I received an email about a lost gold ring in a lake. The ring is the family heirloom that has been passed down for generations. After getting the details, we setup a day and time to perform the ring search. The ring was lost in about 2 to 4 feet of cloudy lake water, which was unable to see anything. So with the trusty water metal detector, sand scoop and continuing searching, the ring was found! She was overly in joy that the ring was found. Now she can keep the tradition of passing the ring on to the next generation. I was able to bless her in prayer.

I do believe and I believe in miracles! So blessed to have had to opportunity to witness one!

On July 5th I had visited the beach and lost my gold ring in the water while catching a football. In a split second I knew the ring had slipped off my finger and I was so devastated. I spent nearly 2 hours waist deep in murky water trying to feel my foot on the seabed for a ring but no luck. People were kicking up sand and boats nearby were causing waves to pull in and out to shore.

Heartbroken I left with no hope of finding the ring. After a long prayer and a few Facebook posts later I turned to the internet and found Jon in the OH area with multitudinous ringfinders testimonies and I immediately emailed him. After an immediate response we decided to schedule the search Sunday and meet up.

The day before the search there were numerous people in the area and a storm causing the water to rise and I was so afraid the ring would’ve moved from the area that I was in. The day of the search it took Jon no longer than 45 minutes to locate my ring in the swelled waters with his underwater equipment and I was FILLED with joy and relief! It was embedded deep underneath the sand and I would have never found it on my own.

This was a ring engraved with the initials of my boyfriend and his father, which had been passed down and was a promise ring to me which I’ve had worn everyday for 2 years. It meant the world to me and I was so heartbroken to have lost it.

I am so immensely grateful for Jon and his hard work to search and find my ring. My prayer to God had been answered and He sent Jon and his wonderful father in law for that search. He prayed over me and I am forever grateful for their service!

Lost diamond gold pendant recovered in Linthicum Heights, Maryland!

I was recently contacted by a long time friend and fellow coworker from many years ago. He stated that during casual conversation he discovered that one of his coworkers (and mine from many years ago as well) lost a diamond and gold pendant while doing yard work a week or so prior. We immediately made plans to search for it the next morning.

I met with my friend Scott and my previous coworker Ying at her home and after some reacquainting and reminiscing,  I began searching for the pendant. Ying informed me exactly where she was in her yard when she felt the piece of jewelry was lost. She went on to say that it was about a week prior when the incident happened and since then she purchased a metal detector to attempt to recover it herself. Unfortunately she was unsuccessful. I informed her that many people who contact me looking for lost rings and other jewelry do that same thing. There is a learning curve that comes with detecting, not to mention that not all metal detectors are created equal. I then got to work and after about 20 minutes SUCCESS!

Ying was beside herself when I pulled the pendant from her lawn. It was a great morning! Not only did I get to catch up with my friend, but I was able to return a piece of jewelry to a coworker from years ago and bring joy to her at the same time!

Platinum and Diamond Ring Lost in the Sand at Santa Monica Beach, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

Yael called explaining that she had lost the ring her mother had given her, in the sand at the beach. She had taken it off, and put it on the blanket they laid out, but forgetting that she had put the ring on the blanket, she picked the blanket up and shook it out. At that point it was too late, the ring was gone. I let her know I would be there as soon as possible, because they were still there, and possibility of a recovery was good.

When I got to the area Yael showed me what had happened, and the possible vicinity of the lost ring. I got my detector ready, and decided to start at the outer part of the perimeter. I turned my machine on, took two swings, got the tone, put the scoop in, and within 10 seconds was able to hand Yael her ring back. It doesn’t always happen like that, but I just happened to chose the right place to start. Needless to say Yael was overjoyed to have her precious ring back again. I was so happy to have been able to be able to give back something she thought was lost forever. Really a great day!

