LOST WEDDING RING_FOUND IN WATER_ALA MOANA BEACH

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

On Monday January 8th I get a call from a worried yet hopeful Wife named Kate and she explains to me that her husband Ted was in the ocean at Ala Moana beach swimming around in 6 feet deep water when He lost his Damascus steel with 14K wedding ring. I advised Her to rest assure I will be on my way and to let Ted know that it will take me around 30 minutes. While I was packing up my gear and on the phone I started to gather as much information from Kate as i could so I would be able to narrow the beach search area. Once I got the info I  needed I let Kate know…Help is on the way.

Arrived to Ala Moana beach and met up with the couple. Ted marked out the place where he believes he lost it and I started the search. After a few minutes of searching the LOST ring FOUND its way back home! I asked ted ” is the ring stainless steel and White Gold?…Does it look like this?” And the moment they seen the ring I saw relief all over their faces. Ted and Kate was very thankful and the comfort of hearing OH MY GOD…YOU FOUND IT! let me know that this is MORE THAN A RING to them…ITS A COMMITMENT OF EVERLASTING LOVE and for me to be apart of reuniting their ring WAS MY PLEASURE. Another happy family and it’s always good to hear GOOD NEWS!!! “Inside Scoops-Kate&Ted”. Well Congratulations and have a wonderful time enjoying the Ohana… Time flys so enjoy every moment!!! Business Trip to Hawaii Before Christmas, LOST WEDDING RING, SAVED by the TONE! GOTT’UM

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

On November 28th 2017 Steve just flew into Hawaii on a business trip. While here on island he decided to head to the beach and take a swim. He noticed a few kids playing football in the water and decided to join them. After some time playing he looked down and realized, NO WEDDING RING. It fell off and he started to look everywhere. The kids that were playing also stopped and put on their swimming goggles to help find his platinum wedding ring. After hours of looking they came up short. Steve was contemplating as to how he would  tell his wife that while on a business trip in Hawaii “I lost my wedding ring”!  Well, thanks to a friend of mine on the beach who noticed the commotion, he went over to Steve and asked if everything is ok.  Steve said “NO, I LOST MY WEDDING RING AND DON’T KNOW WHERE IT IS IN THE WATER”. That’s when I got the phone call. I was able to confirm with Steve that I would help him find his wedding ring and would be there in 30 minutes. I packed up the gear and my family as we were on our way to pick up our Christmas tree that evening. I arrived to the beach and noticed Steve walking waist deep in the ocean and still frantically looking. As I got closer, he looked up to me and yelled “KAI”? I responded ” I’m Ready” and started to gear up as my wife and son played on the beach. It was later in the evening and the sun was setting. After 40 minutes I finally GOT THAT TONE! I looked up to Steve who’s eye was full of depression and a lost of hope and he says “Whats this in the scoop?” At that time I heard a loud “HE FOUND IT”! I got the biggest hugs of ALOHA. In the scoop was Steve’s Platinum wedding ring. My Family and I were excited to see his joy and gratitude all over his face. Steve was very grateful that he thanked me so many times and I had to return with IT’S MY PLEASURE… Thank you Steve for believing in me and we both will have a very Merry Christmas.

Men’s Wedding Band Missing for 4 Years in the Barn Hay~Caledon, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

So Farmer Jim & Karen McA knew I was a metal Detectorist and happen to mention that Jim’s Nephew Warren K of Orangeville was working bailing hay in the McArther Farm and lost his beloved wedding band. I was totally down for detecting in an old barn….like finding a freakin’ needle in a haystack full of century old iron nails and other goodies….

WOWZA, what a challenge for my Ring Find #2. Middle of December I went out on 2 occasions and at the 3rd occasions I decided to call Warren to get the deeds from the hay bailer himself. I decided to proceeded up a rickety wood ladder to get up where the hay was drying up top. No one was around until Uncle Jim showed up with a ‘specialty’ tea (hint hint). I called down “give me a few minutes”. Soon after I said that my detector went off BEEP BEEP BEEP…in the 12-13 range….and I was praying that this was it!! Oh boy was I praying to the Detecting Gods!!

