*** Dave’s friend from Australia was visiting him in San Clemente at Riviera Beach. At the end of the day he realized his white gold wedding band was missing. He wasn’t sure if the loss happened at the beach, but he discovered it missing 20 minutes after leaving the beach.

The next day I responded to Dave’s call for help. He showed me a large area where they had been the day before. He had to leave to his work, I would not need any more directions. The beach only had three people on the towel line, so I cleared the major part of the towel line before more beach goers sat on the potential area of the loss. After that I concentrated on the rest of the sand leading off the beach.

After about 1-1/2 hours, I had cleared all the area except where the three people were sitting. Then I saw them pack up to leave the beach. A couple minutes later I had the missing ring in my sand scoop. The only people on the beach that morning were sitting on the lost ring.

Next thing I did was call Dave so we could arrange to meet near his work place to return the ring. Dave would surprise his friend when he returns from a side trip to the east coast.

… Brianna lost her phone at San Clemente Beach, CA. She was sure it was at the beach after she discovered it missing when she got to the parking lot near the pier. She and her friends were at a fire pit and several other places in a couple hundred yards of main beach. It could have also been lost at the children’s swings. Brianna offered to meet me at the location but I felt it wouldn’t be necessary.

I was able to drive the 20 mile drive to the San Clemente main beach an hour after the call. My best guess of where to start would be the swings. As it worked out the phone did not show up at the swings. An hour and a half later of grid searching towards the fire pit the iPhone showed up a couple feet from the fire pit.

I called Brianna and she was able to drive to the beach to pick up her phone.. Another happy lady and very grateful to have her phone after 24 hours without it.
