Lost Gold Ring Recovered/Returned In High Point NC

  • from Hillsborough (North Carolina, United States)
Contact:

Got a call yesterday about a lost Gold wedding band ring that was lost in the backyard of a place they were staying at. I went out and met the gentleman who lost the ring and he walked me through what he was doing when he thought he lost his ring. He even tried to locate it himself with a couple metal detectors he borrowed with no luck and that’s when they called me. I began my search and found the ring in about 30 minutes of searching. I was glad to help him and he was very happy to have it back as it was passed down from his father.

Furthest & Fastest Recovery! Lost Silver & Diamonds Ring at Keawaula Beach…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Ryan who was on vacation with his girlfriend Kat both from Albany, New York.  While enjoying the day at Keawaula Beach which happens to be the furthest beach from my home, Kat had taken her Silver & Diamonds ring off and placed it in the cup holder of her beach chair.  When they were getting ready to leave Ryan picked up the beach chair, not realizing the ring was in the holder, shook the sand off the chair and the ring disappeared into the soft white sand.  I was at the Animal Hospital, picking up our dog and I told him it might be a bit but I would grab my gear when I got home and would get there as fast as I could.  Ryan said to call when I was near and he’d come out to the road to flag me down.  Traffic was awesome and I got there in about an hour.  Ryan walked me down and Kat was seated next to the area on the beach.  Ryan had the area marked with sticks but I asked him to draw a box in the sand where he thought the ring would be.  As Ryan was dragging my scoop through the sand along with one of his steps the ring exposed itself and glistened in the sun.  I said look there is the ring as I reached down to retrieve it.  Kat and Ryan were in total amazement.  Either Ryan’s foot or the scoop moved just enough sand to expose the ring.  I guess I can call this my furthest & fastest ring recovery ever.  Aloha to Kat & Ryan!

Lost Titanium Ring Found in Livonia Michigan

Planted !

As the holiday approached, Peter was anxious to begin his landscaping project so he could be done in time to have a nice relaxing day. Moving quickly thru the tasks he was thrilled when completed. Putting the tools away he noticed his ring was missing. Since he had been to a few stores and was working all over the yard he wondered where could it be? Seeds of doubt started to take root. Not beating around the bush, I started to grid search where Peter best remembered where he had the ring on. My MXT metal detector was quiet as it scanned over the new mulch beds, berms and the flower areas. Near 2 thick and deep-rooted plants at the edge of a tall berm, the metal detector gave me that everything’s coming up roses sound. Digging down a bit my pin pointer vibrated as I got near the metal. Feeling thru the dirt revealed a handsome titanium ring! Handing it to him I said that this form of titanium probably wouldn’t help these plants! After a few laughs, Peter was thrilled that this issue was nipped in the bud and now he can take the time to stop and smell the roses.

Diamond Ring Recovered from Recliner in Henderson, NV

I received a call from a woman who lost her engagement ring while sitting in a recliner. As we all know, rings are not usually where people THINK they are. I explained that a metal detector generally does not perform well in a house and most certainly will NOT work in a recliner!! I did suggest that I have other equipment that might aid in the search. She agreed to my show up fee, so I went to her house immediately. Just before I was to leave, I received another message “to bring my metal detector too”. (That prompted the idea that maybe she wasn’t exactly positive as to where the ring might have been lost. However in this case she was correct. It was in the recliner. I used my new Depstech endoscope DS700 and did a preliminary search….NOTHING! I then suggested that we turn over the recliner to see if I could access the areas through a different location. In the process of turning over the recliner, I heard a clink! That was a clue that something loose was UNDER the fabric. I cut a small section of the fabric and with the endoscope was able to see the lost ring. In hind site, I wish I had taken a photo using the endoscope, but alas, I didn’t. I had to make a larger cut to retrieve the ring. She WAS correct about the location and the Ring was retrieved by hand.

