Recently, I received a text from a Santa Barbara resident who preferred to stay anonymous. She’d lost something irreplaceable: a small decorative box containing three rings and a diamond necklace. The missing items included her husband’s gold band, her white gold wedding ring, a jade ring—a sentimental gift from years ago—and a necklace with the diamond from her engagement ring. This wasn’t just jewelry; it was a treasure chest of her life’s memories, kept in her living room for years until it vanished.
She was devastated and convinced she’d searched everywhere. While my metal detecting gear excels outdoors, indoor searches pose challenges due to household metal and EMF interference. Still, I offered my expertise as an experienced searcher to tackle this mystery. We met at her Santa Barbara home, and I suggested we sit at her kitchen table—a calm spot to think clearly. Together, we listed every possible location for the box, planning to search each spot thoroughly and cross it off once cleared. This methodical approach helps clients stay focused when stress clouds their judgment.
One spot on the list was a large bookshelf in her living room. At first glance, it seemed unlikely, but we noticed the shelves were deep and shadowy. A closer look was worth it—and there, tucked in the back atop a row of books, was the small wooden box, blending perfectly with its surroundings. Inside were her rings and necklace, safe and sound! The relief and joy in that moment were palpable as she reclaimed her cherished pieces.
Finding a lost ring in Santa Barbara—or anywhere—often feels like detective work. It takes patience, a clear plan, and sometimes a fresh perspective. That’s where I come in. If you’re wondering how to find a lost ring in Santa Barbara, whether it’s buried in sand or hidden at home, call or text Dave The Ring Finder at 805-290-5009. Let’s create a plan to recover your lost jewelry today!

Olivia lost her ring in Lake Avalon early in the morning on New Years Day when her future brother in law, Enzo, put her over his shoulder and jumped off the end of the dock and into the lake!  She has had this ring for the last two years and it has her initials engraved on it.  This is her most prized possession as it is a family tradition for generations that once you graduate from high school the family gifts you a gold signet ring to celebrate your hard work and their love and appreciation for you!

Olivia wrote:  “Later that day Enzo, my future brother in law, found theringfinders information on line and gave Mike a call.  Mike did an amazing job at finding my size 2 gold pinky ring in the black mucky lake water.   He managed to find it in less than 8 minutes!  He was super kind and a very personable guy.  I am so thankful for him coming out and saving my most prized possession.  I really didn’t think I was going to see it again.  I would definitely recommend him to get the job done!”

2 Lost Gold Rings Found Inside House in Sterling Heights Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

FIND No. 200…….

……FAB-YULE-US !!……

…..Got a text from Marilyn just after Christmas 2024 stating her 2 gold rings went missing during her family’s celebrations. Hers was white gold w/ diamonds and her deceased mom’s ring is yellow gold w/ rubies. Marilyn remembered taking them off together but then couldn’t find them the next day. With lots going on Christmas day thinking back she was able to narrow the area in the house she felt was an area of interest. Mentioning she checked many locations I suggested we check again. Methodically going thru some items with my metal detector, a good signal sounded out. The rings appeared to have fallen into some bins and got stuck. Marilyn gasped in amazement as the rings appeared! Now with New Year here and the chiming of bells, She and her family will literally be ringing in the new year!

Lost a ring?
Don’t wait to call!

The call came after receiving a text from Kera. She explained that they had been in the middle of a playful snowball fight when her cherished gold Claddagh ring slipped from her finger and vanished into the white blanket covering the ground. After searching with no success, she reached out the Ring Finders South Jersey for help.
I met her parents at the scene and pulled out my metal detector. The snow had transformed the yard into an endless sea of white. After thirty minutes of careful scanning, the detector’s familiar tone broke through the winter silence. There, nestled in the yard, lay the gold ring—its distinctive Irish heart, crown, and hands design a welcome sight.
Everyone was relieved the ring was found!

The ring finders Metal detecting service is here in San Diego to help. WHO ya gonna Call?  Curtis Cox @ 760 889 2751  Buying or renting Metal detectors will not help with out proper experience.

David was in need recently of my service after his wedding band disappeared in the backyard while pulling weeds. I arrived promptly and was able to recover his precious buried gold ring hidden amongst grass & other nearby metal objects. Instant relief when you think it may be lost forever.

This was an easy recovery for me but can be difficult or impossible when using metal detectors near homes & power lines due to Electrical interferences that causes the equipment to beep erratically. The Machine I used on this search has 96 different frequencies that I can quickly adjust for a stable threshold. It gets even more complicated when you need to ground balance or adjust the settings for the first time. Don’t waste your time or money,,Call a Professional Ring Finder!

Right Place, Right Time… Lost Cellphone FOUND while Metal Detecting at the Beach in Tampa Bay, FL!

  • from Huntsville (Alabama, United States)

Christina McCree – Ring Finder/Metal Detectorist for northern Alabama and southern/middle Tennessee.  Call or text ASAP, anytime 24/7 at 610-504-6135.

