San Diego Ring Finder rescues a Lost wedding ring consumed by the Sea with metal detector equipment!

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

The California Ring Finders Metal Detector service saved another wedding band from being consumed by the hungry Pacific Ocean!

Recently I received a text Saturday afternoon from Matt saying I was recommended to help find a wedding ring lost in the shallow 2’ water at a local SoCal beach 3 hours prior. Only issue was (Timing) as the tide has risen significantly since rendering an immediate search for this precious ring until a lower tide a few hours later.

As planned we met there that evening just as the sun set along with falling tides. Matt explained to me what happened when it was lost. He simply reached his hand down in beach sand at the surf line, Then looked at his hand after to discover his ring was gone!

We walked to the approximate area to begin a thorough grid search chasing the tide out to the surf in waist deep intervals. After nearly completing the search area the only possible target was a deep low tone that sank out of range of the Minelab Equinox 800 when I was trying to retrieve it in the lapping surf with rough current. I had to run back to my vehicle and switch to a Pulse detector to retrieve it. Turned out be a flat lead piece of trash!

I turned my metal detector off, Walked over to Matt while waiting above on the beach for about an hour to suggest taking a break for the tide to fall further/Kill time.

Unfortunately during our break we found out the parking lot closes at 10:00pm and could receive citations soon. Matt with his son agreed to wait however we needed to pace back there quickly to double check a landmark from a photo taken matched the search areas proximity.

Round 2, I began cross gridding the same area down the slope further out to the aggressive sea for nearly another hour with no luck at all. At this point I’m basically fighting a battle us Ring finders often have & that’s when to call it quits!   I thought to myself what to say too Matt when I come back empty handed soon.

The only search area I haven’t overly stretched too far is further south of the Landmark Boulder they posted at earlier,,So I headed quite a bit that way building up thought when I was interrupted by a loud solid BEEP on my metal detector … 2 scoops, 6-8” down & a few Seconds later…Matt’s Titanium wedding ring of 20 years magically appeared in my hand!!

You can only fathom how relieved Matt was & others I’ve helped the past 10yrs… To have something Soo important, Soo sentimental, So meaningful taken from you by the hungry ocean…Then handed back to you with a smile:)

I received a call from John Hughes to help find a men’s ring at Carlsbad beach. He had already scanned over the 12X12 area multiple times with 2 different metal detectors but was not able to find it due to this type of ring being what’s known as a “Broken signal.” It is a chain linked style ring which can act as a non-conductive metal that disables most type of detectors from picking up the signal.
Fortunately I recently invested in a new high frequency machine that will pick up broken signals such as Gold Chains, gold earrings with an open loop etc.

When I arrived to the scene of the lost ring I met Johnny who had preserved an area in dry sand with beach chairs. I asked a few detective questions mostly about the style of this chain linked ring, then began my search.

After 5-10 minutes with a few small pieces of trash I got a steady low tone on my machine while shaking my sand scoop I had  unearthed Johnny’s hefty Gold diamond ring.He was stoked and relieved to have this precious metal back on his finger. What a great feeling it was especially as the local beach goers were clapping & cheering after it was Returned !

Thank you Johnny for the gratuity and John Hughes for calling me to help others.

July 5th I received a text from Dale who was at Carlsbad beach TWR 36 on the 4th of July when he noticed his ring had fallen out of a pocket into the sand. The group of six tried sifting through the sand but with no luck.He was already back in L.A but asked if I could help find it for him.Fortunately it was only 7 minutes away so I headed down immediately.

As I walked around I noticed tight Grid lines in the sand EVERY where! Bad news, This means a metal detector Guy was here earlier and the ring is most likely gone!! I text Dale to confirm this was the location hoping I’m at the wrong TWR,He text me back and said yes that’s where I was just south of the tower on the slight slope. 😱 I had to at least scan over the guys grid mark patterns on the slope with hopes he missed it…On my 2nd pass back I get a signal 4-5” down then out popped a white Gold Ring..right in the Detectorist’s tracks!

I text Dale that I have found a ring then sent him the photo. He was at work when he got the pic and jumped out of his seat in excitement & shock. He text me he actually had to explain to his co-workers what happened and they were all amazed!

A few days later I met Dale and Brenda at Tamarack beach. The smiles lit up and they were very grateful to have this precious wedding back at last.

Thank you for the kind reward!

