December 2021 Miss Cee Cee contacted me asking for assistance in finding her promise ring lost in her  snowy back yard. She explained that she had stepped outside to take a few photos of the beautiful snow with her newly received ring. Without gloves her hand quickly got cold. Next thing she remembers she was shaking snow from her hands when she felt her new promise ring sliding off her finger into the snow. She tried to melt some of the snow with hot water but even after this she was still was unable to find her ring.

When I arrived it was still very cold with snow covering the yard. I got straight to work with my detector and after a bit of searching located her promise ring. It was another ring saved from a snow covered yard. Miss Cee Cee was very happy to have her ring back on her finger. She told us she learned not to play in the snow with any rings on.

December 2021 Mani contacted me asking for assistance in finding his lost precious temple ring he has had since his childhood days. He told me that he had been throwing some snow balls outside of his apartment when his hands got cold. He then shook his bare hands and his precious ring few off his finger. His buddies had helped him get a cheap basic metal detector but he could not find his ring. The men then proceeded to dump a lot of hot water over the snow in a desperate attempt to melt the snow. With the below freezing temperatures it only make a huge frozen sheet of ice over the ground.

I was able to meet up with Madi and has friends. He explained that this was a very precious ring he had since child hood and that is has the Venkateswara Temple on the face of the ring. Being a medium size yellow gold ring I knew it wold not take too much time to find this one and after a few quick passes we had Madi’s ring back on his finger. He was very happy to have his ring recovered before all the snow melted bing in the middle of an apartment complex. He most likely has some nice honest neighbors but its just more stress and effort posting flyers and knocking on everyones door waiting for some one that might have eyeballed the ring days later.

Watch the SeattleRingHunter recover a Diamond Sapphire engagement ring lost the same day received on Christmas Eve.

December 2021Marissa contacted me on Christmas day with an emergency engagement ring recovery. She was quick to tell her story sharing that the night before on Christmas Eve her boyfriend proposed to her and gave her a beautiful diamond sapphire engagement ring. Being that they were from Montana and amateur rock hounds they have a special appreciation for sapphires having found and process them in the past. So Levi her fiancé had a few special Yogo Sapphires purchased from Montana set on her engagement ring for that extra special touch. She proudly wore this ring on her finger and that evening they went to a late night Catholic Mass service. When she returned home late at night she got out of the passenger side of their car and then immediately she felt her ring slip off her finger and heard it land in the soft squishy grass below her feet. The weather had been very cold, it was dark and they could only do too much without stepping on the ring and risking damage. The next morning on Christmas day after an online search on how to find a lost ring in the grass they came across TheRingFinders.com and reached out to me for assistance.

By the time she called me on Christmas day the snow had already started falling. Not having lost a ring like this ever before Marissa’s stress level was now maxed out over her lost engagement ring. I reassured her that with her knowing exactly how the ring fell off gave us a lot of confidence that it had to be in the grass or their car and I should be able to recover it. I told her I was currently in Olympia for Christmas day but would be heading home the next day. The search was set for the 26th and that next day I made it through the snow storm to their home by evening time. The snow had started piling up but all turned out well enough. I was able to quickly recover the ring in securely hidden under the fresh snow next to their parked car. Her new engagement ring was absolutely stunning and found undamaged. The couple was very happy to have the ring back in their own hands. After a quick inspection it was very quite obvious the ring was over sized. She was precautioned to take the ring as soon a possible to a jeweler for resizing for a proper fit. She absolutely agreed not waning to loose it a second time.

Lost Red Coral Ring Received From Parents During Childhood

  • from Mercer Island (Washington, United States)

SeattleRingHunter Lost Item Recovery Specialist LAND & SCUBA Call 206-618-8194 ASAP

November 2021 A gentleman contacted me asking for assistance in finding a ring he just lost from his childhood. He went on to explain that he had been raking leaves from his yard and a very precious keep sake give to him by his parents had slipped off his finger and gone missing. He told me that this ring is common in his home land of India where a copper ring with a red coral gemstone is mounted in such a way that the suns energy can shine through the red coral and radiate positive energy into the beholder who wears the ring. Copper is also used as its know to be a good conductor of energy and so this is the tradition that has been carried on for some time. He said he always enjoyed the ring so much that he has had a jeweler resize it several times. All though not an expensive ring, it has a lot sentimental value and he would very much like to get it back. He explained that he had a smaller yard and still had the yard waste bin full of leaves. With this I sprung into action and met up with him at his residence.

