her finger. After searching for hours with three friends she headed home discouraged, fearing that her ring was lost.

Searching the internet she located the International Ring Finders Site and saw that I was a local Ring Finder and she contacted me first thing Sunday morning. We were unable to meet on Sunday and rains were forecast so we were worried we might not be able to search, but I met with her boyfriend on Monday evening and he took me to the site to search. Within about 30 minutes I was fortunate to be able to locate and recover the young lady’s ring.

The ring had sentimental value because her boyfriend had given it to her on her Birthday and it was her favorite. ” I am so happy that Douglas was able to help  me! He was very kind and saved something very memorable for me!”

I was glad to have been able to search for and recover this ring and happy they called me to assist!

Found Glasses In Vermont Woods

I got an email a couple weeks ago from a lady who lost her glasses out in the woods. She really needs these glasses because she got a bad eye injury while in a car accident. She had been to at least 2 eye doctors before they got her into a satisfactory pair of glasses. They were quite expensive, too.

She and a friend are creating trails in a beautiful piece of woods that will soon be in a conservation trust for the public to enjoy forever. She was out walking on the trails, lost track of time, and realized she was late to meet some people that were arriving to see the area. So, she decided to take a shortcut run though the woods, which didn’t go so well. She took quite a tumble and her glasses went flying. Later, she looked several hours and couldn’t find them. The frames were a color which blended too well with the forest floor.

So, last weekend she showed me the area and I spent nearly 3 hours searching, with no luck. I told her that we would eventually find them and not to give up. My wife and I went back this morning, we expanded the search area and in less than 30 minutes I found them. They were hiding in s clump of ferns where we never would’ve found them without a metal detector.

We met her at her house and made her day with the news. We visited for awhile and come to find out, her house was built in the early 1800’s and she also has a super old log cabin on her land. She invited us back in the Spring for what should prove to be an awesome relic hunt. Hopefully her kids will be joining us, they will be amazed at what has been hiding under the soil. I can’t wait!!!

Lost wedding ring in Palm Desert / Indio found!

  • from Arkansas City (Kansas, United States)

Received a call from Trevor that he lost his wedding ring while vacationing in Indio. He was playing catch in the backyard and at one point threw his glove in the air. When the glove left his hand, so did his ring! The ring disappeared somewhere in the grass. After renting a metal detector with no luck, he found ring finders and gave me a call. After 30 minutes of searching, I located the ring about 30 feet from the area we thought it would be, 14k White Gold ring. Trevor wasn’t available when I found the ring but mailed it out to him. Trevor was thrilled the ring came back to him, another successful return!

Lost Engagement Ring Found at Carlsbad beach

  • from Arkansas City (Kansas, United States)

I was getting some fresh air at the beach and doing some metal detecting recently. As I was cleaning the beach during a very low tide, I hit a nice clear signal and out popped a BEAUTIFUL diamond/platinum engagement ring about 10 inches down in the sand. It’s probably the nicest ring I have found. Knowing that someone was really missing this ring, I put up several ads that a ring had been found. Two days later I was contacted by an individual who had lost a ring and described it in the right location and the exact description of the ring! After a few texts it was clear we had found the owner! The story was, she had lost the ring while vacationing with her family in Carlsbad a few days before. She had been playing with her kids in the waves when she felt the ring fly off into the surf. After some devastating moments and some frantic searching, it was clear that her engagement ring was lost.

She was beyond ecstatic that I had found the missing ring. Unbelievable really. Turns out she was celebrating her anniversary the day after we spoke. Because she lived in another state and was only here on vacation, I mailed the ring to her as soon as possible and she said it was the best anniversary present she could have received. A great return, so happy she has her beautiful ring back in her possession and best of luck to her and her husband.

I was called for a lost ring in the yard. Somehow this ring sprouted wings and sailed over the yard. Landing next to a clump of tall grass. It did not take long to reunite the ring with its owner. Smiles all around!
