Man’s Wedding Ring Lost and Found in Vermont Lake

I got a call from the family of a fellow who had lost his wedding ring in the water at a Vermont State Park. He was having a great 4th of July day with his whole family, and was playing with his grandson in the water, pretending he was a shark’s jaw with his hands and arms. Then the fun quickly turned into sadness when he saw his ring missing.

Immediately the entire family when into search mode. They got lots of help from all the other beachgoers and even offered a generous reward. Everyone tried hard, especially the kids, sifting sand through their fingers and tiny play scoops. It would’ve been so cool if one of those kids had found it! But, unfortunately the water was a little riled up from all the activity and boat waves, so no-one found it.

We arranged for his two daughters to meet me there at 9:00 the next morning. I arrived and they took me to the search area, which by good fortune, was marked by a throwable life saver rack. After about 6 passes through the area, I got a real clear tone which was double tapping (double taps happen when the coil is very close to a target). I scooped up some sand and stones and there was a wedding ring! We knew it was his because it had their initials and marriage date on the inside. All three of us were so happy!!

The next day I got to meet the happy couple who is having their 46th anniversary in a few days! He made me some amazing rhubarb coffee cake, which sure hit the spot! Water searches can be very difficult and not as successful, sure am happy about this one ❤️

Gold Ring Lost in Flowerbed Found With a Metal Detector

Ben called me on the early evening of July 6th from his home in Nolensville TN and told me that he lost his gold wedding band in his front yard. He was tending to some plants and his hands got wet. His ring fell off of his ringer, bounced off a concrete wall and landed in a flower bed. Ben spent three hours looking for the ring, but couldn’t find it. He did an online search for a metal detecting service in Nashville and my profile on TheRingFinders was the first thing to pop up. I was at Ben’s house in about 30 minutes. After he re-created what he was doing when the ring came off his finger I powered up the metal detector and got to searching. I used my pinpointer to probe around the base of a flowering bush and got a strong signal at the base of the stalk. Ben’s ring was down about 2” in the wet mulch and bark mixture. One of Ben’s neighbors across the street congratulated Ben, and he said he had no idea that there was an online directly of metal detectorists that go around finding people’s lost jewelry. This Was A Key Find! Literally!

I was just approached about some lost keys. Eddie said he got to his car and his keys were not in his bag. He was thinking they got lost on the beach. Keys with a fob normally do not get buried so I had my doubts. I gridded the area with no luck. He then gave me another area and I got a good signal. I could not believe it but they were buried several inches down!! He was a happy man!

While out doing yard work a few days back, Tennessee went in to take a break and noticed her wedding ring wasn’t on her finger. She only had the ring for 2 weeks. She looked all over the back yard and even borrowed a metal detector from neighbors to search for it. She learned quickly, these metal detectors are not a straight forward easy device to use. She gave up on the search and went online for help, she found theringfinders.com and gave me a call. I had an opening in just a couple days and we set up a search day & time. I’m working with new equipment to take video’s of my adventures in metal detecting. I used a bodycam and didn’t get sharp enough pictures to post.  I apologize, though give me a break as I’m just trying to learn all this new video and editing equipment. Lost Diamond Engagement Ring Found in Chicago

Received a call from a woman who had lost her diamond engagement ring,  in her yard in Chicago.

She had been waving her hand while showing her fiancé just how loose the ring was… you can probably guess what happened next.

The search area was full of tall grass and heavy trash, but after 45 minutes, luck—and persistence—paid off.

The ring was recovered, and it was absolutely beautiful.

Ring lost at Mission Bay found

Kai put his rings in his pocket before playing smash ball on the beach at Mission Bay. After playing, he realized that sometime during the game his rings escaped his pocket and were now in the sand somewhere. One was found, but, the other eluded the search. He gave me a call, but, I was over an hour away celebrating the 4th at a friend’s house. I agreed to do the search after I got home later that night. Kai headed home, but, sent me a map and address of where they were staying and playing. After fighting all the beach traffic, I managed to get to the search area about 12:45am. An hour of gridding later, and no ring, I walked over to where his friends were staying to see if anyone was still up that could help narrow the search area. Sure enough, even though Kai had gone home, a friend of his was still there at the air B&B. I was then shown the spot where smash ball was being played and I found the ring a short time later at 2am. I texted Kai and planned on re-uniting him with his ring later that day. As you can see, Kai was very happy to get his ring back! a pleasure meeting you and thank you for the reward.

