Van Key Lost in Palos Verdes Estates, CA…Found and Returned.

I received a call from Paul last week regarding a key to his van he had lost 4 days prior. Paul has a dog walking business, and has a trail he likes to take the dogs on. When he arrives a the location, the dogs, after having been in the van for a while need to do their business. He carries a pocket full of plastic bags in order to clean up after them, and pulls one out whenever needed. The area right at curb side where he goes is about a half acre covered in a thick mulch, and when he has to pickup after one of the dogs, he has all the others pulling on him to go on their walk, this can make for a bit of canine anarchy. When cleaning up after one of the dogs, Paul pulled out a plastic bag, while being pulled by all of the other dogs, not realizing that his key had been pulled out with the bag, and lost in the mulch. He had gone back each day for 4 days looking for and not being able to find the key. We agreed to meet at the spot while he was walking his dogs, so I could get an understanding what actually happened.

When I got to the location, I sent Paul a text to let him know I was there. He sent one back to let me know he was there as well, and would meet me soon. I began to get my equipment ready when I turned around to see a gentleman coming down the trail surrounded by at least 15 dogs; what a sight, it looked surreal. All of the dogs were working as one unit with Paul at command. I would not have expected the dogs to have behaved so well with most all of them coming from different homes. Paul showed me what had happened to cause the loss, and then had to leave so he could take the dogs to their homes. I began my search in the mulch, and covered the area, with no key. I then went back to the start point, and began a cross grid, and after a few passes, got a good signal. I looked down, and there was the key, looking back at me from the mulch. I sent a text to Paul , and we arranged to meet this week to get the key back. I was glad to get a picture that shows this man with his happy dogs, and his smile with his found key. A lot of fun!

Saturday I received a call from Christina about her friend who had just lost his wedding ring at the beach. They were searching in the sand and knew the exact area it fell into so I left my house immediately to help them.
When I arrived they had surfboards surrounding the 8’x8′ area where it was lost.I began Detecting the small area but didn’t get any signals.I said,Well it’s not here and we’ll need to expand this search area a little more. They were almost certain it was lost in that area,I could sense a little doubt of hope while they moved the Surfboards so I swung my Coil over a few feet outside of the box then got a strong signal that sounded like a Ring of (Precious Metals) BOOM..There was Dustin’s Platinum band! The smiles lit up with positive energy that circulated the beach.

This afternoon, while perusing the Lost and Found section on Craigslist, I stumbled upon a distressing post—a plea for help to find a lost Titanium wedding band at Mondo’s beach in Ventura. The story unfolded with Jared, enjoying an afternoon surf session while his wife and young daughter basked in the sun on the sandy shores. In a sudden twist of fate, as Jared’s wife rose from her spot, the ring slipped from her grasp and disappeared into the soft grains of sand beneath them.

Received a call saying that their 4 year old son through a jewelry tray out a second story window, they were able to find everything except for a platinum wedding ring, No more than 5min into searching I hit it. Love a happy ending.

Found a Great Wedding Ring Today!

I was contacted on Oct. 19th about a woman’s lost wedding ring. About a month ago Paula had been pulling weeds around her yard and was throwing them down a steep hill when she realized her wedding ring went flying with the weeds. Her husband rented a detector and then bought a cheaper detector in the hopes of locating the ring. After hours of searching he decided he needed some help. I arrived this morning around 9:00 a.m. and he showed me the location that he already had marked out with orange flags. I made my way back and forth between the flags and I believe it was my third or fourth good signal I found her ring! It came up at 12-12 on the CTX3030.

I was very happy to help this nice couple recover her ring and thanks for the great reward.

Platinum wedding band found in Erie, Colorado yard

David was out doing some yard work, back filling around a retaining wall and raking leaves, when he lost his platinum wedding bad. He rented a metal detector from a local store in an attempt to recover his ring. But like most novice detectorists, he didn’t have the necessary skills to find the ring.
David found my profile on The Ring Finders and called me for assistance. We set Thursday morning for my search. Upon my arrival David showed me around the yard and explained what he was doing that day. He then showed me the three bags of leaves that he collected the day his ring went missing. While looking over the bags he explained how used his hands to sweep the leaves into the bags.
David then left me to do my search while he ran to do some business. I grabbed my CTX and began my search starting with the bags of leaves. There were no signals in the bags of leaves so then began to search the back yard. Within a couple of minutes of starting that search my CTX gave a nice 12-15 reading and the pinpoint showed a depth of zero, I knew I had found David’s ring without even seeing it. When I parted the grass there sat David’s ring staring up at me. I placed my probe in the center of the ring, turned off my machine and waited for David to return. He was surprised and very happy to get his ring back. He wasn’t optimistic about me finding his ring due to the fact that had performed the search previously. Luckily I have the skills and tools to perform the tasks.

