Lost Wedding Ring From Beach Chair at Huntington Beach, CA. .. Found with Metal Detector

Nathan and Jessica had driven 70 miles from Vista, CA. to spend Sunday at Huntington Beach, CA. They got there early giving them a chance to locate close to the pier where they could take advantage of the great surf conditions.

Nathan was careful to take his white gold wedding ring off placing it in the pocket of his beach chair. They finished their day and drove the two hours home before discovering that the ring was missing.

Now it was too late to return to the beach where they suspected the ring was lost in the sand. Jessica went in to action mode. She found my contact information online and called me.

Knowing it was impossible for them to meet me at the beach, we talked about what happened. Jessica gave me exact landmarks as to where they had been sitting on the beach 5 hours before. 4o feet north of lifeguard tower #6, lined up with the backside of the tower, there is a barrel type trash can, it should be about 10 feet to the right of the trash can.

I drove the eight miles found a parking place in the city beach parking lot ( not always an easy task). Grabbed my detector and sand scoop walked over to the location. Several people were watching as the beach still had people hanging out. I turned on my machine doing a short grid search. Boom! Great sound of gold in my earphones. Scooped the target and put it in my pocket.

I walked away from the towel line to take a better look at the ring and take photos. Then I called Jessica with the good news. They both work so we set up a meeting for the next Saturday where I was able to return their very special ring. We had an awesome visit where they told me how much this ring meant to them. It was definitely a pleasure to be able to help Jessica and Nathan find their ring.

Timing is important, call as soon as possible. Our suc rate is better if you can meet me at the location . If not able to meet at the location, try to get the best landmarks and /or photos help get to,the general area,

Lost Platinum Wedding Ring Set While Boogie Boarding .. Venice Beach, CA. .. Found at Low Tide

Marcos lives in San Francisco. He was in Venice Beach visiting his parents. While he was here they had a big get together with best friends, Lisa and her husband Aleks.

That after noon they spent at the beach where Lisa had the misfortune to lose both her platinum wedding ring and diamond engagement ring. She was riding the waves using a boogie board. Just as she finished riding a wave when the board tipped over and when she came up both rings had slipped off her fingers. Panic and their day had ended in tragically.

That evening Marcos found me through TheRingFinders website. He told me the story and I asked a few questions. There was a low tide near midnight but Venice Beach at that time isn’t the place to be out alone on the beach. We caught the next early morning low tide with Marcos giving great directions of where they were located.

I told Marcos that this could take some time. He was staying very close so I would call him if I find the rings.

Before a half hour passed I got the first good signal Boom! one platinum diamond engagement ring. Three feet away Boom! one platinum wedding band. In less than 18 hours they had already settled about 7 or 8 inches in this fine mushy sand.

Marcos met me on the beach taking photos of the rings to send to Lisa and Aleks. They immediately verified that these were their rings and I was able to talk to Lisa. It was great to hear such excitement as joy on the cellphone while standing on the beach where the rings were found.

Twenty years ago, I would have had to find a public pay phone that worked. To make that phone call.

The internet and all this new technology helped save these sentimental rings from being lost forever. Awesome!

Gold Ring Lost at Will Rodgers Polo Grounds .. Pacific Palisades, CA. .. Found After Two Months

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Sabastian called me asking what would be the possibility of me searching for a gold claddagh ring that was lost a month ago.

He and his friends play polo every Sunday at the Will Rodgers State Park Polo Grounds. His lady friend was tending the horses at a dirt parking lot near where they park the horse trailers. She had removed her Gold  Claddagh Ring ( gifted to her by her mother many years ago ) and clipped it to her key chain. Sometime during the day the ring came off the clip.

Every Sunday they looked through the 50ft. x 100ft. area hoping to see a glimpse of the gold in a thin layer of silty sand.

Sabastian and I took about 3 weeks to set up a meeting date. He had to get permission from the State Parks supervisor. It’s illegal to dig in a historical site and the have a resident archeologist on site. After meeting with the supervisor and explaining how I was just scratching the surface for a specific gold tone and ID number.

