Class Ring lost during water balloon fight in Richmond, Texas (found) by John Volek

Monday 05/31/2016 Memorial Day

Justin reported he had been at the Friendship Church in Richmond, and while participating in an un-scheduled water balloon fight, he lost his 4 week old University of Texas at El-Paso class ring.

Justin said several hours have been spent looking for the ring, but after no luck, he decided to search for some help! Justin said he came across “The Ring Finders” on the internet and placed the call.

It’s clear from Justin’s smile, things worked out well!

In the News – Pro Helps Briggsville Man Find Cherished Ring

Check out this newspaper article about a recent lost ring find. This was a great hunt and proof that a ring is not always where you think it was lost. We spent a good hour searching the inside of an animal pen looking for 45 year old wedding band lost while spreading a bale of hay. After searching the area 2 to 3 times, multiple different ways for close to 2 hours – I asked where else Jim might have been the day he lost his wedding ring. After 5 mins of looking in this different area, I spotted the ring. I called Jim over and handed him my handheld metal detector and let him find it. Wedding Ring Lost on Mustang Island (found) by John Volek

I was contacted by Gary this Monday regarding his wife’s lost wedding ring on Mustang Island in Port Aransas, Texas. Gary reported they had spent some time on the island this weekend, and in the process his wife had accidentally lost her wedding ring. Gary said, after discovering the ring missing they searched the beach where they had been for several hours, but had no luck at finding the ring.

The video tells the story, and you can see from the attached photos and smiles it was a great day!

Searching for Buried Water Pipes and Valves in Houston, Texas

Contacted by John a homeowner in the Houston area who was wanting help in locating a water tap in the front yard of his residence. John said the tap was installed quite sometime ago and he was now wanting to locate it for a sprinkler installation.

John said he had spent and few hours himself digging in the area her believed the tap had been placed, but he had no luck. John said a neighbor came over with his metal detector to help John locate the tap, but other ground objects presented them with trouble.

John said he later searched the internet and found “The Ring Finders” and placed the call.

Check out the video, I was running the CTX 3030 in Relic mode, and the tap was a strong and clear signal, there was really no mistaking it!

Wedding Rings lost while throwing out trash in Houston (found) by John Volek

I was contacted by Josh and Courtney today regarding Courtney’s lost wedding ring. Josh said the ring was lost last night in the parking lot of a local pub in the Houston area.

Josh said, as they exited the pub last night, Courtney picked up a bottle that was laying in the parking lot near their truck. Josh said Courtney walked over to where the dumpster was and threw the bottle in the receptacle. Josh said unfortunately her wedding rings flew off while tossing the bottle. Josh said they were able to immediately find the engagement ring in front of the dumpster, but they could not find the matched wedding band.

Josh said they searched in the dark for quite some time and returned the next morning armed with a new metal detector. Josh said they search for several hours and were not able to find the missing wedding band.

Josh said Courtney searched the internet and found “The Ring Finders”, and placed the call. I met Josh and Courtney this afternoon to search for her ring. The conditions were really difficult as you can see from the picture, but Josh’s and Courtney’s picture tells how it ended.

Josh and Courtney were a great couple, and it was great to be able to reunite them with their rings.

Lost Ring in Kelowna BC Found and Returned.

Paul and his girlfriend were walking his dog in a small park. On throwing the ball for the dog the girlfriend heard a metallic ping down the roadway, she asked Paul if he had lost his ring, sure enough it was missing. They searched along the roadway fence in the grass, old leaves and some plants to no avail, they quickly realized it was like a needle in a haystack. He found my email on the internet and I responded the next morning, his girlfriend gave me the best clue on where to search and within 30 minutes I had the ring. I told him he should thank his girlfriend for being so alert.

I received a call from Lamar regarding his lost 18 year safety ring from FedEx. Lamar said the ring was lost in his pond (tank) on his property in Madisonville, Texas

Lamar said, he had originally contacted Travis Batson from “The Ring Finders” College Station to come out and look for the ring. Lamar said, Travis searched for the lost ring in the pond for a little over two hours, it was determined that the ring was in deeper water.

Lamar said following that attempt, he directed Travis to an area near his home where he had lost his wedding ring a little over 5 years ago. Lamar said a short time later, Travis called him over and handed him his lost wedding ring. Lamar said he was amazed how deep the ring had settled into the ground, and Travis’ ability to find it.

Lamar said, Travis had recommended giving me a call for an underwater recover attempt.

I made the trip out to Lamar’s home in Madisonville, you can see from the smile, we had a good day!

Wedding Ring Lost at Clearwater Beach (found) by SRARC

Mike was down from Virginia visiting Clearwater Beach with his wife and 3 children for spring break. Yesterday afternoon he stepped out onto the beach and into the water. When he got about knee deep he thought it might be a good idea to remove his wedding ring and store it in his pocket for safe keeping. As he was pulling it off of his finger it slipped from his grip and fell into the water. After frantically searching on his hands and knees for a while it became clear that he would not find it. He returned to his room and worried about it for several hours before searching the internet for help. When he did, the Ring Finders popped right up and he found the SRARC Ring Finders group. He called that evening and we set up a meet time in front of the Hotel on Clearwater Beach. At 8:00 am the next morning, Mike Miller, Mark Sillence, Wayne Cree, Jerry Schneider, and Rick Magyar showed up for the recovery. After listening to Mike’s story and getting clear on the area the wedding ring was lost we started the search. In about 15 minutes Rick gave the thumbs up and brought Mike his ring. We got lots of smiles and hugs from him as he celebrated the return of is ring. It was a real pleasure for us to meet Mike and be able to make his day. Thanks to all who participated.