It started with a simple sunrise photo I posted to social media. Within an hour, a comment popped up that changed the entire trajectory of the day: a request to find a sister’s wedding set lost the day before at Porpoise Point in St. Augustine. I immediately contacted the family to gather the details and coordinate a rescue plan.

The story was a heartbreaker. While enjoying a family day at the beach, the wife had safely tucked her precious wedding rings into her bag. Unbeknownst to her, her 3-year-old opened the bag and dropped them somewhere into the hot, shifting sand. The family searched for hours on end without luck. Desperate to find them, they returned to Porpoise Point the following morning at 5:00 am to search the sand again. They even spotted a local metal detectorist and asked for help; he searched the area for 3 grueling hours but unfortunately walked away empty-handed.

They were completely heartbroken and convinced the rings were gone forever. I told them to hold onto hope, trust my experience and equipment, and meet me right back at the beach.

When I arrived, Porpoise Point in St. Augustine was absolutely packed with holiday weekend beachgoers. The pressure was on, but I fired up my gear and carefully mapped out a grid search. Just 15 minutes into the hunt, I got a beautiful signal. Digging into the sand, I recovered not just one, but both wedding rings safely.

The raw emotion in that moment is exactly why I do this. The husband immediately broke down and hugged me, and the surrounding crowd of beachgoers all burst into cheers!

Later that day, the wife sent me an incredible message that reminds me exactly why this work matters so much:

Wedding ring found in the water at Sanford Lake in Michigan

I got a call from a lady saying that her husband lost his wedding ring at Sanford Lake in Michigan. I met them both there to try to find it. The husband said he was in about a 75 foot long area along the beach in the water. He said that he didn’t go out farther than 30 feet. He was playing with his kids and crawling on the lake bottom. I figured that I would start at where he could crawl and keep his head above water. In less than five minutes and my first signal, I scooped up his ring.They were both happy to have it back and it made my day to get it back to him.

Lost – Gold princess cut diamond engagement ring, New Smyrna Beach, FL – FOUND!!

I received a text from Alex on Sunday morning. He said his fiancée had lost her engagement ring the previous day and asked if I could help. I told him to call me right away.

Seconds later, my phone rang. I could hear the tension in his voice as he explained where and when the ring had been lost. They had searched for quite a while but came up empty. I told him I could head there immediately. Since his fiancée, Bryanna, lived about 40 minutes away, he said she would meet me at the beach. I told him I’d get started and wait for her.

As I drove, I prayed that God would guide my search.

When I arrived, I fired up the Minelab Manticore. A few beach tents already occupied the area, and I could still see the marks in the sand from the previous evening’s search.

I began carefully gridding from the edge of the water into the dry sand where Bryanna believed the ring had come off. I had covered most of the likely area and was beginning to wonder if it had been lost somewhere else.

Then came a booming signal.

Just beneath the sand was the ring, crowned with a beautiful, large diamond. It was easy to understand why they had been so worried.

I walked back to the house where I had parked my car at Mike and Pam’s home, Bryanna’s best friend’s parents. Moments later, Bryanna and her mother arrived. I asked Bryanna to tell me one more time where she thought the ring had been lost. As she pointed toward the beach, I slowly raised the ring into her view.

First came a gasp. Then tears of joy.

Praise God! Another precious ring was safely back where it belonged.

Wedding Ring Lost During a Water Ballon Fight-Found

Chris contacted me on Sunday morning and said his wife had lost her ring in the front yard while throwing water ballons on the 4th. He showed me the area they were at so I started there. I was fairly certain that early on in the conversation he said it was white gold, so I was mainly concentrating on shallow low signals. But, after around 30 minutes I got a very strong 72 on the Manticore with the telltale double beep that said it was very shallow or on the surface. A 72 is definately not white gold, but a silver or copper tone, and of course I investigated to see what it would be. It was the lost ring, and after looking at it I saw a 925 inside the band. So it was silver and not white gold. His wife was estatic and said she went to sleep crying the night before. In my book they are newlyweds, only 6 months in. A successful recovery!
