Received a call from Joes cousin Nicole. Nicole explained that her cousin Joe had just lost his ring in the surf while enjoying the ocean with the family. Joe was body surfing, and at some point, his gold wedding ring had slipped off and disappeared into the ocean. It was just about 5pm when they called and low tide was at 5:30pm. I immediately rushed up and met up with Joe and his family. Joe was fairly confident of where he was at when he noticed the ring was gone but wasnt positive of exactly when it happened. He was between chest deep water and ankle deep surf. I began working a search grid from where he believed was the most probable spot. After recovering many targets in the “wash zone” I began to work my way out to deeper water. Joe and his family had returned to their home for dinner and I assured them that I would continue searching the area to ensure it was thoroughly covered. After about 2hrs of searching I heard the signal I was waiting for. After two scoops in chest deep water out popped Joes ring! Another happy client!

Joes Review:

“Jeff Laag and Ring Finders Cape May are incredible! I lost my wedding ring in the ocean while on vacation last week. Jeff showed up in no time and immediately started his search! I had dropped some change where I thought I lost the ring to help with his search. Jeff found all $9 in change, searching diligently. After two hours I had all but given up and was going to have to tell my wife I lost my ring less than a year into our marriage! Just then, Jeff sent a message that he had concluded his search…and found the ring! Five feet deep in the ocean! If you’ve lost a ring/ valuable metals you need to give this man a call! Thanks Jeff!”

LOST Platinum wedding ring (for 5 months) at Air BnB on Lake Gaston, NC….. FOUND!!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

So got a text from the wife of a guy that lost his platinum wedding ring at an AirBnB last November, just as the cold weather started coming in, I told her that sadly, I was done with water hunting for the season and that I could do it in late spring/early summer depending on the AirBnB schedule.

So a couple of weeks ago, I texted her and said I could do now that temperatures are rising. She responded and said she’d have to contact the owner of the house and get back with me.

We worked out a date and time for Sunday after 10:15 when the family checks out. I make the drive, review last years pictures and jump in the water to start my search. About an hour went by and I finally see a silvery/Platinum ring in my scoop!

I get out, take some pictures and send it to her, asking if this was “the ring!” She quickly replied back, “OMG, YES!” I said “send me your address and I’ll send you guys the ring!”

I sent this platinum ring to MD and the received it! It’s back where it belongs!!

Lost Wedding Band Found With Metal Detector – Atlantic Beach, NC

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Matthew and his wife were enjoying a warm weekend at the beach. Since his fingers sometimes swell, Matthew took off his wedding band and put it in a pouch. Later, after packing up, he realized the ring was missing. His wife posted a plea for help, and a few responses suggested Crystal Coast Ring Finders. The couple had an appointment that afternoon they couldn’t miss, so we agreed to meet the next day. Although pinpointing the exact spot on the beach was tricky, their great detective work brought me within 10 feet of where the ring was lost. Matthew was starting to doubt it could be found, but after a few false signals, I got a loud hit near the new marked spot. Up from the sand came Matthew’s wedding band, back in his hands where it belonged!

Lost Key Fob in the Snow in Edgewater Park NJ

  • from South Jersey (New Jersey, United States)
Contact:

This past winter kept me busy.

I had just gotten home & put away all of my detecting equipment from an earlier request when I received a call from Moise. While shoveling, he lost his keys & fob. I told him I could be there in about 30 minutes.

When I got there, he showed me where he was shoveling. There were some pretty high piles of snow. He went back into the house.

I got started. Within 5 minutes, I got a good signal. Dug down about 15 inches, and there were his keys. I knocked on the door and showed him his fob. He was amazed at how quickly I found them. He had been looking for hours.

I love my hobby!!

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Wilmington, DE!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Don’t wait…Call/Text Rich Hageney to find you lost valuables!!! He will deliver!!! (484)433-6990

Fellow Ring Finder, John Favano, referred Jamie to me. Time was of the essence on this one! Jamie was extremely stressed and upset over his lost gold wedding band…a wedding band he had been wearing for 38 years year straight and sadly, one in which he continued to wear in honor of his recently deceased wife. Oh…we were going to find this one…no matter what! Jamie was driving down his quiet community street with his left arm out the window….when he felt his ring slip off…and heard it bounce (once) on the street below. He immediately pulled to the side of road…thinking he would find after a quick search. But when he could not locate it he had a crowd of family and friends join in the search on hands and knees and they searched for hours. I showed up 60 minutes later with several metal detectors to assist in the search. Jamie described all the details involved when losing the ring…we even re-enacted the loss with him driving down the road and dropping a washer to simulate the ring. I firstly scanned the 3 small grassy front yards right where he said the ring slipped off…a gold ring on the surface has a very unique signature on my Minelab Manticare metal detector…and I knew for sure it was not in one of those areas. Time to expand the search…maybe the ring bounced and rolled farther away than anyone thought??? I walked 30 yards farther to another grassy area bordering the street…and boom…I got the gold ring signal I was hoping for. I looked down and saw his large gold ring sitting on top of the grass…I called at Jamie who was sitting looking dejected down the street and said I had another question  for him…he walked up to me and I said my question is “is that your ring”…pointing downward. Man…not sure I ever saw a guy look so relieved…he then become overpowered by emotion. It was very satisfying to be able come through for this kind and caring man.

