Lost gold ring, Orlando, Florida….Found and returned!

Mark and his dear wife were in the middle of packing up their belongings for the big move and he could not stop thinking about the special gold ring he lost in the yard over 20 years ago. This unique ring was a gift to Mark from his late father, who hand crafted the ring from gold he collected as a dental technician. One day while washing his hands off in the yard he realized his ring must have fallen into the thick grass. Mark desperately looked around the spigot and along the short path he had taken from the garage, but could not find his lost gold ring. Years passed and Mark sort of gave up hope of ever getting his ring back and then the day came for him to sell his house and move to another location. As the moving day got closer, Mark toyed with the thought of renting a metal detector to look for his ring and that led him to one of my stories on theringfinders.com web site. Mark was intrigued with all the success stories and decided to give me a call. We made arrangements for Friday and I showed up ready for the challenge. Mark showed me the small area where he thought the ring was lost and I fired up my Garrett ATMax, set it to ZERO mode, ground balanced and put on just a little iron discrimination. (Mark was not real sure of the gold content of the ring and I did not want to miss being able to detect it.) I looked around the water spigot and gradually made my way out into the super thick St. Augustine grass! I dug a couple of pennies down four inches or so and 10 minutes into my search I got a solid signal that showed “50” on the display. Mark had watched me carefully dig the pennies with my 10 inch pointed screw driver and on this target he was ready with his shovel, assuring me he could pop out a nice big plug in no time. What could I say, it was his lawn! As I laid the big plug on it’s side I poked my trusty Garrett pro pointer into the dirt and it sounded off a good 8 inches down in the hole. And as I brushed the dirt from the target, a glint of gold showed itself and low and behold there was Mark’s long lost ring!! You talk about one happy camper! He gave me a big hug and then ran into the house to show his wife the ring and then he ran to the neighbors house to show them. What a thrill it was to dig up Mark’s ring and to see the sheer joy and happiness on his face. Maybe you have lost a ring and want me to try and find it for you! I would be honored to help! Call ASAP!

Lost engagement and wedding rings in yard, St. Augustine, Fl…..Found!

Mrs. Connie called me Friday afternoon from St. Augustine with a very special request. Apparently on Wednesday Mrs. Connie had walked down their driveway to check the mail box and as she was walking back to the house she spotted some weeds and palm debris in one of her flower beds. She carefully set her mail and glasses on the edge of the concrete and proceeded to pull the weeds and pick up the debris. Then she said she walked over to the fence and with her left hand she threw the sticks and weeds. And as she swung her arm in a side ways motion, she felt her rings come off of her finger. (Usually when ever Mrs. Connie would do any type of yard work she would leave her rings inside the house but not this time!) Mr. Bill, Mrs. Connie’s husband, had this ring made special for their wedding and the rather large diamond was from his late mother’s wedding ring, so you can imagine the pain they felt in not being able to find the lost rings!
The next day they purchased a small metal detector from a local store and tried their best to locate the rings…but they turned up empty handed. Their search for help led them to theringfinders.com and a member in the St. Augustine area. That member was not able to help them so Mr. Bill clicked on one of my stories and they decided to give me a call—and thankfully they did.
After meeting this very special couple and getting more specific details on how and where the rings were lost, I started my search. Mr. Bill had cut down the thick brush and grass and I was confident the rings were there, but my first pass of the target area turned up zip, zilch, nada! Again I figured I needed to expand the search area and sure enough I got a nice platinum signal, 20 feet from where she tossed the debris. There hidden in the long grass was Mrs. Connie’s lost diamond engagement ring! And then no more than four feet away was her wedding ring, just waiting to be found. What an honor it was to help such a lovely couple and to see the huge smiles on their faces. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to help you and thank you for your generous reward! God Bless you both! Mike McInroe—grateful to be a member of theringfinders.com

