Lost Wedding Ring in Back Yard Northridge, CA…Found.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

P1020628P1020627

I received a call from Christian yesterday in the evening after he and his wife had searched for his wedding ring, lost in their back yard. I arranged to meet him today, knowing the ring was not going anywhere, being that it was his yard, which took away the immediacy of the search. Christian had been in the yard with his children, and their newly acquired rescue dog. The dog had a habit of jumping up on people, and while they were in the yard he began to jump on his children. Christian then tried to get the very powerful dog to stop. He put his hand down to push him away from his children, and the dog moved in such a way that his movement caused Christian’s ring to pop off of his hand and into the grass. He saw the direction of where the ring landed, and they searched. The problem was that there was a good thatch in the grass which made it thick, and it swallowed the ring as soon as it hit. I got to the site, and got to searching. It took a couple of passes beginning a grid to insure that the whole area would be covered, and the ring was found very close to where Christian had thought it would be. He had told me how he and his wife had gotten very emotional over the ring’s loss, so it was a great pleasure to see his joy returned when I handed his ring back to him. When I watched Christian put his ring back on, I wondered how this encounter with his dog could have made this possible, because it seemed to be very tight on his finger. I then got to meet the culprit in this loss, a sixty pound, solid muscled pit bull terrier with a sweet disposition and a lot of energy, and was glad I did not wear my ring when I pet him. I am glad to have been able to sweeten this family’s Christmas this year.

Charm Lost in Manhattan Beach, CA…Found.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I received a call from Ben this evening about a charm his girlfriend had lost at the beach this last Sunday. I knew that because three days had passed, I would have to get on this one immediately. Fortunately we had some storms this last week, which kept people off of the beach, and also kept the beach cleaning equipment from working the beach. Because of these factors I figured we had a fair chance of finding the charm. Ben and his girlfriend had been on the beach between the volleyball courts, tossing a football around, and scrimmaging for fun. It wasn’t until after all the fun, that the charm was found missing. I got to beach, and met Ben, he showed me the area, and I got started. It took about 15 to 20 minutes until I heard a good sound in my headphones. I had already found a quarter, and a dime, but this time when I pulled out my scoop, I told Ben, I think I found what you are looking for. This charm means a lot to Ben’s girlfriend, so he knew she would be happy to have it back. I could see that Ben was very happy to be a part of finding it for her. More smiles today.

Lost Ear-Ring Texas City, Texas (Recovered)

  • from Sugar Land (Texas, United States)

I was contacted by Tony regarding his daughters lost 1/2 kt. diamond earring. Tony said the diamond earring had belonged to his wives grandmother and finding the missing one was imperative.

Tony said his family had been at his fathers house (Tony Jr.) in Texas City playing volleyball in his backyard. Aviana had gotten to close to the net, and the net pulled the earring from her ear. Tony said, Aviana stopped immediately after feeling the earring being pulled from her ear. Tony said the entire family searched for the earring in the grass, but they were unsuccessful.

Arrangement were made to meet (Tony Jr.-Dad) at his residence on Saturday afternoon to search for the lost earring.

12-13-2014

Arrived Saturday afternoon and met (Tony Jr.) at his residence in Texas City. Tony gave me a walk through of where they believed the earring had fallen after being pulled from Aviana’s ear. I noticed several fresh dug plugs (holes) in the ground. Tony said his son had borrowed a metal detector from a neighbor in an effort to find the earring.

Prior to the good news, Aviana and her mother Courtney arrived and were able to witness the recovery of the lost earring.

Mother’s wedding band lost, found and returned

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

A very overcast day turned into liquid sunshine when I found Frances’ lost ring. The ring had been her mother’s and Frances was devastated when it went missing from her finger while feeding birds at the woods’ edge.

When I arrived Frances and her boyfriend had marked the area with ribbons and had been searching for hours with a rented metal detector. Their unsuccessful searching had them searching for more help. They found The Ring Finders and sent an e-mail. Within 4 hours I was at the site and with a helpful explanation of where and how the loss happened I started a search.

The edge of the woods was grassy and sloped downhill. The ground cover beyond the tree line was very low shrub growth. I really hoped the ring was not in the shrubs as I thought I would not be able to swing the detector close enough to the ground to hear a signal if I passed over the ring. I tried putting my ring on the ground under the shrubs and I could hear the ring’s presence. My hopes heightened.

I decided to search from the edge inward. On my second pass and still in the grassy area I got a signal and under a leaf was the ring.

Needless to say Frances was overwhelmed and very thankful for my help. I was very pleased that the hunt had gone so well and was over quickly as the day’s drizzle turned in more harder rain.

The picture say it all, and with a smile to boot.

Received a call from Kylie at lunch time today, she had lost her truck keys in one of her client’s back yard. I meet up with Kylie at her client’s home @ 2:30 pm she showed me where in the back yard she thought they could have dropped out of her pocket, after about 10 minutes of searching in the snow with no luck, she then showed me another spot that they could be she told me that she was walking up the sidewalk and slipped on the ice but did not realize that the keys was missing until she got back to her truck and could not unlock the door, you could see where she had been looking in the snow for them after doing some detective work I realized the keys had to be in the middle of the front yard and bingo found the keys next to her foot print in about six inches of snow. Another Happy client thank you Kylie!

Twice Lucky, Wedding Ring found in Kelowna.

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)
Contact:

January 2013,  Paul called me to assist with his lost wedding ring on his hobby farm, we were successful in recovering the ring. Today November 2014, Paul called me again to say that he had once again lost his wedding ring again while working in the Orchard and his wife was not impressed. He was raking the leaves and driving his tractor with his gloves on, he removed his gloves at four locations when he noticed the ring was missing. I detected the four locations where he thought it would be with no success, I told him I would grid the whole farm until I found it. After a couple of hours the ring was located by an apple tree in the Orchard. Another marriage saved, I told Paul I would book him in for next year.

Another Happy Ending in Pinellas County

Danielle  called at 9:00 am on the 17th of November asking for help finding a wedding band belonging to her brother, Chad. He had lost it off the seawall behind his home on Saturday, November 15th and was upset thinking that it would never be found. Danielle found the Ringfinders and called Tom Jones and asked if they could help in any way.

A large storm with a cold front following was coming in off the Gulf of Mexico that afternoon. With this in mind Tom headed out to the beach and met Danielle. After 45minutes of hunting through oyster shell and various metal targets, Tom found the ring and returned it to Danielle. Her brother Chad did not have any idea that she had found us and that we had found the ring.

She said that he was going to be so surprised when he got home and got his ring back.