Lost men’s wedding ring found, Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, IN

Richard and family were visiting with friends at the lake house for the 4th of July weekend. With all the heat and humidity, the lake was the place to be. Much time was spent in the 85 degree water, around the dock, on the big foam floating pad, on the raft and tossing a ball back n forth to each other in the swim area. When it was time to get out of the water, Richard noticed his gold wedding ring was missing from his finger.
I was contacted by Richard’s friend, a friend of mine familiar with the ringfinders, we discussed the details of the loss and I was on my way within an hour. They had tried looking for it visually, but the water was somewhat stirred up from all the boaters.
The loss area was essentially “anywhere” around the dock, float, raft, within a 10 yard by 20 yard area and 4 to 5 feet deep. Sand bottom, with some silt, some rocks, waves and not much visibility.
There are almost always variables that can effect outcomes and immediately upon detecting I was hearing “good” sounding shallow targets, even with sensitivity turned way down on detector. The first target was a 12 gauge shotshell brass, then a piece of propeller, an old brass swim buckle and another piece of scrap aluminum. This was literally in the first two swings of the detector, which meant it could be a very lengthy endeavor with all these targets in the search area.
I rarely rule anywhere out, so i had began the search right near where he had entered the water. I figured I’d start detecting under/around the floating foam mat to eliminate that possibility. Got a good sounding signal under there, carefully scooped it and when I looked in the scoop, there was a men’s gold ring with 3 diamonds! I was relieved to have found it within just a few minutes, the 5th target scooped.

Two Rings Recovered at Hapuna Beach, Big Island, Hawaii

I went out on a ring find to Hapuna Beach after getting a late night call the previous evening from a distressed dad.
Jim had been playing catch in the water with his new son-in-law, while his daughter relaxed and read her book in the sand. After a short while the guys started egging her on to play with so reluctantly, Whitney joined them.
After Whitney caught a throw, Jim went after her in the surf to get the ball in a good-natured tackle. She stood up to find both her new engagement and wedding rings had gone flying.
That night when we got the call, Jim said Whitney was inconsolable. They’d stayed until the beach closed, trying to see a glimmer of the diamond cluster on the engagement ring, or waving gold of her new wedding band. Unfortunately, sand swallows most rings…
They met me in the morning at the spot in the surf. To my dismay, there were two detectorists already in the water nearby. I met Jim, Whitney and her new husband and started searching right away.
I was relieved to see that the two other detectorists were friends of mine, both of whom have collaborated with me in the past to return rings. Gregg was heading my way and he offered to help. After 30 minutes, I wasn’t having any luck and was happy to have the extra set of ears and eyes trying to find Whitney’s lost rings.
Within a few minutes Gregg called me over and showed me a glinting diamond ring in his basket. Jim and Whitney came running over and hugged me, Gregg and each other! Whitney’s husband was close behind and patted us on the shoulder and shook hands. Jim shed a few tears too – I think he’d been even more upset than his daughter!
Gregg went down the beach and I continued looking for the second ring. About 20 minutes later, and not far from the first, I got a strong signal and within moments had returned the diamond-studded wedding band.
It took two of us detectorists to find the two rings – and we were glad that Whitney was reunited with her treasures! Unfortunately I didn’t get the photo of us two detectorists but nonetheless, thanks for the help Gregg! Vacation saved!

The pictured couple was enjoying the 4th of July today playing with a RED ball under WHITE cloudy skies in a pool of BLUE water with their little FIRECRACKER daughter. She’s extremely active and full of energy and was described as having the energy of a hummingbird. As they were in the pool she threw the ball out of the pool onto the grass. Mom got out and upon returning the throw her engagement ring came off. When we talked they had been using a toy type metal detector so I said I can come by and wanted to make their 4th of July a better day. When I got there, chatting with mom where the ring may have fell off the lil’ daughter was zapping around the yard just like what they said. I started a grid search and it didn’t take too long when I got “the signal” we detectorists refer to as “the one”! Pinpointing with my Garrett carrot revealed this beautiful SPARKLER showing itself to me from the dark grass, mesmerizing me momentarily with it’s beauty making me feel like I wish time could stand still a bit longer! Mom came running over and reached down and pulled the ring from the grass totally ecstatic and frantically jumping up and down. Fiancee’ followed and their energy displayed was a different kind of FIREWORKS! I thanked them and they thanked me and I wished them the best in their new journey together pursuing their American dream and keeping the American Spirit Alive!

