Lost rings found in Franklin MA

  • from Charlestown (Rhode Island, United States)

On Mother’s Day, I received a call from Brigid, an upset mother who had lost both her diamond and wedding rings.  They were lost a day earlier while she was doing yard work.  The next day I went to Brigid’s home to search for both rings.  She described how she had been clearing brush and weeds, and lost the rings while piling up the refuse.  After an hour of searching the yard, I located her wedding ring.  It took an additional hour and a half to locate the diamond ring.  Brigid described the recovery as “amazing”.

Where In The Deck Are The 4 Diamonds?

This pictured gentleman felt he had the cards stacked against him when his ring slipped off while working up on his deck brushing the dog and multitasking to various projects. He tried to climb underneath but kept bumping his head and after almost getting stuck decided he wasn’t playing with a full deck. After speaking with him he decided to play his cards right and have me come out to play the right hand. When I arrived I asked him to lay all his cards out on the table and let me know all the hands he played today. After shuffling I decided my ace in the hole was to go a few more cards down from the top of the deck. Sweeping my MXT
under the deck I got a nice +40 read and moving in closer I saw 4 pretty diamonds and a gold band trying to bluff me from behind some gravel and grass. As you can see, he is now holding all the cards and not feeling the situation is a house of cards.
Him and his wife’s hearts are reunited with the diamonds, and we all agreed that holding the right cards doesn’t ensure a win….but the right moves do!

Ring Recovery On Honeymoon Island State Park

Audrey was visiting with her inlaws and went to the beach on Honeymoon Island State Park and realized her wedding ring was missing when she was leaving. Her father inlaw Mike was with her and alerted the park ranger who had them call Howard Metts to help.

The next day Howard Metts and Dimitur Alipiev met (Mike) at the beach. Audrey was in the water throwing a ball when the ring slipped off her finger. After about an hour of searching, Dimitur Alipiev heard a good target and came up with the ring. Mike watched us coming in from the water and assumed we were giving up the search. Upon seeing the ring he was amazed we could find it after a day in the water and very Greatful. Howard texted a picture to a very happy Audrey who was on her way home to North Carolina. Great job Dimitur on the recovery!

“It’s in the hole”

I received an email today from James, who had lost his Gold ring in his garden, and wanted to know if I could help find it. I replied “Sure, I will call you later this afternoon”, but didn’t hear back so I figured he was busy. I emailed again letting him know the phone# he gave din’t work, but still no reply during the day, so I figured I would just stop by his house after work, as it was 6 Minutes away!

I pulled up just seconds after he got home, and introduced myself, but I noticed a Gold ring on his hand and so I figured he had found it, but he said it was his spare! lol  He has several!

He showed me where he was repairing a PVC Drain pipe and water line, about a foot and a half down, and figured he lost it in the surrounding area, wood chips and bushes.

I got my AT-MAX with small coil and began scanning around the area, jacuzzi, bushes and then poked the coil down into the hole around the PVC pipe and got a signal. Not a clean 50’s but almost like a quarter signal on edge. I popped out my pinpointer and there was surely something metal in the mud a few inches down, and since it was clean dirt and PVC pipe, I had to dig it.

Sure enough, there it was, caked with dirt, but nice and shiny! Super nice guy and happy to have his “primary” ring back.

James was very happy that his wife had found me on TheRingFinders.com.

Lost Gold Diamond Wedding Band Set Recovered in Nottingham, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

I received a call back on the 18th of March from a woman who was positive she lost her wedding set in her back yard while doing some spring cleanup with her husband. Despite searching through the leaves for hours, they were unable to locate either of the rings. They also decided to go out and purchase a metal detector and give that a try. They quickly realized if you are not proficient and experienced with a detector, attempting to use one on the fly leads to frustration. I was able to meet them at their home that very day (Sunday) and immediately began my search once they showed me the probable areas where the rings might be. After about 20 minutes……SUCCESS!

The rings(the one in the picture above is her engagement ring) were not too far from each other and were up close to a shed in the yard. To complicate things, there were spare railing pieces leaned up against the shed making the “hiding place” perfect, but they couldn’t escape me!

The rings are now back where they belong with their very happy owner!

Lost Gold with Diamonds Wedding Ring Set in House Found with Dowsing Rod in Ferndale Michigan

Apron Strings And Diamond Rings!

This lovely housewife misplaced her soldered gold w/diamonds wedding ring set back in January 2018. Off and on she had taken them off during various chores but was always able to find them. With a busy lifestyle, school, 2 cats and a dog, time had gone by and she was unable to locate the ring. Moments in time as to where she was where it was lost became blended and when I talked with her a few days ago she basically said it could be anywhere in the house. Since I had a couple days before we were to search, I had time to photo dowse the location. We made arrangements to search today and when I got on site we checked various places where the pets may have thought it was a toy and flung it somewhere. Since metal detectors don’t work very well in houses I turned to dowsing to help me solve the situation. I didn’t know there were 3 levels to the house. After a few visual checks on each floor and nothing turned up I got to a spot on each floor where I could sweep the dowsing rod 360 degrees. Starting on the upper floor I got a lock in a slightly off line direction from where I had photo dowsed. She told me the box the rod pointed to had a gold class ring in it. For a moment I had thought that it was what I picked up on in the photo, so moving to the main floor I repeated the procedure and the rod locked from 2 directions about 15 feet away towards the fridge. So we moved the fridge and no ring. I moved over in another direction and repeated my dowsing procedure and got another lock to the left of the fridge, this was the pantry area. So she started to shuffle thru items and as she reached into an apron pocket she shouted I found it! Quite happy she was that her wedding ring set was found but had not remembered putting it into the apron while doing some baking! Just in time tho to enjoy the Easter holiday and show off the ring to family who could not make it to their wedding!