They gave permission for me to search that dirt parking lot. Then they sent a park ranger in a vehicle to watch over us. It sure made me feel privileged to get permission.

Sabastian marked of the search area and I asked him which side would be best to start. I was ready for a couple hours of grid searching. My first couple low tone targets were pull tabs. Then I got another nice tone and bent over with a screwdriver like probe to scrape the surface. Boom! The small gold ring just popped of the loose sand shining in the sunlight. It really surprised me and Sabastian got very emotional as he was standing right there when it showed up from its hiding place. I was happy that we started at the best possible side of the location or else it would have been a long hot search.

The Park Ranger and Sabastian told me they had really no hope of us finding the ring after all the time that had passed. It’s times like this that remind me why I say, “ I Will Try Anywhere “

We had a great visit on the polo field and Sabastian invited me to come see a polo match whenever I wanted to. I love doing this ring finding, especially meeting people like Sabastian. He truly wanted to help his friend find her special ring.

Electronic Car Key and House Keys Lost at Playa Del Rey Beach…Found and Returned.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, don’t wait, time will work against you, please call as soon as possible. 310-953-5268

I received a desperate call from David. He had gone to the beach for the day, and when he decided to go in the water, he buried his keys in the sand so no one could find them. The problem was that when he was ready to leave, he moved his towel, and then forgot where the keys had been buried. He called his father who found me on the Ring Finders site, and told his son to give me a call. I told him I would come right away.

When I arrived David and I found each other, and he took me to the spot where he had been during the day. He showed me where he had been, and I could see where he had been digging in the sand, so that is where I began my search. The keys were not in that area, so I began to expand the search. I was finding a few metal items such as bottle caps and foil, but not the key. I continued working back away from his original spot, and then all of a sudden a real nice signal in the headphones. I scooped, and there were his keys, about 15 feet from where he thought they were. I was glad to have been able to help him out.

Don’t let the County beach cleaning machines take your lost valuable, call immediately! I will work hard, using the most up to date metal detectors, to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search in the sand, in the grass, dirt, or in the water, Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Northridge, Pasadena, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, Zuma Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Young Girl Lost Her First Ring in the Sand .. Newport Beach, CA. .. Found

Paula, her husband and her daughter Nisa were at Little Corona DelMar Beach which is located in Newport Beach, CA. Nisa put her small very special ring in her shoe while they were playing in the ocean. When they were leaving she carried her belongings to the showers about 50 yards up the walkway ramp. That’s were Nisa remembered to get the ring from the shoe. No Ring in the shoe.

They were in the car on the way home when Nisa’s mother, Paula called me. I told them I could meet them there in 20 minutes. We walked down to the small beach and I set up my detector 30 ft. from the area Paula was pointing out as the most likely place for the loss to happen. I did a few practice swings before walking over the spot. Guess, what ? The ring was right where I set up my practice swings.

A happy family that found TheRingFinders service and came back to the beach to help their little girl find a most cherished little silver ring. Check out that smile.

Lost ring at Coronado, Found.

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Reason #2. Oh, you need more info? Ok, Neil was visiting here in town and spent the day at the Beach in Coronado sitting in the sand in front of the Hotel Del Coronado. He placed his platinum wedding band into the beach chair pocket for “safekeeping”. I know, those chairs should come with a jewelry safety warning on them! Later, when he was ready to leave, he folded up the chair and headed out. When he realized that his ring was no longer in the pocket, it was too late. The beach had swallowed it. An internet search and TheRingFinders.com popped up. He texted me at 5:45am just as I arrived home from an all night detecting hunt. Still sandy and a bit tired, I knew we needed to jump on this search right away if we had any chance to find it before someone else did, so I told  him I’d be right over. I picked him up at his hotel and headed down to the search area. We walked out to where he was camped, he circled a bit, and declared this was about the spot. I made a couple of short passes and after not much more than a minute, I got that “great” pulltab/gold/platinum reading of 12-15 on my Etrac. Poked the pin pointer into the sand and pulled out Neil’s ring. A much happier ending to his visit to San Diego than it could have been. A pleasure to meet you Neil, and thank you for the generous reward.