Wedding ring lost in field, Holmdel NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

lost ring lbi nj ring finder jersey shore ring finder I received a call from a gentleman who was inquiring about my ring finding service. He was basically gathering information for his son, Nick. He explained that Nick was off loading some hay bales,  when one of the strings grabbed his wedding ring and flung it out into the cow pasture. We discussed how my services work, which he felt was extremely reasonable. His one main concern was that they had been looking for the ring about 1 week already, with a pretty decent metal detector, and had absolutely no luck finding it. He was wondering if the same thing would happen when I came in to try and locate the ring. I had explained that unless you are extremely experienced in recovering lost items, it could be very challenging, especially in a cow pasture with about a week of rain. Talk about smelly and muddy to say the least. He was going to talk it over with his son, and assured me I would most likely get a phone call in the next day or so. This was a private location so there was no rush. As  figured, Nick sent me a text asking if I wanted to give it a shot, to which I replied, absolutely! Nick’s one concern was being he had no luck, what do I think the odds of me finding the ring were. I assured Nick that if he was 100% positive his ring came off in the manner that was explained the night before, I was just about that positive I would be able to recover his ring. We made arrangements to meet after work that day. Once I arrived I put on my boots and out to the location we went. Again, as I do  with every,  I went over and over again exactly what, where, and how the ring flew off. After about 25 minutes covering every inch in multiple directions, all I had was a pouch full of trash. Actually, I was starting to think his ring may have not came off where he said. We took a few steps back to survey the location, and the only thing possible was the hay trailer was about 10’ or so closer to the road side of the field. I worked one or two paths from the already covered spot, and my machine let out the sweet sound of success!!!! I bent over and pushed the slop around until my pin pointer held a steady sound, and just as I figured, there was Nicks ring. I so so love when my clients are positive they know when their items fly off. Thank you agin Nick, it was a pleasure.

Lost and found diamond engagement and wedding rings at Buffler’s beach Ontario

Received a text bright and early this morning about a young lady having lost both her rings yesterday. Oli and his wife Selam were at Buffler’s beach yesterday, enjoying a beautiful day until disaster struck. While playing volleyball in the water, Selam felt both her diamond engagement ring and wedding band fly off her finger, when hitting the ball while being about knee deep in the water. This happened at noon. They frantically searched till 7PM with no luck. After a few of my usual questions, I headed to the beach and met with them. With Selam standing where she thought the rings came off, I started gridding the area and within 40 minutes or so, was able to locate both rings for her. The rings were actually about 25 feet away due to the swinging motion while hitting the ball and only about 1 foot apart laying in the sand. She was so genuinely happy and very emotional and, after some tears, asked for a hug which I gladly shared with her. Lovely young couple and so happy I was able to reunite them with their lost rings. Life is great!!!

Twenty fifth Anniversary Gold Diamond Ring Recovered for owner’s son in Moapa, NV.

  • from Las Vegas (Nevada, United States)

Received a call to come to a ranch in Moapa, NV. to look for a special ring. It was given to his mother,by her husband, for their 25th Anniversary. While she was visiting her son, she was helping to vaccinate a sick billygoat. She was thrown by the animal. They had searched the house and the area where she had been helping, but no luck. He had considered renting a detector, but the rental company suggested contacting a Ringfinder. Knowing the importance of finding the ring, I immediately lay out a gridline of string, so I would cover every square inch. (Training from my Archaeology Class). It took me about 30 minutes, and it was about 15 feet away from where she had been thrown. (It’s NEVER where you expect it to be!!) They had searched the area where she had been thrown. There is nothing better than a Successful Recovery.

Lost ring at beach, Wildwood NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