Received a call from Mike yesterday (7/2/19) afternoon. Mike had lost his wedding band in the surf a few days ago. Needed to wait for low tide which wasn’t until 3:30 am this morning, decided to go for the early am tide as the crowds for the afternoon low were going to be heavy. Took a ride over this morning and picked the ring in a few minutes. It was reunited with its (newly wed) owner this morning. Client unavailable for photo.

4 Lost Rings In One Night! – FOUND! – Pensacola Beach

Last night was definitely a first for me. I got a call at 8:45 from Kerem telling me that his wife Kara had lost her ring on Pensacola Beach earlier in the afternoon. They are over here from Texas celebrating the week of Independence Day and this was definitely throwing a kink in the festivities. I started asking a few questions and quickly realized that this was not one ring but three separate rings and all they knew was they had been lost somewhere between the parking lot and the water. 😳I almost bowed out but I’m sentimental about wedding rings and when Kerem also explained that one of the rings was a silver and diamond band from Kara’s grandmother, I knew I had to go. An hour later I was at the beach meeting my new friends and listening as they excitedly tried to tell me where to start. I suggested that they let me ask them a few questions and moments later Kerem and I were headed down towards the water while Kara promised to follow after a quick  phone call home. Kerem had marked where they had been sitting and based on our talk, I thought that would be the best place to start. When I got to the mark I could see all the digging marks where they had been trying to find them earlier and I started to do a spiral pattern. I didn’t go five feet before I had a strong gold signal in my headphones and scooped up a small solid gold band. Kerem had turned to look at something else and didn’t see me do it in the dark so I got his attention and said, “is it ok to start with this one?” and I opened up my hand to show him the ring. Kerem absolutely freaked out and yelled “You just found my wife’s wedding band!” He literally picked me up hugging me. 😄  I quickly got back to it and didn’t even get a full swing in before I got the next signal. Kerem dropped down to his knees to watch as I unearthed a gorgeous diamond engagement ring. All that was left was the silver ring that belonged to Kara’s grandmother. I only had to make a few more passes and about 3 feet away I got another tone. In less than about 3 minutes a very happy Kerem and I were headed back to the parking lot with all 3 rings in my hand. When we got back to Kara we had a little fun with her saying we didn’t want to get started without her and she hurriedly started towards the beach. When I told her that I would save her the walk and opened my hand, the tears and the hugs started immediately. Kara put the rings on and when I told her that I still needed a picture, she took them off and immediately dropped one in the parking lot. I told them both to freeze so they wouldn’t step on it and got down on my knees with my light. I saw the little gold band underneath the car and handed it back to her. She exclaimed that she was still missing one and Kerem told her that she had all three. She quickly told us both that she had lost four and not three rings and Kerem had told me wrong. To make matters worse, it was still the Grandmother’s silver ring that was still missing and Kara promptly burst into tears again. I reassured her that I could find the spot on the beach again and we double-timed it back down to the beach. Luckily once we found the spot, it only took about another minute and I was able to hear a high tone indicating silver. I reached down and sifted through the sand and pulled out a beautiful little ring. In the light of my headlamp I could clearly see the 925 stamp for silver and Kerem and I were able to give back the fourth and final ring to Kara. Even though the actual search time wasn’t that long, I’ve never experienced the emotional roller coaster that this hunt was and I have certainly never found four different rings for someone in a night before. Kara and Kerem, y’all are awesome people and I’m so glad you gave me a call to come help. Keep those rings where they belong.  😃💍

I got a call from a distressed woman saying that she had lost her diamond and gold wedding band and requested my help. She explained that the waves hit her and knocked her down. And in the process her ring came off.  She also explained that she had to leave the following morning at 0600. So I tried to get as much information as possible. but was unsuccessful on day one and two but day 3 and talking with her for 1/2 hour or so I was finally  successful.
