Lost Diamond Studded Nose Ring…Found in the East Bay!!!

Bay Area Ring Finders Brendon Chapman… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP     925-580-2590

Now offering Metal Detecting, Video Endoscope, and Magnet Fishing services!

On 9-14-2022 at approximately 9 pm, I was contacted by an individual looking for someone to search his vehicle for a lost diamond studded nose ring.  The individual knew that he had misplaced the item within his vehicle but was unable to recover the item on his own.

It was another 4 days before our schedules aligned to perform the search using a video endoscope.  I searched, unsuccessfully, for quite a while and was about to call it off, but opted to question the individual one last time.

An important new detail was revealed in that he had thought that he put the nose ring in the drivers side door pocket.  He and I had both performed an inspection of this pocket by touch and nothing was in the pocket.  In the name of being extremely thorough, I scanned the pocket with the video endoscope and found that the door pocket itself was made up of two pieces and that there was a small crease between the two plastic door moldings.

The other thing we noticed was a strong shimmer of light reflecting back out of that crease, but how to retrieve it?

I popped the plastic door panel away from the door and out of the corner of my eye, sighted the tiniest of objects fall to the pavement. I never imagined how small it would be, but after a good hard search and just before the skies opened up with a heavy deluge…We made the recovery!!!

This call to service reinforced the fact that continuous questioning can often times lead to new and unexpected recollections that can ultimately make or break the success of one of these searches.

Lost and found IPhone 10 in Trenton Ontario

  • from Cobourg (Ontario, Canada)

Received a text from Tim about two weeks ago, about how he had lost his cell phone at a local dock in Trenton Ontario. The phone was sitting on an empty baby carriage, with a water bottle, and the wind blew the carriage into the water. Now, the issue was that he since had left this location, on their boat, to Kingston and could not meet up at the dock. After exchanging information and pictures of the dock, I went for a scuba dive trying to locate his phone. Unfortunately, the bottom was extremely silty, with lots of weeds, and working again in zero visibility. Using my underwater metal detector, I was able to find (feel) a cell phone but not the right one. I went back a couple days later, this time using a strong fishing magnet but no luck. Finally, after talking with Tim again and fine tuning exactly where the phone had fell in, I went for a third time, scuba diving, and manage to find his phone. Another happy ending!

Lost Ring English Bay Beach

I got a call this afternoon in regards to a lost silver spoon ring that was custom-made for this young lady and other family members by their Nana who is 99 years old. I was on my way to Chilliwack for a search when it got called off so I headed straight to English Bay beach to help Kathy.

It was Sunday and it was a nice sunny day and it didn’t take me too long to get there and meet Kathy and hear the story on what this ring meant to her and how important it was to get it back. The fact that it was lost the same day I felt confident I would pull this out of the sand for her, it’s just a matter of doing a grid search to find it.  Kathy told me she was at the beach when a volleyball came towards her and she picked it up and threw it back to the players and that’s when her ring came flying off of her finger.

She told me that her hands were cold and the ring flew off with the ball towards the players, she and others search but could not find the ring, sadly. She called her boyfriend and he went online and found TheRingFinders. When I arrived I must’ve had three or four people come up to me and see a lady had lost her ring and I told her I was there to help that lady and they were very happy to hear that, so nice that so many people cared for this young lady and we’re all hope for I will find a ring for her.

It didn’t take long to find that beautiful silver spoon ring, it was nowhere near where Kathy thought the ring would be, it was almost where she was standing and that’s because the ring came off on the downward swing of the throw.

Lost and found IPhone at Bon Echo Provincial park

  • from Cobourg (Ontario, Canada)

My adventure today was to meet up with Fatih at Bon Echo Provincial park. His IPhone fell out of his pocket while at a dock across Mazinaw lake. Fortunately for him, it was only about 10’ deep, laying flat on the bottom just before a huge drop off. While looking for his phone, also found another cell phone and four old pair of sunglasses. Absolutely beautiful day for a Scuba dive although a bit chilly with air temps of 12C and water temp of 65C. Another happy ending!

I was on my computer early this morning when I got a text message from a young lady at approximately 7:20 AM asking if I could help find her ring. I called her right away and we set up a time to meet in 45 minutes at Kits Beach, where she lost the ring. When I arrived at the beach I met the young lady and she showed me the approximate area where she believed she lost her ring’s. That’s right rings, she had lost two rings not just one but there was one ring with a Pearl that meant the world to her. I asked her if she could tell me the story about the ring but I could tell she was a little uncomfortable and I didn’t want to force it.

I set up my grid search and had no luck for the first hour and a half but I kept on expanding my search area and close to two hours mark I found both of her rings! I was able to surprise her with the rings and see how it made her feel to have them back on her finger. I got to hear the story about why the pearl ring meant to her, she told me a few years back she had a tough battle with depression and she bought that ring to celebrate hanging on and she did. You can only imagine with that ring meant to her to get it back, I was so honoured to be able to find it and hand it back to her and see how it made her feel.