Ring Recovery in Avila Beach

Ring lost at Coronado found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Sergio was at the beach in Coronado and when doing a simple stretch with his arms, his wedding ring flew off into the soft sand. Raking with his fingers came up dry, so, onto the web he went for help. He contacted both Stan and Curtis here in SoCal who gave him my number. Thanks guys! Sergio wasn’t able to meet me right away to show me the search area, but, he did the next best thing, which was GPS coordinates and photos he’d taken at the loss site. Armed with this info, I went to the beach and figured out the likely location by the landmarks in the photos. I started a spiral search from where I stood, and after about a 1/2 hour I had covered about a 50 foot circle…..but no ring. Hmmm, that was strange as I had reviewed the photos several times and was sure I was in the correct area. Time to start over, so, I walked back to my initial starting point and got a good signal right there! I looked down and realized that the signal was right under my first left foot print in the sand! That was a first for me to have been actually standing on the target I was looking for! I guess I need to learn to get out of my own way! Great to meet you and your sons Sergio, and thank you for the reward.

Large Platinum Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in West Chester, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Steve found me in The Ring Finder directory and was seeking help in locating his lost platinum wedding band. He was doing some yard work in the backyard of his home in West Chester, PA when his ring slipped off his finger. Prior to reaching out to me he attempted to find the ring himself with a cheap metal detector. I told him that I quite frequently get calls for help after folks buy or rent a detector. What I tell most people is the machine itself is important (and I have all top of the line machines!) but not as important as the experience of the operator! You have to know what to listen for! Anyway, I met Steve at his home a few days later and he showed me where he was working. I took a few minutes to demonstrate my machine…utilizing my own platinum wedding band to let him hear the signal I would be searching for. He thought maybe it flew off while he was tossing sticks into a pile…but the area where he was doing that wasn’t really an area that would obscure the ring. He would have found it with his eyes. He was also picking up brush, sticks and carrying them across the deep grass of his back yard….I thought that was more likely the area the ring would be found. Sure enough 10 minutes into searching the grass I got the beautiful signal I was searching for! I bent down and searched the deep grass…and there was his beautiful, large platinum band!!! The look of joy and relief on Steve’s face was epic!!!

Diamond and Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Philadelphia, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Will reached out to me after finding me in The Ring Finder directory. He was looking for help in locating his wife’s beautiful gold and diamond wedding band. Apparently they were spending the afternoon at a Philadelphia park when her ring came up missing. Will was quite certain he knew the area of the park where the ring was lost. I told him I would meet him at the park early the next morning. Upon my arrival on Sunday morning (Mother’s Day!) Will showed me the area where he felt the ring became lost. I spent some time manipulating the settings on my Minelab Manticore metal detector and also demonstrated for Will what the signal I would be looking for would sound like…I brought a small gold band with me to do so. I wanted him to feel confident that if I went over his wife’s ring with my machine I would not miss it! Well….10 minutes into the search we got that exact signal! I looked down and there was the ring! Will was standing nearby looking at me in disbelief! Will looked so relieved…and was crazy happy he could return his wife’s ring to her on Mother’s Day!!!

Backyard Miracle: Mason’s Lost Platinum Wedding Band Recovered in Alexandria, Virginia

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Mason’s cherished platinum wedding band recovered by Brian Rudolph after being lost for nearly a week in the backyard of his Alexandria, Virginia home.

A relieved and excited Mason proudly holds up his recovered platinum wedding ring after Brian Rudolph successfully located it using professional metal detecting equipment.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (also known as THE RING HERO) searches Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses and Vehicles. He Will Find Your Lost Item! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

There are few things more unsettling than watching something precious disappear right before your eyes — especially when that item represents love, commitment, and years of memories. For Mason, that frightening moment happened on a cold winter afternoon at his home in Alexandria, Virginia.

While taking care of a few things in his backyard, Mason suddenly made a movement and instantly felt his platinum wedding band fly off his finger. In that split second, he believed he saw the ring travel in a particular direction, so he immediately began searching the area where he thought it had landed. Unfortunately, despite his determination and repeated efforts, the ring was nowhere to be found.

The longer Mason searched with a metal detector, the more frustrated and confused he became. How could something he believed landed in plain sight simply vanish? After combing through the yard over and over again, reality began to set in — his beloved wedding ring was truly lost.

Eventually, Mason decided it was time to begin a different kind of search. Looking online for professional help, he discovered both THE RING FINDERS — the international directory of metal detector specialists — and METAL DETECTING ADVENTURES INC, the licensed business owned and operated by me, Brian Rudolph. Before long, Mason and I were discussing all of the details surrounding the disappearance of the irreplaceable platinum wedding band.

By the time I arrived at Mason’s Alexandria, Virginia property, nearly a week had passed since the ring vanished into the winter grass. Mason carefully explained what had happened and pointed out the sections of the backyard where he believed the ring may have landed.

Within minutes, I began setting up a detailed search grid and started metal detecting the property. Ironically, it took longer to lay down the grid lines than it did to actually recover the lost ring!

In less than an hour, my metal detector signaled a promising target hidden in the yard. Moments later, Mason’s missing platinum wedding band was safely back in his hands — and quickly returned to the finger where it belonged.

Relief, excitement, and gratitude instantly replaced the stress and disappointment Mason had carried for the previous week. What once seemed impossible had suddenly become a successful recovery story with a very happy ending.

For Mason, the platinum wedding band was far more than a piece of jewelry. It was a cherished symbol of love and commitment. Thanks to the successful recovery, that treasured symbol remains part of his story for many years to come.