I’m in Tampa Bay, Florida visiting my parents at their beach condo for New Years week.  My dad and I were out metal detecting at one of the local beaches yesterday (December 30th, 2024).  I was detecting on the wet sand along the shoreline when a gentleman flagged me down.  He told me that his wife, Lisa, had just lost her cellphone in the dry sand.  They tried raking their hands and feet through the sand, but couldn’t find it.  A couple next to them suggested using a metal detector… and they just so happened to spot me metal detecting, lol.  Talk about right place, right time!  I told him that I’d be more than happy to help.

We walked over and I met Lisa.  I asked the usual questions including how her cellphone was lost.  Lisa knew she had it on her when her family was moving their beach cart, towels, etc. closer to the shoreline.  It was a fairly small area to search with a metal detector, but it would be nearly impossible to find Lisa’s cellphone without one.  Her cellphone case is also a tan/sand color, so it easily blends in.

I asked Lisa for the outer boundaries and I setup a visual grid.  I cleared the main area in about 5-10 minutes with my Minelab Equinox 900.  Her family was digging a hole in the new area, so they picked up the toys and moved the beach cart out of the way.  I started searching the new area and got a good jumpy signal near the hole where the cart was.  I used my fingers to search the sand (I didn’t want to use my sand scoop and risk damaging Lisa’s cellphone).  I quickly felt and saw an outline of a cellphone!  We had found it!  I picked up the cellphone and held it in the air to show the group.  I gave Lisa a big hug and everyone around us began cheering.  Lisa was so happy and relieved to have her phone back!  We have so many photo memories and other personal things on a cellphone that we just can’t get back if it’s lost forever.

I talked with Lisa for a few minutes and she told me that her family is from Ohio.  They were in town for a wedding and decided to add a few days to their trip so they could go to the beach.  I was so happy that I was at that beach on that particular day and time.  Lisa said that getting her cellphone back really made her day/year.  I told her that it really made mine as well.  I give all praise and glory to God!

Here are the smiles I found in 2024!  7 items found — 5 rings, 1 earring, and 1 cellphone.  Happy New Years to all and God Bless!!!

Lost White Gold & Diamonds Wedding Rings at Ulua Lagoon Beach Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I returned from a hunt at Aulani Lagoon.  Shannon on vacation from Mt. Airy, Maryland left a voicemail saying his wife Kelly lost two White Gold & Diamonds Wedding Rings in the dry sand of Ulua lagoon.  While applying suntan lotion Kelly had taken off her rings and placed them on a beach chair.  Then as she went to adjust her chair the rings flew off into the sand and disappeared.  They had looked carefully but they were out of sight.  I told Shannon I would be over from the other lagoon in a moment and he told me there location on the beach.  As I headed down to the beach Shannon noticed me with my gear and waved me over.  We moved a beach chair out of the way and I started a grid search.  On the second leg I got a nice #10 on the Manticore and in one gentle scoop there were Kelly’s beautiful rings lying together in the scoop.  I let her reach in and retrieve them.  Shannon stated that wasn’t where they were looking and realized Kelly really adjusted that beach chair with some force.  All good, vacation saved.  Aloha to Kelly & Shannon!

Lost Property Markers (Irons) Found in Grosse Pointe Park Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Defining the Boundaries……

….Is something all of us have had to deal with all our lives, from childhood when our parents set boundaries and now as adults where we set boundaries on finances, who we are friends with, and how much we want to deal with any situation and so on. Defining boundaries also creates an atmosphere of mutual understanding by showing respect for ourselves and gaining the respect from people in general. When John called me, he discussed his interest in locating his property markers to help him define the boundaries of his land before he started to trim some trees. Using my magnetic locator metal detector, we did some quick measurements to get us in the area for each concealed property iron. It was quick work with the magnetic locator to reveal each iron. Now with these fine lines clearly defined, it’s up to John and each neighbor to honor that boundary.

Snowball Fight, Expensive Ring Lost… and Found!

If you lost jewelry or valuables – call me right away! 646-235-8797

Christmas snowball fights are all fun and games—until someone loses a Cartier Panthère ring in the backyard! That’s exactly what happened to Chloe while she was tossing snowballs with (and at!) her cousin on Christmas Day.

Chloe and her dad, Jack, spent three days braving the cold, searching high and low in the snow for her stunning 18K yellow gold ring, but it was nowhere to be found. That’s when Jack decided to call in some reinforcements—me!

On December 27, I arrived, ready to turn their snowy backyard into a treasure map. With a little patience and the help of my trusty metal detector, we struck gold (literally) in just 30 minutes!

The moment we found it, the joy and relief on their faces said it all. Chloe got her beautiful Cartier Panthère ring back, and the snowball fight story gained a happy ending everyone will remember for years to come.

Moral of the story? Snowball fights are better without losing jewelry, but if you do, The Ring Finders are here to help!
