Man’s Gold Wedding Band Found in his Yard – Conway SC
This morning, Apr 20th, I woke up to a text from Scott saying, “Good morning, sir, my name is Scott. I live in Conway. Yesterday I lost my wedding ring I think in my lawn. My issue is we’re leaving to Connecticut for a week on Monday. Are u able to come today or tomorrow to look for it? Thank you.” I called him and got some additional details and told him I’d be there around noon.
I arrived shortly before noon and found Scott and his wife, Kim sitting outside watching over some of their garage sale items for the neighborhood garage sale. We introduced ourselves and I ask Scott to tell and show me what had happened. He said that he had gotten the car washed and was in the process of drying the car down with a towel. There were a few times that he was shaking out the towel in the yard. It wasn’t until he finished that he noticed his ring was gone. He and Kim had looked through the grass the night before with no luck. I turned on my Equinox 800 and started detecting alongside his driveway and out into the grass. After my first grid line, I moved out to the grass area running between the sidewalk and the street. About 3 swings and I got a solid 16 on the VDI. After moving some grass around, I saw Scott’s wedding band laying snugly in its hiding place. I grabbed it and held it up saying “Got it!” Both Scott and Kim were smiling from ear to ear. I asked Kim how they found me, and she said she had posted that Scott had lost his ring on Face Book. She also said that a friend had seen her post and steered her towards The Ring Finders.
Scott and Kim – Thank you for trusting me to help find your lost treasure.
Jim

Metal Detecting Service -Lost Earring – Found! Pittsburgh PA
Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA. Why rent a metal detector when you can get a trained operator with top of the line equipment at the same time…
I received a text from Josh that his wife had lost a very special stud earring in their backyard. She had been outside holding a child when the earring was dislodged from her ear. I told him that I would be more than happy to come out and look for it.
I was a bit nervous as I had only been out searching for an earring once before and struck out. Everyone says earrings and small chains are pretty difficult. I arrived and Josh showed me the area. He had got a detector and searched himself to no avail. I got started and almost immediately I got a good sound even though it was a bit sketchy. I took out my pinpointer and there hidden in the grass was the earring. I think I was almost as surprised as Josh at how quickly things worked out. It was a nice recovery and as alway it was good to meet another kind and generous client!

*** Kiana was at a park in Burbank, CA. which is a City in Los Angeles, CA. Her vintage gold ring came off her finger in a local park near her home. She felt it come off, so she knew the general area of the loss. Two hours of searching the grass was unsuccessful.
She contacted me after finding me online. I made the drive to Burbank to meet her at the park. We had to locate this before the lawnmower found it first. I wasn’t sure how heavy the ring was but I was sure it had to be within a 50ft. radius of where she had been standing.
Within about 15 minutes I found the ring in a large clump of grass. It was much larger than I thought it to be. Amazing that it found one of the only large clumps of grass to hide in. I’m sure it could have easily been spotted visually anywhere else in the area. Anyway Kiana was very happy and relieved that she had it back. Her husband, John also met me, telling me he spent another 2 hours searching the same location on his hands and knees.
If you need help or just want to ask how this serve works .. call now, I will answer any questions you have.. Stan 949-500-2136

Lost Diamond Stud Earring Recovered! Found in Phoenix, Maryland!
Sometimes I go months before I receive a call or email regarding a lost item. Not lately! My 3rd call out AND recovery in less than 2 weeks! I received a text from Alexander regarding a lost Diamond stud earring several days ago. He said his wife was out in the yard with their 1-year-old when she felt the earring come out while holding the infant. Unfortunately, the next several days were very rainy, but luckily the earring was not going anywhere being in their back yard. I was eventually able to make it out and met Lauren, Alexander’s wife, who quickly gave me the low down on exactly how it became dislodged and where she thought it might be. I asked her to please let me scan the mate to her lost item and she quickly presented the other earring. Stud earrings are VERY hard to find as there is very little gold(metal) for a detector to get a clean signal on. Luckily, I have found one in the past. With that knowledge and being “one” with my detector, I started to get my equipment tuned in. At that time, Lauren informed me she had to get back inside with her child. By the time I was ready to start my search, she was already in the house, so I began my search in the area she believed to be the “ground zero”. To my surprise, I detected a weak/broken signal similar to the one I heard when I scanned Lauren’s other earring. Upon moving my detector coil out of the way……..

…….BOOM! Can you see it in the picture? It is not easy to locate even knowing it is right there! I quickly picked it up and snapped a few pics before calling Lauren to come on out……..

I had only been there searching for about 5 minutes! When Lauren came out, I told her that I had to leave. She looked at me a little strange and before she could say anything, I told her “My work here is done”! She was beside herself and at first as I think she believed I was joking, but the smile on her face proves otherwise!

