Lost Wedding Ring at Vashon Island WA

  • from Mercer Island (Washington, United States)

Susan called me explaining that her husband, Rob, had recently lost his wedding ring on recent boating trip five days prior. The two of them left Point Defiance Marina and motored over to Vashon Island for an enjoyable day on the water. She explained that Rob was on the beach looking at the rocks when a small wave splashed his ring off into the silty water. Rob instantly froze and tried to stay standing over the exact spot. Unfortunately the water was silty and they had no way of searching for the ring. I am happy that Susan was able to find me.

Lost Ring in Coquitlam River…Found.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

A concerned mother called me yesterday and told me that her son lost a silver ring that was given to him by his late Uncle, the mothers brother. She said the ring was lost in the river and the current was pretty strong. These can turn out to be a very difficult search as the bottom of the river is rocky not sandy. That means the ring could bounce along with the current and travel down stream, so I started at the top where it was lost and did a test drop with a sliver ring to see if I could find that one. The first drop I could see that it settled behind a rock.

I started my search where the young man said the ring had fallen into the water but no luck. I worked my way down stream 3 or 4 times, up & down, but no luck. I asked the young man again if he could show me where he thought the ring fell into the water, he asked his friend and they were pretty sure of the location.

Because I worked that area 4 times I decided to go up stream a little and bang! about 8 yards up from the spot they said it fell in I found his ring!

Lost Wedding Ring Recovered Marymoor Park Redmond WA

  • from Mercer Island (Washington, United States)

Received a call from Leon that he lost his six month old white gold wedding band while playing Cricket in Marymoor Park, Redmond, WA.

Leon was visiting from Chicago along with some of his mates from New Zealand. They have been on a traveling Cricket tour visiting many different places. When Leon was fielding he decided to slip his wedding ring into his pocket. He said he was quite concerned that it might fall out of his pocket and indeed it did. After quite a bit of fuss searching through the grass and having no luck with a visual search he looked on line for additional help.

I am happy for him that he was able to reached out to me with a prompt call and wiling to provide a lot of detail from what he could remember of his incident.

How to find a lost ring in the sand, Spanish Banks Beach… Vancouver, BC.

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Summer is warming up and more calls are coming in…This call was from a young man who said that his friend lost a large gold ring while throwing a foot ball. These searches are usually 100% successful because they know that the ring came off while throwing the ball.

I told them to relax and I will find the ring, it was almost  a 1 1/2 hour drive to get there, so I hit the road right away.

When I arrived and met the party I was introduced to the young man who lost what I found out was his wedding band, it was a huge one by the sounds of it. As I was getting ready to do the search and after asking my typical questions, I noticed there was a lot of eyes on me!  I knew the pressure was on! But not to worry as I also knew it was a matter of time before I find the ring. I knew I would find it as sand eats up gold, but the gold can’t hide from me and my detector!

30 seconds into the search I received a great signal on my detector and BINGO! I had his huge gold ring in my scoop. I loved the reaction of everyone on the beach as they cheered for the young man!

As always… I love the Smiles!

Lost Platinum Diamond Ring at Crescent Park, Surrey…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call from a young lady a week ago explaning how she had lost her ring at a park not far from where I live. I went out to the park the next day and we met and she showed me the area and it was a pretty big area. It was a hot sunny day and

I started my grid search, after 4+ hours and no ring I decided to come back with a friend when the weather cooled down a bit in the early morning. That way I could drag a foot and see the grid lines from the dew on the ground, this helps because its such a game of inches and could be missed very easily.

Flash forward a week and I’m in the grocery store waiting to pay when the lady in front of me with three kids looks at me and says I know you, I recognized her as well, but I could not put my finger on where we met. I thought for moment and said TheRingFinders? Her son looked up and said it’s Chris! He remembered my name…Amazing!

I told her that I would go back the next morning to take another look for her ring…I got there early in the morning and there was a group of kids setting up the area to play soccer so this put me in the lower area of the field which happened to be the hot spot…20 minutes into the search I found the ring!

This is the best part of the search & recovery…The Smile!