RINGS FOUND IN SNOW AT LAKE COUNTRY BC.

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

Louise`s daughter and friends were out of High School enjoying the recent snow fall when she realized she had lost her mothers gold ring and her silver finger splint. Louise had 6 school friends out three times searching for the rings, they even used a metal detector to no avail. I was out of country, but as soon as got home my wife gave me the message and I arranged to meet Louise at the location. It had been almost 2 weeks since the loss, she gave me the story and showed me the trail they took from the school to the park, and were they played throwing snowballs, I told her that would be the prime location, take me there. Once we arrived at the location low and behold we looked down and there was the gold ring melted out of the snow, the silver finger splint took a little more searching but we were successful.     I made another friend.

Found! Diamonds and Gold Wedding ring at Log Castle during lowtide… Langley Washington!

  • from Seattle (Washington, United States)

Last weekend, Corianne was digging up bait shrimp during lowtide at her family-owned vacation rental, The Log Castle Bed & Breakfast, https://www.vrbo.com/1015151  when she realized she had lost her custom made white gold and multi diamond wedding ring! And since the sand was like quicksand while digging, it could be very deep in one of the holes they made digging up sand shrimp…

She emailed me after  purchasing a detector and having no luck searching with her husband. Unfortunately my schedule wouldn’t allow me to hunt for it for at least a week after she had lost it. The soft sand and tides could really engulf it in that time, but it was worth trying.

After a week, I was able to take a road trip up there, and after searching for about 3 hours, surrounded by bald eagle nests and at least 3 eagles  and about 25 seagulls watching me work… I found it!

It was an emotional reunion and a great location to hunt at, despite the quicksand like conditions… and I will be camping on the property as an added bonus! Maybe some bald eagle photos to follow…

Lost White Gold and Diamond Ring In House Found In Couch With Dowsing Rod in Livonia Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

What’s In YOUR Couch?

This pictured couple lost one of the 3 white gold rings from the wife’s wedding set yesterday. I was able to meet them today and since the metal detector doesn’t work well in house searches, I turned to my dowsing techniques to help. I use dowsing almost on every search in some form or fashion just to get a feel for the situation and if I need to incorporate it to make the find. Dowsing can be used to search for pretty much whatever you are looking for, missing persons, pets, treasure, ect. So she set the rings on the arm of the couch and he sat down and 2 went flying, they found the 2 but the 3rd went into the floor air duct, so they thought. I asked about any children and pets that may have moved off with the ring and they said no the baby daughter was in bed when it happened. I felt around the upper part of the arm and discovered 2 small holes in the material that led down into the hollow part of the arm, that convinced me that the ring could have worked it’s way downward. I made a sweep with the dowsing rod from 2 directions focusing on the ring and it locked on the couch arm, so we rotated the couch front and back and heard something rolling around on the inside wood portions of the arm.
We had to remove the staples and material from the arm to get a better look and when we opened it up we first got a small toy magnet, discouraged, I insisted that the ring was there. We cut open more space to get our hands in further and shining the flashlight into the opening I saw the diamonds shining back at me! The ring was wedged into the corner bottom of the arm! We all laughed and said now they can tell people they found gold and diamonds in their couch cushions! lol

Lost Silver Ring with Diamonds In The Snow Found In Southgate Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

A Family Tradition

This pictured gentleman lost his beautiful ring in the snow playing with the kids last week when enroute to his brothers birthday party…..
The story began when over the years a family member would do something for everyone when an important event happened in the family, whether it was something joyful or sad they always came together to help cope or celebrate. Last November their sister became ill and passed away.
Since she loved jewelry, the other brother bought everyone a piece of jewelry in remembrance.
Because of the heavy snow last week we did search last Friday, until we called it off, deciding to let the 2 foot drifts thaw a bit.
Even tho my bigfoot coil can cut thru the snow very effortlessly, the weight of the snow kept it from using it in that way at full potential.
When we met up this morning quite a bit of snow had melted down enough to do a better search. He remembered throwing snow with both hands in a forward motion and thought it was in that direction. Being that it was dark at the time it flew off, a true trajectory wasn’t for sure. He thought also that it had come off in another spot they were playing. I set up my MXT and started gridding the most likely areas he thought it was. He was nervously pacing around….with thoughts of having to move on March 1st hoping he wouldn’t have to leave it behind or that someone else may have found it. Knowing it was a silver ring I was looking for MXT meter reads in that area. When nothing came up I searched the areas behind where he was. My Nessie toy that hangs off my MXT has always brought me luck on these searches and after a few more sweeps I got a nice loud +77 and a depth of 4 inches. Getting a feeling this was it, I scraped the snow away with my garrett carrot and spotted the top portion of the ring, a nice onyx and diamonds reflecting back at me! I yelled over to him and the wife and son also came running! Encased in ice, I carefully removed the gorgeous ring and handed it to him who was still in shock that it was found! We took it into the house to thaw and examine for any damage. All looked good and now him and the family can move on, not just to a new home, but with their family tradition!
