Large Platinum Men’s Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in West Chester, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Joseph found me in the Ring Finder directory. The week before he was having a wonderful timeĀ  kayaking the Brandywine River in West Chester, PA when tragedy struck! He pulled to the side to assist his wife with her canoe and while doing so he heard something bang and bounce off his kayak. About 60 seconds later and 5 yards down river he suddenly realized his large platinum wedding band was missing. It was obvious that the sound he heard was his ring bouncing off the kayak and into the river. He sent his family ahead to continue down river and stayed back and searched for his ring in the 1-2 feet deep water but had no luck. He and his wife returned several times during the week with handheld pinpointer metal detectors to try to locate the lost ring. At some point Joseph’s wife suggested hiring a professional and they got in touch with me. I met Joseph on a Saturday morning (exactly 1 week after the ring was lost) and we marched upstream 10-15 minutes to the site where Joseph was positive the ring dropped. He re-enacted what occurred and gave me some accurate and detailed parameters of where he was standing when the ring fell off. I was using my Minelab Manticore metal detector with a large search coil. A large platinum wedding band has a unique booming signature on my machine…and i knew exactly what signal I was listening and hoping for. Well…its didn’t take long…10 minutes into search…BOOM…there was the signal I was hoping for. I yelled to Joseph and pointed down…I told him I like the signal. I got out my pin pointer and searched the 1 foot deep water….my pinpointer buzzed that it was hitting metal. I moved several small rocks….THERE IT WAS! I think Joseph saw it shimmering in the water before I did! We both let out a few whoops and hollers and celebrated with high fives! EPIC! So happy to come through for Joseph and get his ring back on hos finger where it belongs!!!

Darshan found me online in the Ring Finder Directory after searching for his lost ring for many hours. He was at a community block party near his home in Chester Springs, PA when he felt his ring slip off his finger. He knew exactly where it fell off but the grass was quite high and thick and he just could not find it despite hours of searching on hands and knees. He finally reached out to a pro and we met shortly after his call. He was quite stressed about his lost ring…I told him I would find in 2 minutes. Well it took me closer to 3 minutes…I was extremely happy that I was able to come through for Darshan and return his ring to him!

Diamond and Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Philadelphia, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Will reached out to me after finding me in The Ring Finder directory. He was looking for help in locating his wife’s beautiful gold and diamond wedding band. Apparently they were spending the afternoon at a Philadelphia park when her ring came up missing. Will was quite certain he knew the area of the park where the ring was lost. I told him I would meet him at the park early the next morning. Upon my arrival on Sunday morning (Mother’s Day!) Will showed me the area where he felt the ring became lost. I spent some time manipulating the settings on my Minelab Manticore metal detector and also demonstrated for Will what the signal I would be looking for would sound like…I brought a small gold band with me to do so. I wanted him to feel confident that if I went over his wife’s ring with my machine I would not miss it! Well….10 minutes into the search we got that exact signal! I looked down and there was the ring! Will was standing nearby looking at me in disbelief! Will looked so relieved…and was crazy happy he could return his wife’s ring to her on Mother’s Day!!!

Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Wayne, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Rich was enjoying the spring weather with his wife and young son at a park in Wayne, PA. After some action on the playground he took a break at a picnic table. While sitting he felt his gold wedding band slip off and drop straight down into the grass under the picnic table. After a frustrating hour of searching he gave up and called me after finding me online in The Ring Finder directory. I was 30 minutes away and told him I would see him at 6:30 pm that same day. When I got there the first thing we did was move the heavy picnic table out of the way…then I set my machine for “gold only”. Less than 5 minutes later…his ring was back on his finger! He couldn’t believe he couldn’t find with his eyes but in his defense the ring did blend in with the yellow grass!!!

Mike was referred to me by fellow Ring Finder, Dave Milsted. He was working on snow clean up at a home outside Philadelphia during the recent storm. While working in the back alley behind the home he felt and heard his large, silver, vintage David Yurman ring fly off his finger. He looked for a while but it fell in the deep snow and a metal detector was needed for sure. I met him that afternoon and found the ring after a 10 minute search. Was very happy to be able to return Mike’s ring to him!

Diamond Gold Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in Trevose, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Tyler was referred to me by fellow Ring Finder John Favano. He contacted me after his diamond/gold wedding band came up missing after washing his car in his front yard in Trevose, PA. He searched the grass for hours himself…even purchasing a metal detector before deciding to call in a professional. It just so happens I was in that area for work and I never leave home without my trusty metal detector in the car. He called at 3 pm….I was at his home at 5 pm. While his friend and neighbor Gary cheered me on (Tyler was at work) … I began my search. A gold band on the surface has a very unique signal on a metal detector….I also set my machine for “gold only”. I was at it for about 5-10 minutes…lots of signals but not the one I was listening for. All of a sudden there it was…the signal I was looking for. Before even bending down I told Gary….there it is. I bent down and dug around in the deep grass….and yes there it was!!! I immediately texted Tyler a pic of his precious ring and got a immediate reply “INCREDIBLE…THANK YOU SO MUCH!” I was very happy to come through for Tyler!!!