Lost Gold Ring in West Vancouver…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I received a call from a young lady the other day asking if I could help her find a lost ring that was a gift from her mom & dad and daughter, many years ago. After asking a few questions I came to realize she wasn’t a hundred percent sure it was lost where she thought it was…in the garden.

To her it made sense because she put the rings on just before she went out for lunch then at the last second she  jumped in the garden to do a few things, she didn’t realize until later she was missing one ring. After searching the car and then searching her house she thought of renting a metal detector and that’s when she found TheRingFinders.

Why rent a metal detector when you can hire a metal detecting expert to come out and help you find your lost item…It will save you countless hours and ensure you that the ring is there or not there. I always wonder how many people have rented a metal detector and didn’t find their ring and just gave up? Its not as easy as we make it look, we know our detectors and importantly the environment we are searching and the questions that will help us get close to what we are looking for.

In this search I couldn’t use my metal detector because of the thick over growth of flowers & plants and the fact that there was wire hold the flowers up. OK bring out the handheld pin pointer and get on my hands and knees and start the slow search!

Not long after searching the first area, Bingo! I was lucky to find her beautiful ring in the second location!

14k WHITE GOLD/DIAMOND ENCRUSTED ENGAGEMENT RING LOST AT LARGE SPORTS COMPLEX Ancaster, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a Facebook message from a long time Girlfriend Tracey F’s Daughter Senna that her engagement ring was lost at a large baseball complex in Ancaster, Ontario! OMG she was devastated to say the least!!!

Senna is a Fastball star Pitcher for the Port Perry Angels and was in a tournament that day. She had taken off her engagement ring and had placed it in her jacket pocket. Seena’s Fiancé Matthew had even went out and purchased 2 metal detectors from the local Canadian Tire. They searched for 7-8 hours prior to calling me. Her baseball team, Family, Friends and Fans were also searching between games with brooms and rakes. Senna missed her last because she was so distraught!

I arrived after 7pm. I discussed with Senna, Matthew and Tracey to retrace her steps on the field area, dugout, grass and sheltered areas. I started on the infield down the first base side where she had warmed up pitching. I then moved into the dugout area. This is where Senna had her baseball bag and dropped her jacket down to warm up. I had a very low tone VDI 5 on the Minelab Equinox 800. It was 1″-2″ down. I had told Tracey a key world phrase “can you get me some water” which really meant “I FOUND THE RING”!! Then the surprise video/return…..

Here’s the video on the SURPRISE recovery & return!!

I just LOVE it when the SHRIEK & TEARS of shear disbelief & joy happens on the return!! #priceless

I was very grateful to Matthew as he donated one if the junior detectors to my upcoming ‘ Pink Power Ally Kids Treasure Hunter Club’!! He also made a Charity donation to the “Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation”!! #PAYITFORWARD

LOST SENTIMENTAL 925 SILVER RING IN BRAMPTON, ON PARK GRASS

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I received a phone call from Sam from Brampton, Ontario as he lost a very sentimental 925 silver ring recently.

Sam was walking his two dogs in a City of Brampton park. He ran with the dogs when the leashes crossed and came to a stop 40’ away! He realized he had lost his cell phone and his silver ring!

Sam luckily found his cell phone that night but not his ring. Sam then rented a metal detector which sounded like they gave him a locates machine. He then turned to YouTube to find one of my ring recovery videos but also a former member of “The Ring Finders” ‘Mark’ suggested he look up “The Ring Finders” to find a dedicated detectorist close to his location to aid in the search!

I advise Mark my fee and my “Pay-It-Forward” program that when I find his ring he is to in-turn make an on-line charity donation towards the “Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation”

We searched through the long knee deep grass with no success for 1 hour & 40 minutes. After 20 minutes I decided to switch my medium sized coil on the MINELAB Equinox 800 to the small coil! Continued to search and go over the initial search areas! No luck! I then went over the first area search  but expanded towards the path and BOOM!!!! FOUND IT!! Saw the silver and started the video…. check it out!! He’s making a DONATION!!!

https://youtu.be/

I ….NEVER…. like giving up and offered to come back throughout the week once the grass was cut!! But we had FAITH!!

NOTHING BEATS THE SHEAR EXCITEMENT & AMAZEMENT IN THE CLIENTS REACTION!!!
