Call or text ASAP for time-sensitive searches: beaches, parks, mowing day, snow.

Lost jewelry and keys: $75 call-out, which covers travel and an hour of searching, whether or not the item is found. $100 more when I find it. Longer searches by agreement before I keep going.

Property pins and iron markers: $125 for up to four corners on a typical residential lot. Marker location only, not a land survey.

Buried water shut-off valves and curb stops: $100, no find, no fee.

Precious metal testing (Sigma Metalytics PMV Pro, non-destructive): $5 per item, $25 minimum, free with any recovery. No appraisals, no purchasing.

Beyond about 45 minutes from Hackettstown, there may be a travel charge; we’ll settle it when you call.

Lawns, gardens, mulch beds, leaf litter, parks, ball fields, playgrounds, beaches, and lake and stream edges to about knee depth. Rings, jewelry, keys, phones, watches, hearing aids. Professional Minelab equipment that finds gold, platinum, titanium, and tungsten as well as silver. Also: buried property pins, iron markers, water shut-off valves and curb stops, sprinkler heads, septic and valve lids.

Based in Hackettstown, NJ, covering Morris, Warren, Sussex, Hunterdon, and Somerset counties. Call to discuss anything farther; I’ll travel for a wedding ring.

I’ve been metal detecting the parks, school grounds, lake beaches, and old homesites of northwest New Jersey, and I know how rings disappear: cold hands, a thrown ball, a garden glove, a dive off a dock. Most of them are within a few feet of where the owner last felt it, and most come up in under an hour if nobody mows or rakes first. I use a Minelab Manticore, I come the same day whenever I can, and I don’t leave until we’ve covered the ground.
