Lost Ring Found and Returned Seagull Beach Yarmouth, MA

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

June 22, 2025

Nick and family were enjoying the sandy beach and the start of a heat wave on sunny Cape Cod when Nick had the need to wash his hands. A quick run to the water’s edge and a few swishes in the water left his hand clean, smooth and without his wedding band. The surf was churning the seashells in a motion that washed his ring and shells together. Nick lost sight of the ring and all the searching did not reveal its location. A sleepless night followed and the morning’s question was: What to do now?

A suggestion to rent a metal detector, a Google search for a dealer revealed the name and phone number for J&E Enterprise. The call from Cassandra was answered by Eleanor, the owner, who strongly suggested that she call a RingFinder – Richard as he would be their best way to recover the ring.

A half an hour after the call came in, I was on the beach ready for the recovery. I was assured that the ring was lost right where the sea shells covered a strip of sand. After searching the suggested area I realized the ring was lost at low tide, not at the high tide line where the day’s shell line lay. The tide would have been lower so I moved my search to the low tide line of shells. My first two signals were too deep, the third was a target I had to dig. Yes, it was in my scoop. I left it in the scoop and Cassandra was brave enough to move the shells in the scoop and retrieve Nick’s wedding band.

I believe I saw tears of joy and great emotions as Cassandra placed the ring back on Nick’s finger. I just love my hobby at moments like that! Then I was told of another loss of 2 rings, I found out that the loss happened four years ago. Well, on a public beach, I had to agree that the rings were long gone. That is why time if of the essence to start searching for a lost item. I left leaving a suggestion, should another “loss” occur. That was to drop a few coins, pull tabs, anything metal in the area the “loss” happened. That would make the search for the correct area be easier to located a day or so later.

The only thing left was to wish everyone, the best and to enjoy the remaining time on vacation, leave the jewelry at home or wear a silicone ring as a “Keeper” so a sentimental ring will not slip off one’s finger.

A Special Ring Lost and Found, Buffalo NY

  • from Toronto (Ontario, Canada)

Last week, I had the opportunity to help someone in Buffalo, NY recover a ring that meant the world to him. It’s always a great feeling when you can return something that carries not just monetary value, but deep sentimental meaning and this recovery was exactly that.

The story began in a quiet backyard on the outskirts of Buffalo. The homeowner, a kind gentleman, had been out gardening, enjoying the early summer weather. He was pulling weeds, tending to the flower beds, and working with his hands in the dirt when unbeknownst to him his cherished ring slipped off his finger. It wasn’t until later that day, after washing up, that he realized it was gone.

Understandably, panic set in. The ring had sentimental value, and losing it felt like losing a part of his personal story. His wife sprang into action right away. She picked up a metal detector from a local tool store, determined to find the ring herself. Despite her best efforts, and several hours spent scanning the yard, the elusive ring stayed hidden.

Frustrated but not ready to give up, she turned to Google and that’s where she found The Ring Finders, a global directory of metal detecting specialists who help recover lost items. She reached out, and that’s where I came into the picture.

When I arrived at their home, I could see the hope in their eyes mixed with a bit of skepticism. The backyard wasn’t overly large, but there were garden beds, mulch, and grassy patches—plenty of places where a ring could easily disappear from sight.

After getting the details of exactly where he had been working, I started sweeping the area with my detector. It didn’t take long before I heard a promising signal just at the edge of the property near the fence. I carefully checked the thick grass and sure enough, there it was—his ring, nestled just below the surface.

The moment I held it up and saw the relief and joy on his face—that’s the reason I do this. He was speechless for a moment, then simply said, “I didn’t think I’d ever see that again.”

Every ring has a story, and being able to help someone continue theirs is what makes these recoveries so rewarding. If you’ve lost something important, don’t lose hope—sometimes, all it takes is the right tools and a little help from someone .

Find a Lost Engagement Ring in Cedar Beach, Gilgo New York 💍🙏

  • from Orchard Beach (New York, United States)

ANOTHER ONE BACK WHERE IT BELONGS! 💍🙏

If you lost jewelry or valuables – call me right away! 646-235-8797

Last night, I got that call every metal detectorist loves… but every newly engaged couple dreads. Osman told me his wife’s beautiful gold & diamond engagement ring — yeah, the real deal — slipped right off her finger thanks to a sneaky wave at Cedar Beach, Gilgo NY. The ring was a little loose… the ocean? Definitely not. 🌊💨

They were completely panicked. His words? “We couldn’t even think straight anymore.”

So today, your boy rolled out to Cedar Beach. I timed it just right to hit low tide around 3PM. Got there at 1:45… said a quiet little prayer on the way… and got to work.

