Wedding ring recovered in Huntington Beach by The Ring Finders

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

I received a call from Chanel to see if I could help her find her wedding ring. She had been at dog beach when she realized her ring was slipping off her finger so she took it off and put it on top of her backpack. Soon after a dog was digging in the sand and threw sand on top of her backpack, forgetting about her ring she picked up the backpack to shake off the sand and her ring disappeared.

Chanel met me at the beach and we walked to the area where she had been the day before. I started searching and right away I got several signals, a dog tag, 2 toy monster trucks and a dime. The next signal sounded really good and when I scooped up some sand I saw her ring in the hole. I called her over to look in the hole and she reached in and grabbed it with a big smile on her face.

Thanks for calling The Ring Finders

Family Heirloom Ring Recovered – Huntington Beach, CA

Alejandro told me his Cousin was boogie boarding when he hit the sand and broke his nose. During this mishap his gold and ruby ring which was his late Grandfathers fell off into the surf. I said I would go first thing in the morning during low tide to search for this family heirloom. My intuition paid off and I found the ring after a two hour hunt right when the tide was at its lowest point.

The loss happened on July 5th and I recovered it on July 7th. This is a popular beach for detectorists and we were lucky it was not found during this busy July 4th weekend.

iPhone with credit card recovered in Huntington Beach

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

I received a call from Shelly who told me her Daughter lost her iPhone near the fire pits the night before. She asked me how much it would cost and I told her it was no cost for me to search, she thought that was great. I could tell she wasn’t to happy with her Daughter as this was a brand new phone and her credit card was inside the case.

I told her I would start the search before they arrived since her Daughter knew which fire pits she was at. The area had over a dozen fire pits in the area so I picked one and started my search. I had scanned my iPhone before I started to get an idea of the signal I was looking for. On the fourth fire pit I got a signal that sounded like the one I was looking for, with my foot I moved the sand around and out popped her phone, I left my scoop in my truck so I wouldn’t damage the phone.

I called them to give the good news and her Daughter answered and couldn’t believe  I found it. They quickly arrived but Mom didn’t pull into the parking lot and sent her Daughter walking in to pick up the phone so I didn’t ask for a photo op.

Wedding ring lost while body surfing in Huntington Beach

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

I made contact with Amy after I heard that her husband John had lost his ring while body surfing. I met them at the beach around 8pm so John could show me the location. Unfortunately the tide was at it’s high for the day and I could not find it. I told them I would search again when the tide is lower. The next day during the afternoon low tide I was able to locate the ring with my brand new metal detector in about 15 minutes. It was exactly in the area where John said he lost it.

I called Amy with the good news and she came to the beach to pick up the ring. Amy said she was going to wait until John got home to surprise him with the ring.

If you ever need help finding your ring, please don’t post the location of the loss.

Lost wedding ring found under stove in Huntington Beach home

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

Mary called me and asked if I could help her find her wedding/engagement ring in her house. She said she had been shopping at three different stores prior to noticing her ring was missing. This was her last resort, because her ring could be anywhere at this point. I started by searching both cars in the driveway with no luck, I continued into the house searching her sofas and looking under her furniture and in drawers. I was crawling on my hands and knees with a powerful flashlight when I decided it was time to search the kitchen. When I looked under the stove I saw this beautiful ring with the center stone facing me about 4 inches back.

This was my first inside house search and it was challenging and intimidating at the same time. There are so many places to search inside a home and not even knowing if this is where it was lost. Returning sentimental rings to wonderful people will never get old.

Sentimental Ring Recovered Huntington Beach , CA

I was metal detecting with my brand new detector for the very first time, looking for some treasure. I found a 1958 Wheat Penny and soon after I was approached by Karen who asked if I could help find her lost ring. I explained to her that I belong to The Ring Finders and would be glad to help her. She told me she was visiting from Mexico and her Mother had given her the Ring. We walked to the area where the Ring went missing and I began my search. My confidence was high even though I was using a new detector because she seemed very sure where she had lost it. I found her Ring in about 10 minutes, Karen was very happy to have the Ring her Mother gave her back in her possession.

Ring recovery in Sunset Beach

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

A long time friend of mine called me to say her Mom lost a ring when they took her to visit the beach. She knew exactly where they walked to look at the ocean. It was starting to get dark so I grabbed my headlamp and was on my way. The city builds a large berm in the winter to keep the high tides from flooding the homes. My friend mentioned her Mom had slid down the berm to get to the bottom easier.

I started detecting at the entrance and worked my way towards the berm, no ring yet. I started scanning the side of the berm as I worked my way up to the top and thats when I got a good signal and found her ring. It’s just costume jewelry but her Mom was sad that she lost it and I was glad to help. It’s not the value, but the thrill of the hunt that gets me excited.    11/21/2017

Wedding Ring recovered on So Cal Beach

  • from Sunset Beach (California, United States)

Linda contacted me that she had lost her husbands wedding ring while swimming in the ocean at Huntington Beach. I went to the location after work, even though low tide wasn’t until 10:30 at night. I detected the wet sand down to the water for about 30 minutes, thats when they showed up and I asked them where they were sitting in the dry sand. I started a grid search and three targets later I had his ring in my scoop, not more then 10 minutes is all it took in the dry sand. She gave him this ring 18 years ago and they thought they would never see it again.

The rings are not always where they think they lost them. I was so happy I could return this beautiful ring back to such a wonderful couple.

Gold Wedding Ring found at Bolsa Chica State Beach

I received a call around 7:15 tonight from Daniele that he lost his ring at the beach. It would be dark in about an hour so I hurried to meet him there. He had a good idea of where he had lost it. He had taken his ring off his ring finger and placed it on his pinky finger while at his car. He was carrying a bag as he walked to the sand when the ring slipped off. Daniele was searching for the ring when someone at the next fire pit over recommended he call The Ring Finders. After a 45 minute grid search I was able to find his ring. During the search I also found a 14k gold earring.

Wedding Ring Found in Huntington Beach

On August 9, 2016 Amy had posted that she had lost her wedding ring three days prior on a Facebook Community Forum I belong too. I immediately reached out to her and told her I could help her find the ring. She told me the diamonds were her Husbands Grandmothers and they had them set into a new custom made ring. We arranged to meet at the beach where she removed the ring to apply sunscreen. Luckily she had a good recollection of the area they were sitting. After about 30 minutes of grid searching I found her sentimental ring. Amy was so thankful, she contacted me the next weekend and invited me out for dinner with her family.
