*** Viviana was with her family at Newport Beach at vacation rental on the beach front. The second day of their stay, she got up early put on her favorite necklace and went straight out over the sand to look at the waves. It was probably somewhere close to a 40 yard run across the sand. After a few minutes of watching the waves and sunrise, she went back to the house to eat breakfast.

Inside the house she realized her favorite necklace and pendant was not on he neck. A search of the house was un successful. The necklace had to be in the sand. Her grandfather, Steve decided to get a metal detector to help her find her cherished piece of jewelry. He happen to find my contact information while scrolling through the internet to get a metal detector.

When I arrived, it was less than a couple hours since the loss occurred. Viviana showed me the straight path she ran out to look at the waves. Her foot prints were still visible. It didn’t take long to grid search that area and the necklace was not found. I gave her the bad news as she saw me walking back to were I started the grid. I gave her ideas how to check the inside of the house as I approached the patio gate. Then, next to the step into the sand, I got a signal. BOOM! It was Viviana’s Necklace. I believe she was standing there when I started the grid search as she described her path to view the waves..

Lost Wedding Ring found Saratoga Springs, NY

  • from Saratoga Springs (New York, United States)
Contact:

I received a call from Jimmy who had lost his wedding ring at dusk while walking the dog in his backyard.  I arrived at his house the next day. He said he had searched all over for it but was unable to find it. After asking him multiple questions, he lead me to the area where he thought he lost it. I thought that this would be fairly easy as it had to be on top and he owned a new modern house, but after listening to the ground for a few minutes I knew that something was not right as there were hundreds of  signals…all in the gold range. He revealed to me that there used to be a mechanic shop of some kind right there.  Suddenly things were not so easy. I combed the area for over an hour closely watching the depth meter.  I was beginning to really wonder if I could find this ring, but I had told him I would not give up.  Finally I got the shallow signal I was waiting for.   I combed through the grass with my hands, and there it was already settling into the roots, completely invisible to the eye.  Jimmy was thrilled as was I. What a relief!  A happy ending all round.

Found May 20th, 2023.

Newlywed Bailey was fishing from his grandmother’s dock. He shook off some weeds from his fingers and his wedding ring flew off. When the ring came off, Bailey saw in slow motion how it flew into the water. The family searched near the dock to no avail. Bailey’s mother Susan contacted me and asked for my help. It would be a couple of weeks before I could arrange my schedule for a search. But I knew the ring was not going anywhere.

The Search Area

Getting Ready

My son and I arrived at the lovely lakefront home and assessed how to conduct the search. My son helped me that day by hauling equipment, advising, and acting as my safety diver. At first, we tried searching in the four to five feet deep water using an Equinox 900 and a scoop. After twenty minutes, it became apparent there were an incredible amount of metal targets. When I asked Bailey’s dad why there was so much metal, he explained that many years ago, there may have been an old boat sunk and dismantled near the dock. Although the visibility was very poor in the shallow water, I decided to SCUBA dive. This allowed me to work around branches, rocks, and pinpoint shallow targets faster. Every target I found in the white gold identification range had to be investigated. It was a slow four hours for everyone on the dock, but I finally found the ring!

Bailey Smiles

It was gratifying to hand the ring to Bailey. My son captured the moment when Bailey was handed what he had thought was lost forever.

For my Ringfinder friends, this white gold ring hit at a solid 22 VDI on the Equinox 900.

In Las Vegas, a Special Tiffany Diamond Earring was recovered

  • from Las Vegas (Nevada, United States)
Contact:

Received a very upset caller about a lost earring at an orchard north of Las Vegas. She and her husband had searched for hours. Her husband even purchased a metal detector prior to calling me. I told her I will bring two detectors, and will set it up,  so he can help find the earring. It was a special earring. It was given to her as her first Mothers Day gift. So there was a lot of  emotion connected to it. She had called another ringfinder prior to calling me, and he was not very encouraging about finding it. So out of frustration, her husband purchased a detector and was going to look himself. She had fallen, and that was where they thought it might have been lost. It was rocky soil next to the entrance to the parking lot for the orchard. I took my XP Deus 1 with HF coil, Bumped it up to 74 kHz since it was small. Hit it in about 15 minutes. It was not visible since it had been covered up with dirt. Interesting that it didn’t come in loud or consistent in lower frequencies. 74 kHz was the killer. Couldn’t use the Goldfield program because of all the other signals. was able to notch out a lot of trash.

Eric called having lost his wedding ring the day before, hoping I would be able to find it for him. When he told me the beach he had lost it at, I told him that this was one of the cleanest beaches in the Southern California area because the county cleans the beach daily with very good machines. I could tell he needed closure, and we agreed to meet that day.

When I got there Eric met me and we walked out to the area he believed he lost the ring. As we walked out the sand was smooth as could be from the machines going over the sand that morning which wasn’t a good sign. We got to the spot which was near the slope to the water, and there was a strip of about 1 to 2 feet of sand that was untouched by the machine. I began my search in the area he showed me which was smooth, but worked the untouched area as well. Low and behold, in that small section of untouched sand I found Eric’s ring. I be honest, it surprised the both of us. What a happy reunion.

Sandy contacted me about a lost ring. Her friend was visiting from overseas, and while in the yard, he lost his ring in the thick grass. He had gotten the ring when he visited North Africa, so it had special meaning to him. I arranged with Sandy for a time to come and do the search.

When I got to the house, Sandy came out, and took me to the back yard. She explained what happened to make the ring come off, and gave me a general area of where to search. It was a nice area with no trash metal in the grass, so I figured the when I received a signal, I would have found the ring. I went about 20 feet, pass after pass with silence, and then the detector sounded off. I pulled out the pin pointer, and found the ring quickly. I walked over and showed Sandy, and she said that her friend would be very happy to have it back. Another success story!