Lost White Gold and Diamond Ring Found in Riverview Michigan

One Too Many Dribbles….

…..Caused this nice young man to take a time out after his white gold and diamond ring came off while doing some 1 on 1 on a half court today. I answered his call and upon arriving on site he said he looked all over the place. So I set up my MXT and searched the grass areas surrounding the practice area and didn’t come up with anything. I also checked a plugged catch basin that was in proximity to no avail. So I looked around and noticed some mulch and hedges off to one side at an apartment unit. So I checked under and around with no luck. So we took a break to rethink where else could it be and it hit me to shake the tops of the hedges and as I did I looked under and in the mulch this beautiful ring was laying in plain sight right where I had checked earlier. So the ring was stuck in the hedge the whole time! lol I scooped it up and walked over and dropped it in his hand and he about lost it with excitement as he has only been married a year and thought the ring was gone. As we talked a bit he had said he was thinking about getting a detector somewhere but I told him all he needed was a professional bush shaker!

Gold pendant recovered from Thornton yard

Mayra Hernandez and her children were visiting her sister-in-law for a late summer picnic and celebration. Her son, Adrian, was playing in the yard with his cousins when his necklace that held his gold baptismal medallion broke. It wasn’t till minutes later that he noticed the necklace dangling from his neck. The family stopped their celebration and all began searching for the medallion. The yard is not large but it is beautifully take care of and very thick grass so the medallion remained hidden from view. Mayra found my profile on The Ring Finders and she called me and we arranged for me to come and do a search. After my arrival we all made our way to the back yard and they showed me where the kids were playing and described what was going on that day. A few minutes into my search after searching the primary area with no luck I expanded my search to a secondary location. When I was directly in front of the family I received a great signal on my CTX and right there hidden in the grass was Adrian’s medallion, he was pretty darn happy to get that medallion back.

White gold ring recovered from Arvada park

Tracie and here husband were playing with one of their children in a park near their home. The park had several trees that had recently dropped all of their leaves and so the couple made a large pile of leaves for the youngster to jump into. While playing, Tracie felt her white gold wedding set slip from her finger. The couple quickly began searching for the ring, but with the large pile of leaves that was over some very tall grass (5″+) their task was more than they had bargained for. Tracie called her mother to ask for some advice and her mother found my profile on The Ring Finders. Tracie called me and I quickly gathered some metal detectors and some other gear for the search, within an hour I was at the park. When I arrived they had several bags of leaves already bagged up and the area of the search raked and yet they had not found the ring. We talked about the ring, their attempt to search and I looked over the search area. I then grabbed my Teknetics Patriot, made some quick adjustments and began my search. A few minutes into my search the Patriot gave me a great signal I parted the deep lush grass and there sat Tracie’s ring. As I held up her ring Tracie placed her face into her hands and wept quite hard. It is such a GREAT feeling to return a ring to someone like her.

Carbon Tungsten ring recovered from Lakewood playground

Camden had been given a carbon tungsten ring as a grade school graduation present by his mother, Sabrina. In the first week of middle school Camden was playing football with some friends in the school’s grassy playground when his prized ring slipped off his hand, he was hear broken. Sabrina went to a local store and she rented a couple of metal detectors to help them in the search for Camden’s ring. After searching in vain for a couple of hours the two began to realize that finding a ring in a large grassy field isn’t easy. Sabrina ended up finding my profile on The Ring Finders and called me. I had time to meet her and Camden at the school so that they could show me where he was at and the extents of my future search but I didn’t have time to preform that search that night. A couple of night later I made my way to the grassy field behind the school and began my search. After a couple of hours and quite a bit of trash later I received a great signal on my CTX and there was Camden’s ring. He was quite happy to get his ring back, but now he doesn’t wear it to school.