P.S. For future reference, reason number 1 is: “I removed my rings to apply skin lotion, put them on my lap/the blanket, and forgot them.”

Lost Wedding Ring in Sand at Bolsa Chica State Beach, CA. .. Found Next Day

Ali’s family was spending a week at Bolsa Chica State Beach RV camp grounds. A vacation that they have been looking forward towards after making reservations over a year ago.

They had only been there for a couple days when Ali was given her husbands’s white gold wedding band to hold onto while he went swimming in the ocean. Ali put the ring into the pocket of her beach chair and the rest of the story is the same as many other ring losses that I’ve had this year. I’m calling this “ The Year of The Beach Chair Ring Losses”

The next day Ali called me asking for help. She felt guilty for not remembering that the ring was in her beach chair and it fell into the sand when she picked up the chair. I told her how often that this happened and that our chances of finding it were good. She showed me the location and after the first three grid passes I had the ring in my scoop. She wasn’t watching, so I walked up to her asking what the ring looked like. As she answered, I held up the ring.

A look of relief followed by a genuine thank you. She was one happy lady and very grateful to have found this service and now they can continue their vacation on a happier note. I love being able to have the time and experience to help people like Ali.

Lost Ring in Sand at Laguna Beach,CA. .. Found and Returned

Rylan called asking help to find his silver ring that he had lost in the sand at Cresent Bay, Laguna Beach, CA. He had dropped it in the dry sand the night before and was on the beach trying to find it this morning.

Rylan told me what had happened. Then,  I asked him if it was possible for him to stay at the location till I could meet him. I only needed him for a couple minutes to get the general location. He had to be to work at 11:00 am which worked out well because I was only 20 minutes away.

When I got to the beach Rylan was standing at the spot where he thought the loss happened. I sent him on his way to work, telling him I would call him when I found the silver ring. Very important to Rylan as it was a gift from his girlfriend. It didn’t take long to find his ring, but it sometimes can go the other way when people aren’t sure when the ring was lost.

I was able to drop by Rylan’s work place to deliver his ring. It was just a few miles from where I live. You can see the smile on his face in the photo I took when we met before 12:00 pm.

Lost Silver Ring in Garden .. Los Angeles, CA. .. Found and Returned

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

I went on a ring call to a monastery in the hills of Los Angeles, CA. I was there to help Dave find a small silver ring that his mother in India have given him. Dave had been walking down a corridor when put his hands through his hair bringing his hands down to his side, he felt his ring slip from his finger. He heard it hit the cement one time possibly going in the lawn or some landscaping with woodchip ground cover.

It was a small area and should have been an easy search. After an hour searching with my small coil on my metal detector in all the obvious areas with no success, I brought out the trusty hand held detector which we call a pinpointer. I went down to my hands and knees to search through the plants, crevices and potted planters.

It was getting frustrating because it was such a small area. I was running out places to search. Could the ring have rolled much further than we thought? As last resort I double checked the small plants in the garden. Yes, the third time is a charm. The small silver ring was lying right at the base of a small shrub. It may have been in the leaves of the shrub or I could have missed it the other two times with my detectors.

This was a very sentimental ring for Dave and I was happy to be able help him find it.

Lost Wedding Ring While Swimming at Huntington Harbour – Huntington Beach, CA.

David lost his wedding ring while swimming at Humbolt Beach a small inter bay beach in Huntington Harbour, Huntington Beach, CA. He posted his problem in the Huntington Beach Community Forum where someone suggested he try contacting me.

After discussing his loss,  David said he could meet me that morning to show me the general location where he felt the ring come off his finger. I just needed him to point me in the right direction then he could leave to do the errands he had planned that day.

When I arrived there was already a guy detecting in the water. Evidently he had read the lost ring story in the Facebook community forum? I waited for him to get to the other end of the 75 yard wide beach. Then I went into four feet of water and dug two bottle caps. The third target was David’s Tungsten Carbide Wedding ring. I walked out of the water to my car, where I called David making arrangements to meet him a couple miles away.

I’m not sure if the other detector guy found what he was looking for?
