Received a call from Daniel yesterday afternoon asking if I could help him find his lost gold wedding band which he lost on Saturday while playing soccer with friends,  meet Daniel at the park and he showed me the location where he and his friends searched for the ring for a few hrs with no luck. After searching the area  and a couple of more area which Daniel  thought the ring could have fallen off, I backed up and thought for a minute and looked at the first original area and asking questions also by just watching Daniels body language I said to my self that the ring Has to be near by. I expanded the search area from the original spot, after 2.5 hrs searching the area  I found his Ring 30 feet from the original spot , Just goes to show if you can’t find the ring at that area expand the search area. Another happy client. Thank you Daniel for the generous Reward.

Lost Ring in Westport Connecticut Pond… Recovered on SCUBA!

  • from Stonington (Connecticut, United States)

A men’s wedding band was lost during a swim in a residential pond in Westport, CT. The gentleman was going for his very first dip on his recently acquired property. Just three strokes into the swim he felt the unsettling slip of his wedding band off his finger. Although a stunning pond, the visibility underwater was zero, and over a foot of leaf litter has been building up on the bottom since the 1970s when the pond was constructed. To further complicate things, the depth of the pond was around seven feet in some areas. Just in case the ring settled in one of the deeper areas, I decided this was going to be a SCUBA recovery. Thirty minutes into the search we located the ring and notified the owner. This ring was recovered thanks to my friend Jon and our underwater metal detection equipment.

Recovering a lost item in water deeper than head high can be dangerous due to the potential unknowns of the underwater environment. Additionally, the learning curve involved in using metal detection equipment underwater can be steep. Stay safe and limit any frustration by contacting someone with experience in both of these.

My jewelry finding service covers Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and other surrounding states.

If you have a lost ring or something of value, contact Keith Wille now.

Sentimental Ring Lost, Found and Returned on North Redington Beach

Laura and her family were down from Crystal River to enjoy some free time together and frolic in the warm gulf waters. She was out in the water about knee deep and getting ready to sit on her float. As she leaned back to sit, the float slipped away and as she threw her arms back to catch herself She felt her special Diamond ring fly off of her finger.

The whole family searched frantically but could not find the ring. One of the family members, Kathlyn, did a google search and soon found SRARC on The Ring Finders site. She called Mike Miller and they set an appointment for the next morning at 7:00 am. Mike, Stan Flack, Mark Sillence, Mike Shuler, and Ed Osmar showed up and went right to work in the area defined by Laura. After about 30 minutes Mike Shuler indicated he had the ring. As Mike walked up the beach toward Laura holding the ring out to her she burst out into tears of joy.

We were all excited for Laura as was her whole family. It was our pleasure to see the joyful smiles that broke out when the ring was returned. Nice work Mike!!!!!! This is Mike’s first return with the SRARC team and I think he was just as happy as Laura. Congratulations Mike.

Man’s Platinum Wedding band Lost in the Ocean – Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

Got a call from Eleazar A. before 7am on Friday, August 12th asking if I could help find his Platinum wedding band that he lost the day before in knee to waist deep water right around mid-tide. Unfortunately I and Jim Brouwer were on our way to NC to look for another lost ring from 6 days ago. I told Eleazar that I’d call him back when we finished that search and set up a time to meet. We finished up the first search with negative results so we headed back to North Myrtle Beach. I called Eleazar and told him we’d meet him on the beach in about an hour and a half.

Eleazar met Jim and I as we pulled into a parking spot and took us to the area him, his wife Natalie and 2 children had been sitting the day before and explained that he had been playing with the kids and boogie boarding about the mid-tide line and shortly after that he realized his ring had come off. He had made numerous observations on his location when he lost his ring which in the end was a great help. Jim took the water line and worked the incoming tide while I took the dry sand and worked my way down to the mid-tide line. Neither one of us were getting many targets which meant the beach was heavily sanded in. Jim and I made the decision to come back in the evening at low tide and left.

I showed back up about 8:30pm (an hour and twenty minutes before low tide) and started following the tide out in the area that Eleazar gave us with no luck at all. Twenty minutes or so before low tide I decided to expand my grid search south and went into the surf about knee deep. Within 20-30 steps I get a great signal on the Gold quest PI, dig a scoop and Bingo – I heard the heavy Platinum ring rattling around in the scoop and turned my head lamp on to confirm it. I walked back up to the hotel lights and took a picture of the ring and sent it with a text saying “Surprise!!”. I immediately got a text back from Eleazar saying “I’m on my way”. He shows up within seconds with his wife and 2 kids, that he just woke up, and his excitement was priceless. He was sure the ring was gone forever and I was starting to have my doubts as well. Trying to do a grid search in pitch black conditions with medium surf and an abundance of jellyfish is not an ideal way to search for anything let alone a small ring. But nonetheless his ring is back on his finger where it belongs.

