Found! Diamonds and Gold Wedding ring at Log Castle during lowtide… Langley Washington!

Last weekend, Corianne was digging up bait shrimp during lowtide at her family-owned vacation rental, The Log Castle Bed & Breakfast,  when she realized she had lost her custom made white gold and multi diamond wedding ring! And since the sand was like quicksand while digging, it could be very deep in one of the holes they made digging up sand shrimp…

She emailed me after  purchasing a detector and having no luck searching with her husband. Unfortunately my schedule wouldn’t allow me to hunt for it for at least a week after she had lost it. The soft sand and tides could really engulf it in that time, but it was worth trying.

After a week, I was able to take a road trip up there, and after searching for about 3 hours, surrounded by bald eagle nests and at least 3 eagles  and about 25 seagulls watching me work… I found it!

It was an emotional reunion and a great location to hunt at, despite the quicksand like conditions… and I will be camping on the property as an added bonus! Maybe some bald eagle photos to follow…

Diamond dazzler!

Received a phone call from Kim S that she lost her 20th Anniversary gold with diamonds rind either on her property or in the water.

We set a date and I proceeded up with all my detecting and scuba gear incase a water entry was required. Kim felt strongly that she lost her beautiful ring in the water. I asked more questions and she had said that her husband reminded her that she was back and forth from the water to the hot tub numerous times with the Grand Children.

My gut was telling me to start on land. I proceeded with a grid search…found a penny…found some metal…then on my my 4th pass back between the grass and the concrete steps leading down to the water was a shinny gold ring sparkling with many diamonds staring right back at me!!

I kept my cool, put my detector down and said to Kim “I forgot to do my video for good luck”!! I did a “Facebook Live” video and SURPRISED her with her ring. I think she was in shock when she grabbed it out of my hand….it was really great to see her jump for joy in all the excitement. Kim proceeded to call her Husband who was at the airport to let him know the great news!

I am very grateful to Kim as she rewarded me with a very generous donation on behalf of my “Pay-It-Forward” campaign for the 2018 19th annual Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation Snow Run on my behalf!! Thank you Kim!!

Beausoleil Island, Port Severn, Ontario~Lost late Grandmother’s 18k white gold engagement ring in waters of Georgian Bay

2017-09-04 Beausoleil Island, Honey Harbour, Port Severn, Ontario

Received a phone call from Zac that his girlfriend Lauren was washing her hair in the water when her dog jumped in and her late Grandmother’s recently gifted to her went flying off her finger. Lauren was devastated!!!

So I made arrangement to come flying up Hwy 400 that day and meet Zac at the boat launch as we were headed to an Island cottage.

Lauren explained the area and I was limited to half of a scuba tank. I started grinding and pulled up some crazy items….large nails, old brass table light switch, some coins and lots of metal. Zac had said to try further over. After an hour he jumped it and used the small Scuba Tector I had brought along while I continued with the Minelab Excallibur 2. I went back to the original location and within 20 minute….B-O-O-M….FOUND Lauren’s late Grand Mother’s engagement ring. WHAT A BEAUTY. 18k WHITE GOLD ….. PRICELESS XO

I secretly hinted to my Daughter to start filming….and then SURPRISED THEM. Lauren shrieked in sheer relief. She was very grateful.

Gorgeous platinum and diamond engagement ring lost in Richfield, MN – Now found!

Colleen and her fiance had just finished raking, bagging and setting bagged leaves out in the road in front of their house when Colleen noticed that her platinum engagement ring was no longer on her finger; so they immediately put the bags of leaves in the garage and started searching.

They searched everywhere: the back yard where they bagged the leaves, the spot in the backyard where they temporarily set the bags, in front of the house where they placed the the bags to be picked up.  They even dumped out and searched two of the bags of leaves, but they still came up empty-handed.  So they purchased a metal detector to help in the search, but the metal detector was beeping at everything and didn’t have much depth.  That’s when they decided call for help.

I got the call the following day and made arrangements to come out and find the ring that evening.  Colleen was visibly upset and I knew we had to find it.  First I gridded the front yard, but came up with nothing.  The same thing happened with the back yard and out by the street.  That left just two places where the ring could still be found: inside the garage in one of the bags or in the leaves from one of the bags still spread out on the garage floor.

I first searched the leaves on the floor and the ring was not there.  So we decided to see if we could detect the ring in any of the bags full of leaves without dumping them out.  I got a good solid hit on the first bag we tried and told Colleen that this was probably her ring.  So I dumped the leaves out on the floor and found the solid signal: a large piece of foil!   This was very disheartening to us all.  What were the chances that a large piece of foil would be in that bag?

I continued to search the dumped out leaves from that same bag and very quickly got another solid signal.  I let Colleen and her fiance know that it could be the ring, but I really didn’t want to get their hopes up again only to find another piece of foil.  I uncovered the object in the leaves and exclaimed This sure looks nice and shiny to me!’.  And, sure enough, it was Colleen’s engagement ring!

Interesting to note: they had emptied and searched that same bag that we found the ring in.  They emptied it on the garage floor, searched the leaves and bagged them them back up.

We were all thrilled to see the ring back on Colleen’s finger!

Kevin searching the mud puddle

A lost TUNGSTEN WEDDING RING WITH 3 DIAMONDS was found west of Sundre, Alberta Canada by Kevin Niefer the TV METAL DETECTIVE.  They were up in the foothills where people go 4 wheel driving and ride on quads.  The Bride and Groom were having a mud fight for their wedding photos and the groom lost his ring in a large mud puddle.  Everyone in the wedding party tried looking for it.  The ring wasn’t found even after six people put in about six hours. They even rented their own metal detector with no luck. I was able to find it in 20 minutes.  This made two people very happy.  Now the groom was out of the doghouse and their lives full of wedded bliss could begin……..

Wedding ring returned

After an email request to find a lost wedding ring in 5 feet of water, I jumped into action. Traveling 2 hours from my home my brother and I went to Long Lake located in Reading, MI close to Coldwater. The lake had a muddy bottom with about a foot of mucky clay every step was an adventure. After searching around in neck deep water a hit was made and up came the scoop with the wedding band in it.
The owner, Chris P. of Dayton, Ohio, standing in the water with us, yelled up to the people on shore “they found it”.
A yellow gold band with six diamonds was handed to the owner and he said “I can tell my wife now that I lost my ring and found it, this is the second ring I never found the first one”.