I decided to get the iPhone video rolling ….just in case! And WHAM…there was Warren’s 14k platinum wedding band that had been missing for 4 YEARS!!! Uncle Jim couldn’t believe it…he thought I was joking!! I handed down my detecting and down the crazy ladder and showed him the ring. He was so shocked that after 4 years it had been found. I then said….lets surprise him. Here’s the video https://youtu.be/_-ou5RfVg2Y

Aunt Karen & I came up with a crazy idea to wrap the ring in hay….but inside 4 other gifts wrapped inside each other with a note for each opening. So the gift was dropped off at Warren’s Mom Debbie’s home. Karen told her that someone dropped it off at her house to give to Warren and a video was to be taken when he opened the gift at Christmas. Well Christmas came and went without Mom & Son connecting …..

Finally a message was sent in January to get his butt over to his Mom’s home and open a gift (LOL). Sure enough, Warren opened each and every gift till the last won! To his surprise and everyone else’s watching his beloved wedding ring was back home. Apparently he didn’t tell any of the Family that he lost his ring at the farm over 4 years ago….OPSEY!!!

What an awesome but very difficult ring find. Very proud to be given the opportunity in this crazy ‘needle in a haystack’ condition. BUT I TOTALLY LOVED IT!!!

(PS. Thank Goodness for Jim’s specialty tea to warm up a cold lass on this adventure *wink)

Thought lost engagement ring in field while taking Family Photos~Caledon, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a phone call late in the afternoon from Jarom & Hannah H of Brampton, Ontario.

Church Friends & Friends of recent ring finder client Boris T again recommended me to assist in helping find a lost engagement ring.

The Family had gathered to have Family photographs taken in a beautiful field/pond setting in Caledon, Ontario. Hannah discovered she had lost her engagement ring and was unsure where it came off. I met Jarom at the location and we retraced their steps from the car, down the road where they had walked to the field, the ditch and a large area of the field. NO LUCK. …..2nd attempt, again NO LUCK.

I advised that I could pop over to their home in Brampton after work.

I was very happy to receive a message the THE FING WAS FOUND at home….in the laundry basket!!!

Wonderful news!! One very happy wife….and husband 🙂

Sometimes we don’t always find it….because it isn’t there. GREAT ENDING and a very lovely couple and Daughter xo

Lost precious wedding band during Charity Foam Run Clairville Conservation Area~Brampton, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

I have great Friends who notified me that they had sent my ring finder information to a fellow Church member.

Boris T of Mississauga had recently lost weight and decided to participate in a 5km Charity FOAM run at Claireville Conservation Area in Brampton, Ontario.

Met Boris at the location immediately after work. He was AMAZING!! He had spoken to Friends that video taped his participation in the event. They narrowed down the location to the one FOAMED up obstacle. He had is beautiful wedding bank going into, up, over and when he came out…..his precious wedding band was GONE. Boris continued on to finish the race with a very sad heart. His 10th wedding Anniversary was coming up soon…..

I was a bit embarrassed that I had left my Minelab Excalibur2 detector on…the battery was dead. Thank goodness I had a back-up…the newly acquired Garrett AT Pro which I had only played around with. UNDER TWO MINUTES…..I FOUND HIS RING!!! I was amazing…..Boris was overcome with happiness. He was truly so grateful and happy.

Here is a link to the actual ring find https://youtu.be/nZmWX_JIqLA

Lost silver ring in snow… ‘Miracle on Water St” Guelph, Ontario

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a phone call inquiring if I can metal detect in snow for a lost ring. Of course I said yes. I was unable to make the time frame and sent a local & newly recruited ring finder member Glenn Boles.

I arrived an hour later and offered my assistance.

