Lost White Gold Ring Found In Attic In Ann Arbor Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Old News Is GOOD News!

No news is good news is the all familiar proverb many of us use day to day to reassure us that without information to the contrary we can assume all is well. This wasn’t the case tho with this nice, pictured couple after they searched for his lost ring last week while he was installing a vent on their garage roof. Just below the roof there’s an attic area for storage. He was in 3 different areas in the space moving things around on the joists to make room to install the vent plus walking back and forth to the house. We talked Thursday and agreed to meet today to search.
When I got to the garage it was indeed a tight chamber with no room for both of us. I could just barely get into the area by crawling. Armed with my dust mask, goggles, Garrett carrot and a portable light I couldn’t see directly into the floor joists where he thought it was so I probed with the pin pointer and found lots of nails. The material I was searching thru felt very light and the musty aroma upon entering the chamber reminded me of when I look thru old research materials…I thought hmmm… and as I sifted a bit more I got another signal. Thinking it was a nail I reached down and felt the shape of a ring! Getting myself over the joist with the camera revealed this gorgeous white gold ring that was covered with old newspaper insulation!
I yelled I got it, backed myself out and handed the ring with some of the newspaper to him and said, old news is good news! We both laughed, dusted ourselves off and took some pics.

24 Karat 44 gm Gold nugget found Kendall Miami Florida.

  • from North Miami Beach (Florida, United States)

I got a call to find a 24 Karat 44 gm gold nugget.  It was used in a contest  . The contest was to find the gold nugget in any of the 6  .. 1 ton  burlap bags of dirt. Unfortunately the client couldn’t find  the nugget in the 1 ton burlap bag they knew it to be in after no contestants could find it . So I went to the commercial location where the nugget was at and attempted to find it with my metal detector. but the nails in the pallet interfered and also the writing on the bags interfered. So the client had to take it to a different site so we could dump all the dirt out. once we could dump the dirt out it was found very quickly

FIRST FIND OF THE YEAR RETURNED

It was an unusual Winter day in Lake Country BC, when Naomi was out in the  backyard with her dog. On returning indoors she noticed her 14k White Gold Diamond Wedding ring was missing. She looked me up on The Ringfinders website and asked if I could help her. The day she called at 6:45 am, it was -10 degrees Celsius and she had over 2 feet of snow in her yard, I responded by noon the same day, it was still snowing heavily. She was not sure of the location in the yard, but had an idea, her husband Jason was out with a flashlight hoping to locate it, without any luck. After the hour drive to their home they showed me their yard, I was surprised at the depth of the snow but suspected that the ring would not have fallen all the way through the snow. I spent an hour gridding the yard which was difficult going, I told them that if I did not locate it I would return the next week when the snow would have melted to a lesser depth, in the worst case I would return when the snow was gone and not to worry, it would be found. After recovering my breath and warming my hands I gave the worn down pathway one last sweep when I got a good signal, success the ring was found.

Ring Lost On Siesta Key, Recovered By SRARC

Harma stepped out of her back door on Siesta Key to call her dog back inside. As dogs sometime do, it refused to come in so she went out to wave it in. She waved her hand toward the door and off flew a very precious ring into the night. Harma and her husband both searched the yard but had no luck at all. She remembered that her friend and neighbor Leslie had recently lost a ring and it was recovered by a local group called the SRARC ring finders. She contacted Howard Metts and Mike Miller responded to the callout. Mike searched for about an hour and was loosing hope but decided to change coils and research the area. In short order he got a promising hit and sure enough out came the ring. This was not just any ring, it was her grandfathers wedding band which had been passed down to her and she was just heart broken that she had lost it. If you look closely you will see the wedding date of in Holland of 14/8/15. SRARC is ever so happy to have returned this precious heirloom to Harma.

Lost Ring in Lake Wales, Florida … Found!

  • from Windermere (Florida, United States)

My husband Matt and I are extremely grateful for this team for finding such an important ring for us. When Matt said he found someone to look for his ring I was extremely skeptical. Knowing the conditions of the canal I really felt this was a wasted effort. When Jerry Burbaugh came up with a ring on his finger we were stunned!! This canal has very high boat traffic and is literally dark brown water. Gary Penta was wonderful to work with in coordinating this effort. Jerry and Jacob Penta were awesome with their knowledge and abilities! You’ve made the start to our new year a happy one!!

Thanks again!

Meghan Welsh Balliett

Against all odds my husband’s ring is now back on his finger.

In September 2019, Jim called me for my help in finding a ring on the grounds of the Cumberland Monastery.  The spinner ring held special meaning for Jim as it was a souvenir of a trip to Israel.  It was lost while playing football with family.  I located the ring in two minutes, barely time for him to drive off the grounds!  Jim was thrilled to have this special ring returned to him.

During a snow storm in December 2019, Lee lost his rose gold wedding band while playing with his Labrador retriever.  He was anxious to find his ring, so he purchased a metal detector.  After unsuccessfully searching for his ring, Lee decided to turn to someone who was experienced in the use of a metal detector.  It took about two hours for me to find the wedding band as Lee was not exactly sure where it was lost.  Lee and his wife of less than two months were very happy to have the ring returned to them.

Andy contacted me in January 2020 and asked for help in finding his platinum wedding band.  He was sure the ring was lost in his backyard a year prior while he was gardening.  He accidently planted his ring in the ground along with some bulbs and bushes.  Andy borrowed a metal detector but couldn’t locate the ring.  After searching various areas for over two hours, I found the ring about six inches in the ground, close to where he had planted a rhododendron bush.  Andy was excited to have his ring back.  His wife exclaimed, “That’s awesome!  You’re the man!”.