I know I said this before and I’ll say it again, I am so proud of  ”TheRingFinders” and all the members who have joined to help people in their towns & city’s. This is a very needed service and we have reached  10,000 recorded recoveries this month.

Shawn “SGT Whitey” Sherrill – Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Call/Text ASAP  Anytime 24/7   918-313-2202!

Got a call from a young man near Rock Hill, SC. He stated he had lost his ring while playing with his dog. Like I stated earlier it was an almost 3 hour drive one way. I texted him that I was on my way and that I should get their by 6-6:15 pm. I arrive and got the details from him. After about 45 mins and 5 yards later. I saw it after my coil swung over it and didn’t go off. I was like “WHY DIDN’T I HEAR ANYTHING?” After un-notching 65-85 VDI range. I figured out why! Tantalum is a HIGH TONE! Not a LOW or MID TONE. In fact it sounds like a copper penny or a dime. VDI 81/82 range.

Long Branch NJ Lost Wedding Ring in the sand recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder September 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)
Anthony was at the beach in Long Branch NJ with his family. His wedding ring slipped off into the surf when his daughter was pulling on his fingers, while they were playing in the waves. He marked the location on his phone, and took some pictures of the exact spot their blanket was in. I went there and began the hunt, in little time I had the ring in my scoop. The waves had moved it about 10 yards from the location he gave me. I am mailing it back and he will forward some smiling pics when he is reunited with the ring. Another happy ending. .#njringfinder, #lostring,#lostcross,#lavallettenj,#ortleybeachnj,#lostringLBI,#lostringholgatenj,#lostringsurfcitynj,#lostringlongbranchnj,#lostringbradleybeachnj,

Missing Engagement Ring in Columbia, Tennessee…FOUND!

  • from Huntsville (Alabama, United States)

Christina McCree – Ring Finder for northern Alabama and southern/middle Tennessee…call or text ASAP, anytime 24/7…610-504-6135

On Thursday night (September 8th, 2022), I received a text message from Austin stating that his fiancé, Shannon, had lost her engagement ring earlier that day while she was outside of their home.  They had spent 4 hours searching with a cheap metal detector, but no luck.  They also tried looking in the dark with a flashlight.  I told Austin I’d be more than happy to help, and that I could come out the next day as soon as I got off from work.

I met Austin and Shannon at their home in Columbia, Tennessee on Friday around 4:30pm.  They explained that they checked their security cameras and were able to pinpoint when Shannon last had her ring on and when she first noticed it missing.  Shannon had gone over to the chicken coop, grabbed a bad egg, and threw it over their wire fence into the field.  She shook her hand because some yolk had gotten on it.  Next, she went and pulled some weeds from the garden, but she said she had noticed her ring was missing before she did that.

I began my search by where Shannon was standing when she threw the egg.  Next, I hopped the fence and began a grid search in the field.  This was challenging at times due to the height of the grass and weeds, so I had to press my detector down in certain spots.  When I felt like I had covered a decent area, I hopped back over the fence to check the bedding where the chicken egg was.  Still no ring.  Austin then showed me the video of the egg throw and I noticed that Shannon threw sideways towards the right side.  I hopped back over the fence and expanded my grid towards the right.  I continued searching until I felt like I had covered the area quite a ways.

We decided that I could come back out in the fall and recheck the field better when the grass was cut.  I told them that I wanted to check the garden in case Shannon had actually noticed the ring was missing after (not before) she had weeded.  Austin marked the path she had walked with my cones.  I walked down to the garden and searched one side of her path.  I then searched around the planter she was working in.  The grass was about 2-3 inches tall.  I just finished my lap around the planter when I received a solid tone that showed at a shallow depth on my Minelab Equinox 800.  This was the kind of signal that you just know it had to be the ring.  I bent down, parted the grass, and saw that golden circle beaming back up at me!  I looked up at Shannon with a big smile.  She said, “you found it!?”  I replied, “got it!”  Both Shannon and Austin were shocked because Shannon thought she noticed it missing before she pulled the weeds from the garden.  In fact, they didn’t even search that area because of that!  I explained that our minds will play tricks on us and can even change how events are played back in our heads.

Shannon and Austin were both so excited and relieved that her beautiful 14K yellow gold engagement ring was back on her finger where it belongs!!!  They were also so happy that they came across The Ring Finders Metal Detecting Service.  Shannon apologized that she had me looking in the wrong spot, but I told her that it was the most likely area and we needed to search that first.  In the end, all that matters to me is that the person gets their ring back no matter how long it takes to find it.  I’m so proud to be a member of this great service; please, tell your friends that it exists!  Looking forward to the next adventure…
