Lost Wedding Band Found Sea Isle City New Jersey

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

I received a call early in the afternoon, from Jason who had lost his wedding band in the sand in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. Jason said he had lost his wedding band while putting on sunscreen and it had flown off over his left shoulder.  After searching the sand around where they were sitting the ring was unable to be found.  With a quick internet search looking for a Ring Finder they found me and gave a call.  I was only 20 minutes away and within minutes of the speedy search where they were sitting the ring was found and returned! Jason was so excited that the ring was returned and that they could enjoy the rest of the weekend at the Jersey Shore!

June 2022 Josh called asking for support in retrieving his dropped wedding band. He was having a meal with his family and friends at Duke’s Seafood. They were sitting outside on patio enjoying the view when his wedding band slipped off his finger rolled down his leg and fell through the cracks of the deck. It then plunked into the sea water below.

After our initial phone conversation Josh was able to visit the restaurant and make some small marks on the patio. This allowed me to come in days later to work the mission while he was busy at work. This is something I often arrange as everyone keeps very busy these days. We tend to find a way to get all the necessary information to enable us to realize a recovery.

Having the exact spot marked and documented afforded me a lot of saved time during the dive search. Good information and intel often lead to best results. We appreciate Josh for reaching out for assistance ands willingness in dropping by the site to do this extra step. Ultimately it resulted in an efficient recovery and him getting his precious wedding band back from the sea!

Jack called asking if I could help with the search of his lost wedding ring. I asked how the loss happened, and he explained that he had been gardening, and when he finished his ring was missing. We arranged a time for me to come to his place, and I was on my way.

When I got to the yard Jack showed me where he had been weeding and planting. I set up for the search, but there was a lot of metal all around the search area, so after trying with the detector, I had to resort to my pin pointer with lowered sensitivity. I slowly went around everything there, and was unable to find his ring. We then decided to pull the plants he had planted, and dig out the holes putting the dirt into piles away from the metal. On the second hole there was a clod of dirt that sounded off when the pin pointer got close. I reached over, broke the clod up, and there was his ring. I held it up to show Jack, and then there was the smile, he just couldn’t believe it, but was so happy to see it again.

I received a text from Vanessa telling me she had lost her ring in the sand at the beach. We sent texts back and forth with me asking questions about the loss. after a few responses I let her know that I would leave immediately to come and help her.

I got to the beach about an hour later, and found her because of the color of the beach chairs she told me to look for (green). Vanessa was with her husband of only a few months James, and I could see the area they had been searching. I then asked her to show where she had been standing, and exactly what she had done to lose her ring. There had been a bit of volley ball between the two of them, and when hitting the ball the ring flew off, and was gone. I began my search, and after taking a few steps I received a good signal, dug, and had a gold cross in my scoop. Well I knew I was looking for a ring, and knew I wasn’t done, but held up the cross, and said it isn’t a ring. Vanessa looked at me with a questioning look, and told me that was a cross her father had given her, but had no idea it had fallen in the sand as well. I continued my search for the ring, covering all of the area in question without a recovery. I let them know I was going to do a cross grid to insure a complete search. As I was searching I got a signal where I didn’t get one before, put the scoop in, and there was her beautiful diamond wedding ring. I figured the ring must have been on edge, and turned in such a way as to not be found when searching in the first direction. Having an experienced person with a detector is very important, and The Ring Finders has hundreds to chose from all over the world. I was happy to have been a help to Vanessa and James, newlyweds.

How to find a lost ring in the river…

I received a call from a stressed out young man who lost a very special ring that was gifted to him by his girlfriend, he asked if I could come right away to help, but after asking a few questions and learning it was lost in the Fraser River and the tide was coming up, I knew I wouldn’t be there in time to help him as I was over 2 1/2 hours away.

After I checked the low tide table, we planned on meeting the next day at 4:30 PM, we met on a nice sunny day. The tide was out and he showed me where he was on the beach. Luckily, he had made a visual reference an exact spot where he was skipping stones when he felt his ring come off. This makes a huge difference as it puts me in an area I can focus on, some people do not do this, and it could take hours for us to come in and guess where they were standing in order to locate the item.

I had him pick up a rock and show me the way he skipped it, I was able to determine the direction his ring would’ve come off and it was pretty close to the area, it only took 10 minutes to find his beautiful ring. That was a gift from his girlfriend, this ring was her late grandfathers ring, and you can imagine how both of them felt when it was lost. He was very surprised, and very relieved when I held up the ring to show him.