The ring finders south jerseyJersey shore lost ring finderlost ring lbi nj ring finder jersey shore ring finderJersey shore find lost ring lbiFind lost ring lbiKerry called during the day and left a message wondering if I would be able to help find his lost wedding ring on the beach in Wildwood NJ. I called him right back to go over some of the details about how he lost his ring. Kerry explained he was on the beach with his family, playing with the dogs, and when he looked at his hand he noticed his wedding ring missing. He was very detail oriented, recalling every move leading up to the beach episode. After going over every detail of the day, he distinctly remembered having it on at dinner, and was almost positive it came off while playing with the dogs on the beach. Well, then he mentioned that he had searched the entire area with a metal detector and had no luck. They had also walked back and fourth the entire distance many times. If you know this beach it’s quite a vast area, kinda like walking to another zip code or two. I hope that brought things into perspective a bit. It was getting dark so they threw in the towel for the day, and returned the next morning with rakes to rake the entire area with hopes the ring would pop up. With no luck, it was time for them to pack up and head back home. I asked him to mark the exact location on his cell phone, with the GPS feature on Google Maps, and send it to me with a picture of his ring, and I would head right there after work. I parked right by the boardwalk, grabbed my gear and headed out to the beach. I opened the location he sent and somehow it was right where I was standing on the beach just beyond the boardwalk. I figured I would follow the dog tracks, but with the wind blowing about 30 knots they were getting covered by the drifting sand. Kerry had mentioned that he was straight out, and roughly 50′ from the high tide line, which was a good thing. Once I got close to the water I was able to see the area they had been raking earlier that morning, without that mark I highly doubt I would have been able to find the spot. Another huge thing in their favor was that the  area was flat wet sand from from the prior high tide, and even though it had been raked quite a bit, didn’t blow flat, with the screaming south east wind. I turned on my machine, made one path around the perimeter, and on my return path Bingo!!! My machine gave off the sweet sound of success. A nice solid low tone, which I knew immediately was Kerry’s ring. Once back at my truck, I called his relatives phone hoping they were in town, but they were not. Then I called Kerry with the good news, and arranged to meet him at a later date to return his ring. another great recovery in the books.

Lost – Men’s Gold Cartier wedding band – Daytona Beach, FL – FOUND!!!

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

Mother’s Day was a perfect day and my wife, Myrna, and I topped it off with a bike ride to our community pool.  When we returned, I was putting away the bikes when I got the call from Yanaia.  She said that they were at the beach and lost a ring.  I could sense the distress in the tone of her voice.  I hopped into the car and headed her way.

When I arrived, the beach was packed, and Yan was waving me down.  I found out that her husband, Eddy, was the one who lost the ring…a heavy gold Cartier wedding band.  I thought to myself, “this should be easy!”

Eddy was standing in the middle of a tidal pool that was roughly 20ft in diameter.  He was holding a metal stick to mark where he thought he lost the ring, and his expression was very worried.

I fired up the Manticore and began the search.  I swepted over the middle spot of the tidal pool where it was obvious, they had been digging.  Nothing.  I expanded the search in a spiral outward until I had covered the entire tidal pool.  Nothing but a penny, a trash item, and a very small screw.

I began to grid off around the water and toward the beach, going into the surf somewhat.  I stopped and prayed.  This search should not be this difficult!  As I expanded toward the driving lanes, I got a great hit and suspected success.  I heard the tell-tale jangle in the scoop and saw gold!

As I handed the ring to Eddy, his expression changed in an instant from desperation to exuberance.  I was the recipient of hugs from Yanaia and Ariana.  Cheers from Jose, Joshua, and people all around!  The item that was lost was found.

Lost Tantalum Wedding Ring Found in NJ!

  • from Madison (New Jersey, United States)

Tantalum is a rare earth metal often used in men’s wedding rings. The metal reads very similar to iron on metal detectors and can be difficult to find in metal rich locations.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ, — A wedding ring was reunited with its owner in the woods in Central New Jersey today thanks to the Ringfinders Metal Detecting service.

This morning, I received a text from Rory who lost his ring in the woods while doing some yard work. The ring was made of rare earth metal, tantalum.

I arrived at the residence and listened to Rory’s description about how he lost the ring while doing yard work. The ring had been flung from the backyard into a wooded lot behind the residence.

Slowly the area was meticulously grid searched. Rory mentioned that he thought he heard the ring land perpendicular to the current search area.

As the search shifted to that area, a tone very similar to iron was detected in the leaves under a bush. As the leaves were cleared away, there lie the tantalum ring, 45 minutes into the search.

A tantalum ring is recovered after a 45 min search.

Rory was reunited shortly thereafter with the ring and was extremely grateful. Another successful recovery in central NJ for the Ringfinders team. Lose a ring in NJ? Give me a call – will travel anywhere in the state.

The tantalum ring’s owner, Rory receives his ring back.