One of the areas he had been cleaning up leaves from was just outside of his back yard fence where a Seattle city sidewalk is. He also told me he was not wearing gloves and felt that it could have slipped off his finger at any time as he picked up piles of leaves with his bare hands.  We both had a strong feeling the the ring might be inside the yard waste bin. However I always prioritize my search efforts to public areas first then easy access areas next as low hanging fruit before taking on other places that require more effort.

After a quick scan around the landscaping and public sidewalk with no ring found I moved to his back yard and searched his lawn. The search of his lawn took a bit more time but after this I was confident our next step was to tackle his yard waste bin. I came prepared with a tarp and he sourced a second one from his garage. We laid the tarps down to make our clean up effort a little easier. I dumped the full bin of leaves out onto of the tarps and started scanning the pile of leaves. Within just a few minutes I located his beloved childhood ring and presented it to him. He gave a big smile showing his appreciation to get his ring back after almost loosing it to the yard waste bin. Together we made quick work in cleaning up the leaves and the yard was back in tip top shape in no time.

Another item of personal value returned and another smile found. It was a great day to help this gentleman out.

Lost car keys in snow London, Ontario

Lost Rose Gold and Tantalum Wedding Band at Naia Lagoon Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began Tuesday afternoon when I got a call from Alena who was on vacation from Oregon and staying at the Ko Olina Resort with her husband Yevgeniy. While on the beach her husband noticed his Rose Gold and Tantalum Ring was missing from his finger. He wasn’t sure when it came of but was sure it was either when he was playing volleyball or when he jumped in and swam in the lagoon to cool off. Since it might require scuba I told Alena the best day would be Thursday afternoon low tide as the surf was at the moment crashing on the North and West facing shorelines. I assured her no one else would get the ring as I was the only metal detectorist allowed on Ko Olina Resort. When I arrived Thursday Alena & Yevgeniy were waiting for me on the beach. I had Yevgeniy draw a box in the dry sand where he had been playing volleyball and then in the wet sand on the left and right grid marks from where he was in the water of the lagoon. I told them they could go relax while I did the hunt as it could take quite awhile especially if I had to go in the water. I fired up the Nox and first searched the Volleyball area with no luck. Since Yevgeniy said he ran to the water I figured I better search the sand going towards the water. On the second leg of that grid I got a loud number “8” on the Nox and in one scoop there was his unique rose gold and tantalum ring in the scoop. This is where experience grid hunting paid off because it was about six feet outside the volleyball grid area towards the lagoon. I held up the ring and Alena was still on the beach and she came running down in disbelief. Yevgeniy had told her he was pretty sure it was gone forever and didn’t think it would be found. He had to provide someone a ride and had left the resort so, Alena texted him the good news. Vacation saved! Aloha to Alena & Yevgeniy!

Wedding and Engagement rings on a gold chain lost in rural Sussex

  • from Kent (England, United Kingdom)
  • Had a call from Michelle yesterday evening , she explained she had lost a wedding and engagement ring , which was on a gold chain whist out dog walking a week ago .

We agreed to meet this morning ,where Michelle proceeded to show me the route she had walked , and most importantly pointed out an area on the walk where she recalled tucking the chain inside her jacket , I decided to start detecting from this area , a few minutes later and  my detector hit on a shallow target , which turned out to be the missing wedding ring , it had been squashed into the soft ground by the hoof of a horse , I guessed the engagement ring would be close by and I spotted it sitting in the dry mud only a couple of feet away , alas despite an intensive search of the area , the gold chain was never recovered.
Michele was very happy to be reunited with her precious rings , thanks to ring finders precious items have been returned

LOST WEDDING RING IN APEX, NC…….. FOUND!!!!!!

Not the prettiest recovery I have ever done, but at least the sentimental aspect and symbolic meaning behind a wedding ring is still there, recovered and given back to the owner. This flattened platinum and rose gold wedding ring will need a little TLC, but I think it can be repaired.

Got a text message about a gentleman who lost his ring a week and a half ago while sledding with the family. He took his glove off once and that must have been the time when he lost it. When he texted me, he said it was either at his house in his front yard or at the hill where they were sledding. I started off at his house, figured that would’ve been the fastest and the easiest, since the yard was small and grass wasn’t that thick. I scanned it in no time and didn’t find his ring.

I drove down the road to the sled slope and began detecting. After about 15 mins, I realized it wasn’t there and started to walk away when I noticed a shiny bar-like item in the road. I walked over and picked it up and realized, “IT WAS THE RING!!!” flattened, but it was the ring!

I texted the gentleman, sent photos and told him I found it, but he wasn’t going to like how it looks! He responded with “Awww, THAT DOES SUCK, BUT THAT’S ALRIGHT, I’LL KEEP IT AS A MEMENTO”
