Lost Wedding Anniversary Rings Recovered on the Beach in Ocean City, NJ

A relaxing summer evening on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, quickly turned into a stressful experience for Kelly and her friends after a fun game of egg toss.

Before joining the game, Kelly wisely removed her rings and placed them on a towel to keep them safe. When it was time to pack up and leave, she reached for her jewelry and immediately realized something was wrong. Only one ring could be found. Despite everyone carefully searching the sand, her other two rings had disappeared.

LOST 14K WHITE GOLD WEDDING SET IN RIVER NEAR MILL SPRING, NC….FOUND!!!

Received a text from a young lady that stated she had lost her wedding ring set (two rings soldiered together) in a river that she was tubing on Friday July 3rd and asked if I could try and find it.

I said absolutely! The water was only about 2-3 feet deep and she lost it just before some rapids. So after work, I make the 3 plus hour drive and get to the spot. Grabbed my gear and headed down the little hill towards the river’s edge to assess the area.

Once in the water, I needed to try and figure out where she was based on the text message and screenshots received. I finally found what I thought was the spot and I get a good 72 VDI ring signal! It sounded loud and on top! The only issue was it was under a big log. I rolled the log to the right and scanned again. Now I’m really getting a good signal!! I went to get my goggles because I couldn’t see with the water moving and the suns glare. As I was coming back to the spot, the same “SUNS GLARE” actually shined down and I could see a silvery/white gold circle shining!! I reached down and pull it up!

I had to drive a ways to get cell signal back, but once I did I sent her the pictures and she was very happy!

Then I had to drive an hour to their house where I met her husband at the door! I said, “I hear your wife lost some rings!” He said, “Yes!” They both couldn’t believe it was still there and I found them! (on July 8th) Needless to say he was very excited to get them back as well!

Engagement Ring Lost in the Lake-Found!

I got a call from Sydnie on Saturday the 4th and she said her friend who was down from Ohio for the 4th had lost her engagement ring in the lake right behind her house. They were floating about fifteen to twenty feet from the dock. Before I could make it over there they had to return home without the ring. I was able to get there for the search on Tuesday. I geared up for the search using my Manticore with the Gray Ghost Amphibian headphones and a sand scoop. Fortunately the water was only around 4 to 4 1/2 feet deep there. The bottom was a very shallow layer of soft mud, maybe less that 2 inches, with a hard pan of clay underneath. That made it difficult to use a sand scoop, but I made it work. Closer in to the dock there was a lot of iron and other debris that made the going slow, but as I got further away from the dock those signals were further in between. The water was deep enough that I couldn’t see the screen on the Manticore, and the lost ring was white gold so I could concentrate on the low tones. After about an hour and a half I was at least twenty feet away from the dock, maybe a little more, and I got the tell tale double beep low tone that was very strong. The lost ring was white gold so I could concentrate on the low tones. I lifted the detector out of the water to see the screen and it said 06 for the target ID. With the hard pan clay down there it took me three attempts to get the target in the scoop, but there it was, a dainty white gold ring.

Ring lost at Mission Bay found

Kai put his rings in his pocket before playing smash ball on the beach at Mission Bay. After playing, he realized that sometime during the game his rings escaped his pocket and were now in the sand somewhere. One was found, but, the other eluded the search. He gave me a call, but, I was over an hour away celebrating the 4th at a friend’s house. I agreed to do the search after I got home later that night. Kai headed home, but, sent me a map and address of where they were staying and playing. After fighting all the beach traffic, I managed to get to the search area about 12:45am. An hour of gridding later, and no ring, I walked over to where his friends were staying to see if anyone was still up that could help narrow the search area. Sure enough, even though Kai had gone home, a friend of his was still there at the air B&B. I was then shown the spot where smash ball was being played and I found the ring a short time later at 2am. I texted Kai and planned on re-uniting him with his ring later that day. As you can see, Kai was very happy to get his ring back! a pleasure meeting you and thank you for the reward.

Wedding Ring Lost During a Water Ballon Fight-Found

Chris contacted me on Sunday morning and said his wife had lost her ring in the front yard while throwing water ballons on the 4th. He showed me the area they were at so I started there. I was fairly certain that early on in the conversation he said it was white gold, so I was mainly concentrating on shallow low signals. But, after around 30 minutes I got a very strong 72 on the Manticore with the telltale double beep that said it was very shallow or on the surface. A 72 is definately not white gold, but a silver or copper tone, and of course I investigated to see what it would be. It was the lost ring, and after looking at it I saw a 925 inside the band. So it was silver and not white gold. His wife was estatic and said she went to sleep crying the night before. In my book they are newlyweds, only 6 months in. A successful recovery!

Wedding Band Lost While Preparing Raised Plant Bed-Found!

Nick contacted me and said that his wife had lost her wedding band while preparing a raised plant bed, but she wasn’t sure which one. He and his wife has a matching tungsten carbide band set. The first bed I checked had a good signal, but it turned out to be a larger deep signal. The second bed was larger in size, but all of them had galvanized metal sheeting for the side walls. That was a problem, but I managed to work around it. In the second bed I found a signal that was showing a 30 on the Manticore, but was close to the metal side wall so that number may have been skewed. That 30 on the Manticore turned out to be her ring. It was about four inches deep. The total seach time was only about twelve minutes.

Lost Pendant in Riverton: Found and Returned

Courtney and her sister and mother had received matching pendants as gifts. During a Fourth of July celebration with her family, Courtney removed her pendant to swim in a pool. After swimming, she retrieved her pendant and walked across a lawn, but then she realized that her cherished pendant had disappeared. The whole family searched the grass, but they couldn’t find the small pendant, so she called me and asked me for help. Some searches take a hours, but some take only minutes. Beautiful Gold/Onyx Signet Ring Lost, Recovered and Returned in Middletown, DE!!!!

Brandon was a referral from fellow Ring Finder, Alan Seeney. Brandon got in touch after losing a very sentimental gold ring in his friends backyard in Middletown, DE. The ring was was on a chain around his neck when he was horsing around with some kids. He discovered at some point the chain broke and the ring dropped. He and his friends searched for hours. He even purchased a metal detector in hopes of finding himself. Countless folks purchase or rent a metal detector in an attempt to find themselves but in most cases they end up calling a ring finder anyway. The experience of the detectorist is more important then the machine….though the machine is important too. While vacationing with friends, Joshua was tossing a football when his gold wedding band slipped off and disappeared into the sand.