Toleen lost her wedding set in Ocean City, NJ yesterday while spending the day with her family on the beach.  The rings were placed in the pocket of the beach chair and fell in the sand when she folded it up. Her daughter, Alexa, searched and found my Ring Finders South Jersey page when the family realized the rings were lost. While getting some preliminary information before searching, I asked if anyone took any pictures when they sitting on the beach. Her daughter, Liana, had a TikTok video with houses in the background that helped give an approximate location. After roughly 35 minutes of gridding the area, the rings were found! Now Toleen and her family can enjoy the rest of their vacation in Ocean City, NJ.

How to find a lost ring.

Seascape Beach ring found

  • from Monterey (California, United States)

Got a call from a person who lost their gold ring on Seascape Beach, near Aptos and Watsonville area.   She had her ring for safe-keeping in a bag with other belongings.  At a certain point, the bag tipped over .  She steadied the bag, put the thermos back inside, and was unaware that her ring must have slipped out at that time.  It was not till she got home that she realized her ring wasn’t in the bag.   She figured it must have slipped out when the bag had tipped earlier.   She went back to the spot, as best she could remember that exact spot.  But the dry loose sand had swallowed the ring.  It was not visible , and no amount of feeling around produced results.   She called me, and we were  able to help reunite a family heirloom ring to the owner.   Glad to help.     An added note :  This beach has extremely black mineralized sand, and the ring was very dainty, so I had actually missed it on the first pass through the suspect zone.   Going back through the 2nd time, I gave double scrutiny for whispers trying to come in over the static produced by the black sand conditions.  This time, got the signal I had missed on the first pass through.

Gold wedding band lost on muddy trail…Found!

  • from Walnut Creek (California, United States)

Bay Area Ring Finders: Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

I was pleased with myself, having disassembled, cleaned, and packed my metal detector for a impending trip.  So when I received the text from Will and his wife looking for assistance locating his missing gold wedding band, it was a scramble to unpack, assemble and get out the door with my rain gear.  I had to get the ring found before leaving for my trip or it might remain lost for an extended period of time.

I met Will in a lite drizzle at the Macedo Ranch Staging Area where only a few days earlier he and his family had been for a hike.  The trail, a muddy quagmire, proved to be detrimental to his gold wedding band (and apparently a pair of shoes) when he sank knee deep into the muck.  After warning others not to proceed he recovered and shook the mud from his hands.  At that moment, he felt the band slip away and disappear in the sticky mud.  The family, aided by a nearby photographer, searched for some time but came up short.

Disappointed at the loss and looking for solutions, Will thought about purchasing a metal detector.  He admitted he may have even had an Equinox machine in his cart on Amazon when he made contact with me.

At this point in the story, I’d like to thank the individual who located my services and past it along to Will and his family.  Without you, this might have had a very different ending and so thank you;.  I’d gladly buy you a drink should we meet-up at some point.

More to the point, it was a 10-15 minute walk through lite rain and sticky mud up the trail to where Will and his family left markers.  These markers coincided with a GPS coordinate they took to be able to get back to the locale.  These two actions put me within 8 feet or less to where we found that booming mid-tone (VDI-20).  The conditions were not great, the same quagmire that Will took his fall was now our search area, but after approximately 30 minutes of search time, we made the recovery!

Will- It was a pleasure talking with you on our little treasure hunt.  All the things your family did to get us in the right location was spot on, great job!  I’m very happy with the result and excited that the ring tells an even more exciting tale beyond just your marriage.  Best luck to you and the family in the future!

Very special wedding band lost and recovered in Lodi, CA

  • from Nashville (Tennessee, United States)

I got a call from Jackie on 03-27-2023 at about 8:00 PM. She said her husband, TJ, had lost his gold wedding band yesterday in their front yard while doing yard work. They had spent hours sifting through leaves and bush trimmings with the help of family members. Jackie had even bought a metal detector, but found only the iron landscape staples and a few trash targets.

There was a dilemma. A heavy rainstorm was going to hit us the next two days. I offered to go straight to Jackie and TJ’s home in Lodi, CA, about 45 minutes away, and Jackie said, “Let’s do this!” I picked up my brother Mark, who is also a detectorist and we headed to Lodi.

After Jackie and TJ showed us the areas where they suspected the ring was lost, Mark and I started a systematic search of the front yard landscaping. Thirty three minutes into the search the ring was found. The expression on TJ’s face when I showed him his ring was priceless.

TJ said his wedding ring was made from gold that came from rings from both of his now-deceased grandfathers. It was an awesome feeling knowing that we were able to let the story of that very special ring to continue on.

This was my very first call out through TheRingFinder directory, and it will forever be a very memorable one. Jackie and TJ are such a nice young couple and it was a true honor to help them have a happy ending to the story of The Lost Ring.