The client had just left. With-in 10 minutes of her leaving I located her Friend’s missing silver ring. Glenn & I called and asked if she could come back. She offered to bring coffee’s too.

We recreated the motions of finding her Friend’s lost ring. She was overjoyed and advised she will surprise her Friend Christmas Day. The ring was very sentimental.

Lost Ring Pensacola Beach – FOUND!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

This was a neat story.  A nice lady on the beach at the Portofino Condos in Pensacola Beach stopped me and said that she wished I had been there a couple of days earlier.  I asked her why and she proceeded to explain that BOTH of her sons had lost their wedding bands in the gulf within minutes of each other just a couple of days before.  I asked her if anyone had looked for them and she said no one had with a metal detector.  I explained about Ringfinders and told her what I did and told her that even though I really wished she had called me a few days earlier, there was still a chance I could find them.  Well, long story short I was able to find her son Jacob’s but not his brother Zach’s.  I spent hours looking for Zach’s and even came back two more days to look but unfortunately I was only able to find Jacob’s.  I had to mail it back to Memphis, TN but as you can see by the picture, Jacob was thrilled when he realized it was really his ring in the mail.  Zach had some closure and appreciated me looking and has promised to call immediately if he ever loses something valuable again.  Congrats Jacob on getting your ring back!

Lost Ring Orange Beach – Found!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Today was a great day!  I was on the way to pick up my son when Josh from North Alabama called.  Josh was frantic because he had lost his wedding band in the gulf a few hours earlier while throwing football with a family member.  His wife said not to bother even calling because they were in waist deep water and she thought it was a lost cause.  Josh looked up Ringfinders and got my number and decided to take a chance.  I am so glad he did!  The best part of today was that my son got to go and see what I do for people.  When I finally found it, I let my son hand it to Josh and my boy has not stopped talking about “how happy they were”.  Now he completely understands why I like finding things for people they thought were lost forever.  So Nice to meet you and your family Josh.  I am so glad I was able to find your wedding ring.

Lost Wedding Ring… Found in Lone Tree Iowa

Contact:

I was contacted by the husband of a lady who lost her ring after mowing her yard. She was dumping the grass clippings from here bagger and got caught in the rain. He said she was shaking her hands trying to get the grass and water off and her ring came off too.

He said a friend of his had some cheap metal detectors and they were going to search for it but wondered if I would be available if they didn’t find it. I said yes I was on vacation all week after the 4th of July. So I got the call that they didn’t find it. I went yesterday on the 6th and was able to find it.

Here is what his wife wrote me along with her picture for the book of smiles.

Hi Norm, This is Molly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for finding my ring. You have no idea how much relief it brought me. I am beyond thrilled and very impressed I have to say after searching that area many times on our hands and knees, as well as going over it with 2 metal detectors. I had little faith that you would find anything.  You have a gift, and we hope you are blessed ten fold.

Thanks Molly and Joe for trusting me to find your ring and the nice reward.

Lose something? A Ring Finder May Be Able To Help.

  • from Webster Springs (West Virginia, United States)

imageMost people who lose their rings will do most anything to get them back; including going and buying a metal detector. I am not trying to discourage anyone from doing this because metal detecting is a great hobby. However, many of the ring finders on this site are willing to find your rings for free. They will more than likely have a lot more success at finding the ring than someone who is new to the hobby. There is a lot of work involved in learning to use a detector correctly. No mater what your experience level, I recommend using any new metal detector for at least forty hours before you can use it with confidence and proficiency. Another thing to realize is that it takes a lot of patience to find rings, and I mean a lot of patience. It has been said that to find a ring you will have to dig up at least one hundred pull tabs, but sometimes it’s more like a thousand. This is another reason you should defiantly take advantage or these friendly strangers at Ring Finders who are willing to do this work for you at little to no cost. For anyone still interested in starting a new hobby call up a Ring Finder they are knowledgeable about equipment and can get you pointed in the right direction and help you get started.