La Jolla Metal Detector found Lost ring

TheRingFinders Metal Detector Service helped find a Lost wedding Band at Windansea beach in La Jolla. OPEN NOW

On 4th of July,2018 I noticed an email about a lost wedding ring at Windansea beach below the La Jolla cliff during the arising tide. I emailed the wife back that I’m willing to help search for it but will have to wait until low tide early the following morning.
I sent her my cell number so we could communicate quicker plus was able to set up a time to meet Chris who is the husband/Owner of the buried wedding band in the wet sand.

At 6:30am I showed up to the Scene of the Lost Ring nearly 30 min early cause I expected lots of traffic but must mention that the other enthusiasts Detector Guys are at many beaches searching for what they claim as “Treasures” this time of year on 4th of July.

Fortunately when I met Chris there was no sign of beach combers and the spot he showed me where the ring dropped out of a pocket was Virgin grounds with zero drag marks or holes.

Chris did also have an accurate/descriptive area where the ring could be buried so I started in a standard grid pattern search dragging my sand scoop up & down the zone when I heard a deep target nearly 7-10” down then WARNED him this could be just a bottle cap or such trash?? Though,,also could be your ring?? After I got it out of the 3rd scoop on to the towel line I heard a hole in the center of it indicating a ring on my machine while knowingly,,I shook the scoop out uncovering Chris’s Lost wedding ring as he watched! ((Boom)). Chris was electrifyied and I was extatic. I am still amazed after 5 years of returning such precious metals that this gets me excited as much as anyone else,Like as if it’s my first ring return .😇 Much to yearn for there is!

I have many types of special metal detectors for each scenario with over a decade in use but these searches do rely vastly on the timing of the Calls/Tides/Surf conditions/Beach sifting machines/Local beach combers..etc.

However good karma and Knowledge is of my TOP  best equipments for recovering your lost sentimental Item. There is a great chance I can reunite you with your Wedding Ring. Timing is of the essence.

Sunday July 1st,I received a text before midnight from Jason who had just noticed his ring was missing and asked if I could help him find it at the beach?
We agreed to meet at 6am the next morning. Normally,I Immediately go at the drop of the Hat but this particular location is illegal to park at from 11pm-sunrise plus I rarely see metal detector guys or hobbyists also known as“Beach Combers” Cleaning this piece full Local surf spot.

I went back to sleep with one eye open when my alarm woke me up 4.5 hrs later…
I met Jason at the scene of the lost ring then we walked down to where he had his Platinum wedding ring of over 20 years fall out of the chair cup holder. Fortunately Jason remembered the exact location. So I turned on My Metal Detector then got a consistent beep on the first sweep,,Not even 1 step into performing a professional grid pattern hunt when out came his precious ring buried in the sand…less than just 5 seconds of Detecting.

The force was strong with this search!

Jason had the same shell shocked look as I did after Pulling it out of the sand scoop shovel! Amazed as well as I was because knowing some searches can take hours,Days or weeks?

Then the standard question popped up afterwards of payment or reward?? No worries to any call I get,I enjoy what I do & do not Demand a charge for my service!

I work on a reward basis and often give out my address or info so that people can send any gratitude they feel necessary later. No dollar is ever needed upfront to help out at anyone on the Local San Diego beaches!

Lost Gold Ring San Diego

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

A Gold wedding ring was found and returned by Theringfinders metal detecting service in Carlsbad ca.

June 3rd,2017   I received a phone call from a good friend John Hughes to help out William who had lost his ring in Carlsbad at the beach.

William had a friend he asked to store his Gold ring in a zipper pocket while they played volleyball. During the hour of fun in the sun his friend had taken his phone out of the same pocket to take photo’s and later they both realized the wedding ring was gone..buried in the sand. They had started to search in one volleyball court with there hands when a local fellow from A Voleyball Team who was waiting to use the court for a tournament suggested they call Theringfinders metal detecting service. John Hughes got the call and he went down there to help with out any luck. The beach was packed with people and the search area grew 100′ x 200′ feet after hearing his friend ran to another court and back during the time His ring disappeared.

I arrived to search the area that night and noticed it was a very large area to grid. I spent nearly 2hrs maticulously Gridding every inch of the zone and was running out of possible areas it could be. Approaching midnight I decided to head home to rest and give it a better shot in the morning. But like always,I never turn my machine off until I’m off the beach and while swinging back to my vehicle just out of the main search area I get a signal with a precious tone on my metal detector…I take 1 scoop and there she was,A very unique Gold and diamond ring made by Neil Lane.

I called William right away and he came down from the hotels 5 min away and was stoked I had recovered his wedding ring.

If you have lost your ring call or Text me at 760 889 2751. Available 24/7
