Ring found at Shawnee Mission Park

Paul and Anika had a ring exchange ceremony on beautiful Saturday afternoon.  The next day, they enjoyed the day spending time at a local park and lake. Paul discovered he lost his ring but was confident he was wearing it when they entered the park.

We scheduled a time to meet at the park and upon arrival spent about 10 minutes of detecting Q&A to get as much information as possible to narrow the search field.  After about 20 minutes of combing through pull tabs and can slaw, I hit a shallow, solid target but it still couldn’t be seen with the naked eye.  The pinpointer sniffed it out and we had one very happy couple.

Ventnor, NJ beachgoers know the joy of a day by the ocean, soaking up the sun and enjoying activities like a friendly game of catch. But for Doug, a fun day at the beach almost took a disastrous turn when his ring flew off while he was catching a football. Luckily, the story has a happy ending, thanks to the help of the Ring Finders South Jersey.

Doug was enjoying his time in Ventnor NJ, soaking up the sun and having a catch on the beach. But when Doug went to catch the football, disaster struck – his ring slipped off his finger and flew into the ocean. Allie quickly reached out to me for help finding the lost ring.

After asking a few questions to pinpoint the location, I began his search. After searching one area, Doug realized he was over a little further, and soon after, the metal detector picked up a great sounding signal. With a few digs, out popped the ring!

I hadn’t been home from work too long this evening when I got a call from Anna. She was playing volleyball with her husband and some friends when her engagement ring went flying somewhere in the sand. I told her to stay there and I was on my way. When I got there they told me they had gone and purchased a detector but she quickly explained what I already knew, the cheap ones don’t work very well. I started searching and although I only had to look for a few minutes, their smiles beamed like I’d been searching for days when I held out the ring. Congrats Anna, I’m so glad that I could help. 😃💍

Randy was visiting from Los Angeles with his extended family.
His sister-in-law had lost her bracelet in the sand on a remote beach – Kekaha Kai – on the West coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
After a 4-wheel drive trip to the beach, the family met me in the gravel parking lot and we walked to the area they’d been at a few days earlier.
It was a simple bracelet, Randy said, but something with great sentimental value since his dad I had bought it for her 30 years earlier as a wedding gift in Malaysia.
I was running a new metal detector and was excited to put it thru its paces. Bracelets and necklaces are the hardest thing for detectors to find especially if the ends are not connected.
When the bracelet was lost, the family and their young grandkids had been playing in the sand, running into the ocean, fooling around with a rope swing and so on. The sister-in-law said the kids had be clambering all over her throughout the day – it could be anywhere.
I started to look in the water but suddenly changed my mind. After spending 15 years in Thailand, a nearby neighbor of Malaysia, I knew South East Asians typically (and wisely) avoided the hot sun of the day. Let’s look in the shade instead where everyone was now sitting…
I asked the group to move and at that moment Randy’s dad and I simultaneously spotted something sparkling poking out of the sand. He reached down and pulled out the bracelet from a pile of sand.
I’d been looking for a simple gold chain, but what came out was a 40-diamond strong gold tennis bracelet.
Needless to say we were all thrilled – the eyes were the best detector – but I’ll have to wait until next time to test my new machine!

Lost and found ring in the ocean off Miami Beach

If you’ve recently lost some jewelry and are looking for someone with a metal detector to find it, call / text  Louis 305-608-1870.  I have a metal detecting recovery service and can come out and find your lost item.  This ring was recovered off of Miami Beach in the shallow water.  She wasn’t able to meet me there, but took good pictures of where she lost it and I was able to go based off of her pictures the surrounding area I was able to find it in about 3 feet of water. Jeremy’s friend Mark called because Jeremy had lost his wedding ring in the sand while playing football with friends at the beach. When going for the ball, his ring came off, and was completely hidden from him and his friends who searched hard for it. I let him know I would come ASAP in order to have a successful recovery.

When I arrived I went to the wrong place, and had to call in order to be redirected to where the loss occurred. When I found him he showed me the area, and how the loss occurred. I began my search, finding quite a bit of metal trash in the area which slowed down the search considerably. I searched the area he showed me, not finding the ring, so I began to expand the search zone. After about 5 more passes I found his ring. Jeremy and his friends were surprised it had gone into that area, but he was happy to have it back. Great smile!

Wedding Ring recovered with metal detector in Laguna Beach

Kevin said he was brushing the sand off his hands when he felt his ring fly off and into the sand. I drove approximately 40 minutes to meet him at the beach.

When I arrived he showed me the area where he lost it but I couldn’t locate it.  I then started to check the wet sand and he said he thinks it is higher up in the dry sand so I checked the dry sand again without any luck so back to the wet sand I went and sure enough I got a signal and when I looked down I could see his ring sticking out of the sand.

Kevin and his wife were so grateful and very appreciative of my metal detecting service.

find lost ring lbiJune is a great time of year, weather is warming up, school is getting out for the summer, the beach scene is almost in full swing, graduations, prom, etc. That’s when Hailey had a horrible mishap. She was at the Jersey Shore for the weekend after the prom, enjoying the beach life, when her phone totally disappeared somehow, in the soft sugar sand of Seaside Park NJ. She reached out to me NJ Ring Finder, wondering if there was anything I could do to recover her phone. Everyone knows loosing your phone can wreak havoc, especially when its not totally backed up. I had been in the area already, so after getting the details, I headed right over to the spot she had figured it was lost. Just a short while later I had her phone, her drivers license, and some money, that was stashed inside the phone case, safely in my finds pouch. We agreed on a location to meet a few hours later. Hailey was so grateful to have her phone, and her belongings back, after a long and nervous separation.

Necklace lost at La Jolla Shores found

Roy was body surfing at La Jolla Shores when a wave stripped his necklace with 3 silver pendants off over his head. He had worn this necklace since childhood, so, it had lots of sentimental significance. Several days later, he contacted me for help finding it. Since that beach is probably the most detected beach in San Diego, I told Roy there was a good possibility that it had already been found, but, I was more than willing to try. We met at 11pm so I could benefit by a very low tide a couple of hours later. We walked out into the search area as I got the information I needed. He defined the search area as being between two lifeguard stands. Wow, that’s a big area. This beach is very shallow, so, when the tide drops a foot, it  can open up another 50 yards of wet sand. This was looking to be several football fields in size. We were just standing out in the middle discussing this when Roy wished me good luck and headed home to get some sleep before and early work day. I fired up my machine and walked maybe ten feet and got a banging 82 on my Equinox 900. One scoop and I had his necklace with pendants! One of most incredibly lucky finds I’ve ever had! This should have taken hours and hours to cover all this ground, if it was even still there. I called Roy back before he left and he was amazed that I had found it already (as was I). Roy will now sleep easier. A pleasure to meet you and thank you for the reward.