Eleazar and Natalie, thank you so much for trusting me to find your precious ring and for the very generous reward. Have a very safe trip back home.

Jim

14K Man’s Wedding Band Lost in the Ocean – Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I got a call from Amanda J. on Thursday, August 11th asking for help in finding her husband’s gold wedding band. She went on to say they were on a little vacation from Greenville, SC and celebrating their 31st wedding anniversary. I was on my way back from out of town and told her I’d call her when I got close and we could meet on the beach.

I met up with Amanda and John to get the details on exactly what happened and learned John had been tossing a volleyball back and forth with their daughter Presley when he felt his ring come off. They showed me where they had been sitting and where John and Presley had been playing in the shallow water that was now completely under water with the incoming tide. Knowing that I was going to do some water searching and not having my water machine that was back in the shop for repairs, I contacted Jim Brouwer and asked if he had a water machine I could borrow. Once again Jim came through and gladly loaned me one of his many machines. While I had him on the phone I asked him if he wanted to tag along which he gladly accepted. While waiting for Jim I checked around where John and Amanda had been sitting and a little bit of the tide line with my AT Pro just to rule those areas out. Once Jim got there he gave me a quick lesson on his Gold quest PI and then we decided we’d come back in a few hours and work the outgoing tide.

Jim got back to the spot a few minutes before I did and had started working the water line up towards the dry sand. I tuned up my (new) machine, made a few practice runs with Jim’s (old) machine and started working from Jim’s first line seaward. Eight grid lines and 30 minutes later my new water machine gives me a banging signal, one scoop and up comes John’s Gold wedding band. I took a picture of me holding John’s ring and sent it with a text saying BINGO!!! Uh oh Amanda’s not calling me back. I gave her a few minutes and called her, when she answered I ask her if she had seen the text I sent. She checked her texts and I could hear her say “He found it!!!”. They were on their way back to their resort but made a U-turn and arrived back on the beach in about 5 minutes. I could tell by their faces that not only could that not believe the ring had been found but were trying hard to contain their emotions. I LOVE returning people’s special treasures!!!!

John and Amanda, Happy 31st Anniversary and may you celebrate many many more with the ring on John’s finger. Thank you so much for trusting in me to help find your treasure and for the very generous reward. Have a safe trip home.

Lost Gold Wedding Band at Honu Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

aStevenShaka
aStevenRing
This ring find started Friday 5 August when I got a broken phone call from Steven from Anchorage, Alaska. While enjoying the evening at Honu Lagoon Steven took his Gold Wedding Band off and tucked it into a pocket of his lounge chair. At the end of the day as he was going to wash off he realized that when he picked up his chair on the beach his ring must have fallen out because it wasn’t in the pocket when he got to his car. He spent time looking in the parking lot, the shower area and all points in between. It occurred to him that the ring was probably in the sand but where? He traced his path back to where he was sitting but no luck there either. He mentioned his loss to the Aloha Security Patrol and they told him to get a hold of Joe the resort detectorist. “He finds everything” they said. The call from Steven was very static and broken. I was able to get the ring type, lagoon area and that he would be back the next day. I went back the next day but Steven never showed up so I started a search without him. I found a lot of change and a few pull tabs but no ring. I decided I’d call Steven and see what happened. Maybe the ring was found. I couldn’t reach Steven at all neither text nor call. I decided to give it another try this morning and after extending my grid search out two more lines it paid off. About 30 feet down from the shower there was Stevens Gold Wedding Band two scoops down. I did notice the sand sifter truck’s tracks so it was possible the sifter moved the ring out of the area. In any case I texted Steven that I found his ring. No response! While eating my lunch at work I tried calling him again and this time before I hung up a call was being returned to me. It was Steven. He informed me the original phone we were talking on got destroyed in the water and he just picked up his new phone with the other number being forwarded. That was a relief on my mind and his. Steven couldn’t believe I found the ring and since he works on Pearl Harbor Base as I do we met at my workplace. Photo above. With a handshake Steven gratefully thanked me and a smile from ear to ear said it all. Aloha to Steven.
