Elias called the Metal Detector Man to help him find his jewelry lost in the sand.. If you need help call or text 949-500-2136

*** Elias lost two pendants in the sand when his gold necklace broke some where near the volley ball court. He had been at a volleyball tournament most the day in Santa Monica, CA.

I was able to meet him an hour after he called me. He had errands to take care of so he left me in the zone of the loss which was probably 3 or 4 volleyball courts.

I spent two hours grid searching before finding the gold eye pendant. The other pendant never showed up..

He met me at 8pm to pick up the eye pendant. I was disappointed that I couldn’t the other pendant, but Elias was happy to have this one returned.

LOST NATIVE AMERICAN JEWELRY IN THE ALTADENA FIRE FOUND AND RETURNED

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

Felisha called me and asked if I could help her find some sterling silver Native American jewelry that was lost when her house burned down in the Altadena fire. It was very important to her because her late mother had handed it down to her. I told her that it could have survived. I met her at the site as soon as the weather permitted on the first clear day.  We’ve had a lot of rain lately. I shoveled and sifted after moving some debris and found all six of her silver bracelets and one of her silver chains. I also found a sterling silver pocket knife that belonged to her late  father. The search on the other side of the fireplace was a different story.  There were cat figurines and family china that were important to her but they were buried under plaster and chicken wire walls that had collapsed inward. I broke up the wall with a large crowbar and a shovel to expose the chicken wire. I used an electric cutting grinder to slice through the chicken wire then tossed 20 to 40 pound segments out of the way. I finally exposed some of the figurines, native American pottery and an old collectable tile. This was a labor intensive search. Digging for a couple of hours in a hazmat suit can feel like your in a sauna but the search was successful and Falisha was happy to be reunited with her prized possessions.

UCI Student Lost Car Key Fob .. Corona Del Mar State Beach

Call or text ASAP  Stan Ross the metal detector Man .. 949-500-2136 ..Timing is very important for items lost in public areas.. Items lost in yards or other private property may be located after many years. Call for advice about your chances to get your lost items recovered.

*** Marilyn is a student at University of California Irvine, she called me asking for help finding her Toyota electronic key fob lost in the sand. She said it happened at Corona Del Mar State Beach which is in Newport Beach.

She was in class but able to send me a marked up screen shot of the area. She could meet me after her last class in about 4 hours. We didn’t have time for me to ask very many questions. I knew she would soon be there and I could get more details.

When Marilyn met me, I showed her the locations I had already grid searched. My heart sank when she told me the loss happened 3 days before. This is a heavily maintained beach and many people detect this beach.

I could show her where I had already searched. She said it might be a bit further south. Turning left and walking  40ft. in a straight line to start a new grid line. Boom! first target at 40ft was Marilyn’s key fob. She doesn’t know how lucky we were. I’m not sure I would have even tried the search if she had told me the loss occurred three days before.

Key fob searches are difficult they do not always get buried, the sifting machines or beach rake machines pick them up or move them . It always feels good to help someone like Marilyn who was so grateful for my help.

Sentimental Silver Ring Lost in Sand .. Orange County Beach, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Mobile metal detecting at your location.. Stan 949-500-2136

** This was the second time that Erin had called me for help finding a lost item in the sand. The first time was unsuccessful as she had been many other places the day she lost a bracelet. I could only eliminate the beach sand area.

This time Erin was positive her sentimental silver ring was on the beach because she had taken it off to apply sunscreen. Our problem was to get back to the general location. Erin could not meet me till later that afternoon.

I went as soon as I finished talking to her. I had a cross street name and my best clue was she had been near a volleyball court.  It was worth my time , because her ring was recovered in less than an hour. It was my privilege to find and return Erin’s ring. She was so excited and grateful to have her ring returned.

If you need help or advice about how to find your lost ring ? Call or text Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136 .. “I WILL TRY ANYWHERE” with or without you.

LOST SILVER WEDDING RING in FAYETTEVILLE, NC….. FOUND!!!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

So on my way back home from my Goldsboro, NC recovery, I get a call from a guy in Fayetteville, NC that lost his silver wedding ring in his backyard while cleaning up trees and debris 2 weeks ago.