Two hours. Two hours of fighting waves, getting tossed around like I was in a washing machine, sand in places sand shouldn’t be… I was about ready to throw in the towel (literally). But then I remembered — just because it was lost in the water, doesn’t mean it stayed in the water.

So I moved up the beach, closer to the ‘swash zone’… and then finally… BEEP! Music to my ears. Dug down about 4 inches, sifted through the sand… and there it was — that beautiful gold diamond ring, safe and sound, ready to go home.

Osman’s giving it back to his fiancée tonight… and he thinks this moment might even top the day he proposed. After all… it was “lost forever”… but now it’s back.

Massive thanks to the Big Guy upstairs for letting me be the one to find it. 🙏

Lost your ring? You know where to find me.

Platinum Wedding Band Lost While Cutting Yard-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Kevin had contacted me and said he had lost his wedding band in the yard while cutting the grass. They had looked for it for a couple of days but the weeds in that area were quite tall and finding a ring visually was out of the question. I found the ring in an area where the weeds were around eight inches tall. Total search time was around an hour.

Gold Wedding Band Lost Right After Wedding-Found!

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

Linsey called me and said they had held a wedding venue in their yard for their daughter and son-in-law. Her yard was quite large and her son-in-law had lost his ring right after the wedding. She had purchased a metal detector but struck out.  Because of the size of the yard I set up a grid search and it took me all of two hours before I found it. Her daughter and son-in-law were out of town at the time.

Diamond Ring Lost While Swimming…Found!

On the 18th of June Corrine lost her diamond ring while taking a swim test at a local lake.  She spent plenty of time searching the bottom for the missing ring with no luck.  At some point in the panic of the moment she entered the situation into ChatGPT on her phone.  This resulted in providing a link to THERINGFINDERS.COM and directly to me.

As it happened, I had two constraints to providing immediate support.  First, I was out of town with the family visiting relatives.  The second issue was that my Equinox 800 was still awaiting a new control box after damages accrued while providing support on a dive recovery.  I would also need to reach out to the local parks department for permission to enter the water with a metal detector.

A few days later, these constraints had worked their way out and we scheduled the search.  I would be teaming up with Mark (a member of the MDMDC) and Evan (scuba diver) would be tagging along for support as well.  Members of the parks department would escort our small team to the lake shore to prepare and within minutes of entering the water…We Made The Recovery!!!

The ring was successfully recovered in 3 feet of water in the precise location Corrine said it would be.  It was as easy as they come and all parties were ecstatic for a speedy success.  I can’t thank everyone involved enough for playing their part in getting this diamond ring back to it’s rightful owner.  Thank you very kindly.

Diamond Ring Lost for 7 Months Near Cottonwood Heights, Utah- Found

I received a call from Sara about her lost diamond wedding ring. Apparently her daughter was playing dress up in the front yard and asked to borrow it. Shortly after coming into the house she told Sara that she had lost it outside. For 6-7 months they search the yard for it and in desperation to find it, she called me. I went over to her house with my son and after getting the rough area to search, went to work. My first signal was a high tone from a brass sprinkler head. At the end of my first pass, I got a nice 8-11 on my detector that was pretty close to the surface. After pulling back the grass a little bit, I could make out the edge of something. Sure enough it was her ring that had been lost for nearly 7 months. The whole experience was under 5 minutes and she was sure excited to see her ring again! RJ and his friend were enjoying an evening of relaxing, watching TV and later in the evening he noticed his gold chain on the floor and his gold pendent had disappeared. This pendant is very special as it was gifted to him by his parents when he was 16 years old and he wears it ALL the time. They tried searching everywhere…inside and outside…for a couple of hours and that is when RJ went online to search for a metal detecting service for some professional help. It was a Sunday and Fathers Day to boot and we were just finishing up our lunch when he called. My dear wife and I made the drive and as we were driving up to the house we prayed that God would help us find RJ’s pendant and that we would be a blessing to him and his family. So after hearing RJ’s story I decided to search the outside grassy area first as the sky was getting dark and thunder was rumbling off in the distance. RJ had indicated a 30 foot area on the grass where they had spent some time and I set out my markers and cleared that area rather quickly and I then decided to expand another 30 feet radius and it didn’t take long and there laying in the gras, shining in the hot afternoon Florida sun was RJ’s lost gold pendant! RJ and his wife were ecstatic! We talked and visited for an hour or so and as we headed home we prayed again and thanked God for directing us and using us to help and bless RJ and his dear wife and kids!

How can I help you? Call or text me ASAP at 321-363-6029 and let’s talk!