Found lost Wedding Ring East Spokane

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

The weeds were at it again. This time a hard working gardener was trying to be wise while tending to her garden beds and took off her rings. After placing them in her pants pocket the inevitable had begun. She remembered taking  her fit bit out of her pocket but not the rings. So the next morning when she saw that her rings were not on, she looked in her pants but only found her engagement ring. Two days of searching went by with no sign of the ring. She even rented a metal detector and tried looking for the ring, with no instructions  from the rental company.  Then on Google with a few key phrases Diane found me through my Craigslist post. I showed up that Sunday afternoon with a confidence that her back yard was hiding something from her. I swung over the area where she took out her fit bit without finding the ring, so I decided to grid the whole back yard. It took two grid lines to get me near the ring. Then my V3i detector screamed at me. I looked down in the grass as I pinpointed and saw the golden rim of her ring. It is so much fun to be out there trying to find lost items. This was the first ring find of the summer for me and I’m glad Diane has her 32 year old wedding ring back on her hand.

Lost/Found Gold Mens Wedding Band In Middletown, Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 12/27/15, I was contacted by a gentleman who had lost his gold wedding band in his backyard while playing football with his children. I was told that he did not see or feel the ring come off of his finger. The gentleman stated that he felt that the ring had to be somewhere in the grass in his backyard because he had the ring on his finger before playing football and that he found the ring missing  after the game had ended. The gentleman stated that this was the first time he had lost the ring in 13+ years and wanted to know if I could help him find the ring. I told him that I would help him and asked that he mark the area that he was playing football in. I told him that I would respond to his residence on 12/29/15 to look for his ring. Upon arriving at the residence on 12/29/15, I found the area marked as I had requested and I began the search. During the first few feet of the search there were several high tones that I did not attempt to recover as they indicated possible coins and they were buried in the ground. After a few feet past the possible coins I received a mid tone which was an indication of the treasure that I was looking for. As I brushed back the grass the gold ring revealed itself and it was reunited with its rightful owner.

Lost Diamond Ring in yard, Port Orange, Florida….Found!

Thousands of people across this great land drop things every day in their yards!   Some of those things are found and many are never recovered.  People often move to another house, sometimes across town and other times to another state.  And yet those lost items remain hidden in the ground waiting for someone else to find them.

Nancy had lost a very special ring in her front yard months earlier and now was in the process of moving out.  The very thought of never seeing her precious family heirloom again drove her to search for someone who could help her find this unique platinum and diamond ring that was handed down from her great grand mother.

As I listened to Nancy’s story I figured the ring should be fairly easy to find, so we set up a time to meet and do a thorough search.  Nancy showed me the area of the yard where the ring was lost and as soon as I started searching my detector began giving off all sorts of noise.  I tried two other search modes and still there was lots of static and interferrence of some kind.  I finally switched to the Prospecting mode and in 5 minutes I got a sweet low signal and there 3 inches under the grass was Nancy’s beautiful ring!

Do you know where you have lost something a long time ago or maybe even recently?   I am here to help!

E-mail me or give me a call!

Metal Detecting for a Lost Gold Wedding Band in Granville Island, Vancouver

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call 1 month ago in regards to a lost ring but I couldn’t help the young lady due to my wife and I just arrived in Florida for the month. I sent her the contact number of a member not far from me and he took a look for it but didn’t find the ring.

It’s a game of inches and the ring can easily be missed if you don’t think outside the box…You have to ask a lot of questions and then the detective work starts…You rarely find the lost item where the person thinks it will be…Because I passed the call over to another member I just did a follow up and offered my service to make sure the ring wasn’t missed and the young lady agreed to let me come out and do a search. I have close to 40 years of experience and thought it couldn’t hurt to take a look…She told me that she was having a jeweller make another one for her but she sure would love to have the original back as it was the one that had the sentimental value attached to it…

After showing me the area that the ring was lost in Jody went home to put her son down for a nap. It was only a minute after she left for home that I had found her ring…Talk about luck! Some searches you seem to walk right to the lost item…

The Smile is why I love my job! Thanks for reading my blog and Happy Holidays!