I make the deture and head his way. Get to his house, we head to the back and I start my search! The ring is not foubd where he thought he lost it and where he had already found his copper ring.

I advise we backtrack his steps. We start from the point of where he had taken them off and placed into his pocket along with his keys. 15-20 feet from there in the middle of the back grassy area just off his back porch, I get strong hit and look down to shiny silver roundness!

Man I really enjoy this hobby and helping people get their priceless treasures back!!

AIRLOOM ROLEX WATCH AND GOLD RING LOST IN THE PALISADES FIRE FOUND AND RETURNED

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

Jillian called me and told me that she was referred to me by Audra who I had helped find an engagement ring after the fire.  I went to the property a couple of days later to help her locate two safes that were lost in the fire and buried under the rubble. When I arrived I was told that the area were the safes were located was down about 10 feet and under two or three feet of rubble. I had to break open an iron grate that covered the ladder  before I could climb down. It took a few trips to carry the equipment down the steps . I cut through plaster , cement and drywall to get to the area that the safes were buried. That took over an hour. Finally I uncovered one safe and then the other. One was empty but in the other one I found Jillians father in laws Rolex watch that was handed down to her husband.  I Also found  a gold ring and some silver coins. This search was a little challenging because  I’m not fond of heights and I didn’t want what was left  of the house to collapse on me but I did come out unscathed.

Bill contacted me about doing a search at his property where his home had succumbed to the fire in January. He was most interested in finding his wife’s wedding and engagement rings. We arranged a day and time to meet, and I was able to go.

When I got there Bill was already at the property. I introduced myself, and began asking questions, wanting to know where the rings had been, and where he thought I should look. His wife was on the way, but we got started right away. Bill showed me the area where he remembered last seeing the jewelry box, and we ran an estimated area of the search. I donned my safety gear, and began moving the big stuff out of the way in order to get to finer debris. When Bill’s wife Lourdes arrived, she came over to say that I was looking in the wrong area, and that I should be looking on the other side of the room. She showed me where she believed the rings should be. and that’s where I began. It wasn’t that Bill was wrong because there was a jewelry box where he remembered, but what he didn’t know was that his wife put her rings elsewhere. Knowing where to look is very important in these searches. I began working through the debris shovelful by shovelful, and noticed that Bill and Lourdes had left. Not long after, I found the wedding ring and placed in a container. When they returned Lourdes came up and asked how things were going, and I showed her the ring I found. She got very excited and hopeful that the other ring would be found. About 15 minutes later I was able to find the engagement ring, which pretty much made their day. They had lost everything, but I was able to help them find a precious memory, and bring a little joy back in their lives.

Two Weeks Married Husband Lost His Gold Ring .. Huntington Harbor, Huntington Beach, CA.

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Stan the Metal Detector Man is waiting for your call … 949-500-2136

*** Kayla and Sam had only been married a couple weeks when he lost his new gold wedding band in a swimming area at Trinidad Park swim area, Huntington Beach, CA.

I met them that same day to get the story and conditions.

The area of the loss would require hooka diving as it could be 10-12ft deep. I returned the next day and began the search. After about 45 minutes I could not search the location because there were too many young teenagers dominating this area of the beach.

I returned several weeks later with my back up diver, Rudy to double up on the search. Also a good time to have Rudy practice with my dive detector equipment .. I knew the ring was still in the location and it was not littered with metal trash.  Rudy went in first while I stood by for the second search.  Boom!  Rudy came up with the brand new gold wedding band, saving me from having to get wet.  I gave him the phone number and let him share the good news to Sam and Kayla. He also lived close enough to them to experience giving the ring to them personally.

It was a fun recovery, I just wish I could have organized the dive sooner. Dive calls take a lot of preparation. The important thing is getting the ring back to its rightful owner.

I’m available to help you now. “ Have Detector, Will Travel” .. I WILL TRY ANYWHERE.