There were many factors that came into play to make this a successful recovery. Lauren starting me off in the correct area of the yard being one of the main ones. Her attention to detail at the time of the crisis was amazing. Getting in touch with my as quickly as possible along with my high-quality equipment and decades of experience didn’t hurt either! Oh, and never discount a little bit of luck!
Lost White Gold Diamonds & Sapphires Engagement Ring at Waialae Beach…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a call from Taylor from Salt Lake City, Utah. While preparing a wedding proposal sight at Waialae Beach for her friends, Scott & Maren, the Crystal Carriage that was holding the White Gold Diamonds and Sapphires Engagement Ring opened and the ring popped out, fell into the sand and disappeared. They searched everywhere but the ring could not be found. She did a google search and found my contact information. This beach is only five minutes away so I told Taylor to stop hunting, hold tight, I’d grab my gear and be right there. There was zero parking when I arrived but after a quick ride around the country club parking lot a space opened up on the beach. Taylor was waiting in the parking lot and escorted me down to the area the ring was lost. There was a 20 foot by 20 foot box in the sand with many piles of sand where they had been searching for the ring. I fired up the “Beast” and started a grid search. On the second leg I got a nice #12/14 tone and it actually took a few gentle scoops to recover the stunning engagement ring. Taylor was surely relieved and gave me a hug. The proposal may have been hampered a bit but finding the ring surely was a relief for everyone as an applause rang out on the beach. Aloha to Scott & Maren and of course Taylor!

*** While metal detecting in the surf at Balboa Beach, I found a super small gold pendant that had two red garnet gem stones in settings. MIt was unique and for some reason it seemed familiar.
Later that night I went to my lost jewelry photo album, where I saw that this was lost 4 months ago along with 2 other items from a young lady’s necklace. I’m glad I keep photos given to me by people who have ask for help finding their lost items. I did find a small gold ring during the first search.
Next I had to find the contact information, so I could return it. Checked my texts and was able to contact WC who was shocked to get this unexpected good news. She lives quite a distance from me, so I mailed her the pendant. She agreed to send me a photo after receiving it.. This is not the first time I was able to find a keepsake lost months after the first search.. The ocean surf is unpredictable, moving sand and objects in and out with each tide change.
Types of searches .. Beaches, Parks, Yards and Water to 20ft …. I will try anywhere. If item is lost in a public place call or text ASAP.. 24/7 ..Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136
Wedding Ring Lost In The Lagoon, Lavallette NJ, recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

I received a call from Derek about the possibilities of recovering his ring from a very wide lagoon. He explained exactly what had happened, and he knew right when the ring came off his finger. Water recoveries are extremely challenging to begin with, but add in the fact he and his buddies were racing to the other side and back, and this one becomes almost impossible. Well, as the conversation continues, I discover Derek had quite a bit of pertinent information which is needed to even consider this recovery. I asked him to supply me with everything he had, which included many pictures, and probably the deciding factor to move forward with this recovery, was the video of them racing to the other side. That was the spot where the ring had come off. I asked him to give me a few days to review everything, which he agreed to, as the ring was not going anywhere . After looking at all the information given I called Derek and explained this would be extremely complicated, but as long as he was positive the ring came off right when he stopped swimming , we should definitely give it a try. We cleared it with the homeowner, and set up the date to do the recovery. Once there a bouy was dropped just past precise location, and a guide line was placed on the bottom and secured back at the dock. With near zero visibility, on the 3rd pass back, we got a promising hit just before the bouy. After fanning the target a bit, you could just make out the ring. This all happened in roughly 55 min from start to finish.Had there not been the pictures and video his ring would still be on the bottom of the bay/lagoon. Huge shout out to Buzz, couldn’t have done this one without you.

Lost Sentimental Gold Ring at Kualoa Regional Park Beach…FOUND!!!

This ring find began on 11 March when I got a text from Chante asking my availability to hunt for her boy friend Joshua’s Sentimental Gold ring at Kualoa Regional Park Beach. While seated at the water’s edge the ring slipped off and disappeared. We agreed to go the next day. They picked me up at home as it was along the way and we took one car to the beach. When we arrived Joshua took me to the location and demonstrated what happened. The surf was up and the water was murky. I noticed right off there was plenty of coral and rubble so the hunt was going to be difficult. I only dug shallow targets and there were many as the beach is rather trashy with pull tabs and aluminum metal pieces. After about and hour and a half I didn’t find Joshua’s ring but popped out two others. It was getting dark and I told told Joshua I’d return on a low tide with clearer water to see if some of the targets I couldn’t dig in the coral might be his ring. I went this past Saturday morning but no luck. Then I returned yesterday afternoon and the conditions were perfect. I was detecting the low tide mark and got a nice hit on the Manticore. The target was in the coral rubble and I was able to get a good bite with my Extreme scoop. On the second dig the target was in my scoop and when I peered into the scoop I could see some shiny gold amongst the coral rubble. I reached in and as I grabbed the ring and turned it over the black “K” came into view and I knew it was Joshua’s. I went back to my car and texted Chante a pic with “Found it!” She agreed to meet me at home that evening and she would surprise Joshua with the ring he thought was lost to the “Aina”. The video she sent me of the ring reunion was awesome. The smile on Joshua’s face was ear to ear. Much Aloha to Chante & Joshua!
