I received a text from Mrs. Jeanette on Sunday night. She said she found me on the ring finders page. She asked for help finding her gold ring with diamonds. I said sure!
She lives in Lexington, NC (2 hour drive one-way). I get there and she tells me about how she lost it and where she marked the area with a stick.
I get my gear out and 5 mins later, BOOM!!! I can see her ring just under some grass. She couldn’t believe I found it so fast. It was less than 2 feet fro the stick too!!
Then I had my 2 hour drive back home!

This story is about a young man by the name of Andrew who lost his wedding band while doing yard work. I wonder how many people have done this in the past and have given up the search, thinking they will never find it. This search was interesting. It wasn’t too labour-intensive two locations and it was found in one of the likely locations in the front yard under a bush that he lifted up and shook a bit.
The thing was it was out of sight and it required me getting down under the bush with my handheld pin pointer to do the search as I couldn’t reach it with the metal detector. As I was on the ground, searching the leaves and dirt I spotted it under some roots and leaves in a position where I would never have found it with my metal detector. I love this job, it’s like being a detective. You have to think out-of-the-box and go to places that you’re pretty sure you won’t find it, and then you do. It’s a Murphy’s Law kind of thing, it’s going to be in one of the toughest places to find and that’s where you have to check.
Andrews anniversary was coming up in April so it was an honour to be able to find it and reconnect him with his beautiful ring.

Got a message from a lady who’s husband had lost his titanium wedding ring last summer while mowing. He took it off and put it in his pants pocket. When he got done mowing it wasn’t there anymore.
It took me about 30 mins, but I was able to get a decent near the surface signal and popped the target to see a titanium ring!!!
I was scheduled to get off work early today. 10 mins before 10:00 am I get message from the “NEXT DOOR” app from a Paul. He asked if I could try and find his wedding ring that he lost in his front or back yard about a year ago. I get there and take 10 mins to get the story and the area to check.
I start in the front, in his flowerbed and my first signal, less than 2 mins, was his wedding ring!
I was actually out metal detecting in Miami Beach when I received a call from a woman who lost her wedding ring somewhere in her front yard. I told her it should be an easy search for me but when I got there, there was a lot of sprinkler and electrical conduit underground. Took me a while but I found it!! I received call from a young lady who just had her engagement party the night before. She was moving some kayaks into the lake when her new engagement ring fell off. She did not realize this until after the party. I received the call at 3am!! The next morning I showed and scanned her whole yard and eventually found it in the lake! Had a call out from Mike. He had been working beside the house on a cold snowy day. When it happened, he felt it go and heard it hit. His ring was gone and he just couldn’t figure out where. He could have waited until the snow melted, but having it back meant one less thing to be thinking about. So he called me and had it back in a very short time.

I recieved a call from a young man who told me he had lost his wedding ring on the side of the street possibly in the snow. He was inquiring about my services, he told me he had rented a metal detector and was going back to look for it, I just said when you’re done and if you can’t find it, call me and I’ll be happy to come out and find it for you. He said he looked for close to four hours the day before, and he would put it away and wait for me to come out as he was pretty much done with the rental detector.
I adjusted my day switched a search over and headed to his location as it was more important because it was in a public area where somebody may be able to find it before I got there, even though there’s snow, it could’ve landed on the sidewalk or road for anyone to see. When I got there, I met William and he told me his feelings on where the ring should’ve been and I could see his spent a lot of time searching in the area as the snow was almost completely melted where he had been looking.
He had to go back to his place so I started to search and just before I got going a young lady stopped with her kids and asked me if that was a metal detector. I said yes and I was out there looking for someone who had lost their wedding. She said do you make house calls and I said absolutely, she told me that her husband had just lost his wedding band the night before making a snowman for his kids in the backyard. I told her that once I was done finding this ring I would head on over to her place to find her husband’s ring.
Back to Williams lost ring…After 20 minutes of grid searching I found the ring in an area where he did not look, it few backwards quite a distance into a hedge where it wedged into the leaves and dirt hidden from view. It was so nice to surprise him with his ring when he came back, and it was a beautiful ring with mountains and a diamond for the sun or stars very unique… He was such a nice young man, and loved his wife so much. It was such an honour as they all are to be able to find and reconnect these people with these beautiful and sentimental items.