Found Ring – Ambler, Pa

  • from Ambler (Pennsylvania, United States)

We received a text from Ali Behr last Sunday evening to say that her husband Colin had lost his ring earlier that day and could we help.  But of course, and we met them the next morning at 9:30 behind their house.  Colin informed us that he was disposing of rotting pumpkins back in the woods for the deer to eat and showed us exactly where he thought the ring had fallen off.  He barely made it back to the house when we located said ring.  Another satisfied customer of the AMDC.

Pacific Beach Metal Detector delivery provider locates lost diamond gold ring

The Ring Finders Metal detecting service helped find a lost diamond gold wedding ring at Pacific beach San Diego California. Call Curtis Cox 760 889

One recent Sunday in October 2023, I received an urgent text message asking if I could help find a Lost wedding band with my metal detector. After a few questions and concerns I assured them I would be willing to drive there ASAP to scan over the areas they believe it was lost at.  Aman & Prabhneet were both heading back to Arizona from vacation and was not able meet.

I arrived to the scene of the lost ring with my Pulse induction metal detector that in my opinion is the best machine for finding men’s lost gold rings on the beach to date. I also have V.L.F & Frequency detectors for other types of jewelry searches if needed but this particular P.I machine has over 11 yrs of actual time on California beaches,Has never let me down nor has ever been sent back to the factory for repairs/replacement.

So off I went grid searching every inch of the wet sand while the tide went out. From the description of where it may of been lost I started to loose hope…I’ve already exhausted the possible areas to scan after just an hour. There were a few targets that were buried deep down but No rings. I stopped to take a break and think about expanding the hunt one direction or another.

Not to be over Confident in my machine & grid searches,,,There is always that question if I could of missed it while gridding North to south,On the swing,On the overlap,On the turn around Etc…So many variables at hand. Often times us Ring finder guys resort to cross gridding meaning Re-scanning the area AGAIN which will take another HOUR!!

While the sun was setting and Luck thinning,,

I decided to scan the top edge of the wet slope where beach goers were leaving then soon after into it I got a perfect sounding signal on my Metal detector..One that matches a nickel/Beaver Tail or Gold ring?? ….After digging two scoops or 5-8” Down Is when…

I miraculously unearthed Aman’s precious diamond wedding ring:).  This was very exciting  just for me alone so I had sent a pic of the ring to them right away. You can only imagine how Amazed yet relieved they were:) The very next morning I mailed it off to their residence which only took a couple days before he had his long lost Gold ring back on his hand.

On Thanksgiving Day Tessa and her family were enjoying some fun and games in the backyard when her ring went flying! Here is the account in Tessa’s own words. “On Thanksgiving Day I lost my engagement ring in my aunt’s backyard while playing corn hole with my fiancee. Before I knew it my engagement ring flew off my finger. I originally thought it would be a matter of me looking around where we were playing and I would find it, but hours passed and even with the help of my family and neighbors we couldn’t find my ring. The sun was going down and we even borrowed a metal detector from a friend and scoured the backyard. After hours of searching, nothing but bottle caps had turned up. We decided to start again when the sun came up the next day. We were hopeless and devastated. A family member said to me that there are professionals who can help you find a lost ring. I wasn’t sure where to start but I knew it was worth a shot. First thing the next morning I did a Google search to try to find a solution. I searched “Metal detector service Orlando”. With it being the day after Thanksgiving I wasn’t sure if I would have much luck. I came across Mike McInroe of Theringfinders. Reading testimonials of other searches Mike completed made it seem to me that I had found the person who could help.

I called Mike’s cell and he made it to my aunts house within an hour and a half! He asked me to tell him exactly what I was doing and where I was when it happened. He scanned the area and found my ring IN FIVE MINUTES! My family looked on in disbelief! My lost ring had been found! I felt myself get emotional and asked Mike if I could hug him. Before I knew it my aunt and mom were both hugging him as well! Even my uncle started tearing up–we were just overwhelmed with so many emotions at once. But most of all, pure happiness! Mike was nothing short of heaven sent. Our family cannot thank him enough for his services. If you have lost something that means something to you don’t despair, give Mike a call”. Tessa.

What an honor and privilege it has been to help Tessa and her family. I thank God for allowing my the opportunity to help them and to give us all one more thing to be thankful for during this Thanksgiving season!

Ring Found in Loveland CO after 2 years

  • from Fort Collins (Colorado, United States)

I was contacted by Ric about his ring that was lost 2 year ago. He wondered if  it was still possible to locate the ring. He told me that it was lost on private property and I replied that it was very likely that it could be recovered.

Ric, along with his wife Mary and I met at the farm. They did not own the property any longer but had been granted permission to search by the new owner. They told me that they had matching rings and it would be wonderful if we could find Ric’s ring. The area was a garden when they owned the property but had not been used lately and was somewhat overgrown with weeds. Ric was cautiously optimistic but Mary didn’t think there was much of a chance of success.

I broke the old garden into quarters and began a grid search of each one. The day was warming up and we had been searching for well over an hour when I had started into the last quarter.  Ric’s optimism was beginning to wane but I assured them both that it wasn’t over yet. A short time later I got a strong hit from a target at 2 inches in depth. With my small spade I dug down and came up with Ric’s gold ring. It always amazes me how gold can be buried for years and still come out so shinny. Ric and Mary were overwhelmed with joy at the successful recovery.  We all smiled and hugged, took some pictures and walked back to the truck where we shared our success with the land owner.

We said our goodbyes and I left knowing  that I had helped to give them a good memory to share and had put a smile on their faces.
