Mike gave me a call yesterday about his wife’s lost wedding band. The couple was on the beach in Avalon, NJ when Carly’s engagement ring and wedding band flew off her finger into the sand while applying sunscreen. They found the engagement ring but could not find the band. Mike called me and I met them shortly after to start the search. After a few swing of the metal detector, the ring was back on her finger.

I received a call from Tony’s wife Blyss about his lost wedding band in North Wildwood, NJ. He placed the ring on his knee before applying sunscreen and forgot it was there. It fell off his knee and disappeared in the sand as soon as he stood up. I met the couple on the beach and the ring was found in less than 30 seconds.

Lost ring Cape May, NJ….FOUND!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

The client explained that at some point this evening she believed that she may have dropped her ring in the sand while at the beach with her brother whom was taking aerial photos of the sunset. The client realized the ring was gone while at dinner so the area it was lost was potentially anywhere between her home, the beach, and the diner (several miles total). After meeting up we took a ride down and the client approximated the search area. After 15-20 minutes the ring was back on the clients finger, much to her relief.

Clients review of service: “This evening I attempted to enjoy the sunset at the cove in Cape May. As I was leaving I realized my $6000.00 wedding ring fell off. I was so upset obviously and was referred to Jeff Laag to help with the recovery. Jeff answered my call immediately and was at my house in no time. It wasn’t until I went back down to the cove with him and pointed out the rather large area I was roaming around, that I realized it was probably a pretty bleak chance he was going to find it. He began his search when about 15 minutes or so he asked me to once again describe it. When I provided him with the description, he pulled out my ring he found in the sand!!! I can’t thank him enough for giving me back not only my ring but all the memories that went with it. Thank you Jeff!! If you lose anything on the beach please do yourself a favor and call Jeff. I’m so thankful I did.”

Stone Harbor NJ Lost Wedding Ring Found by Dave Milsted

Contact:

I received a desperate email from a devastated woman. I was Mary’s last hope. The day before she went with her family for a day trip to the beach in Stone Harbor NJ. While her husband in the water with their daughter, he watched his ring fall off his hand and sink into the sandy bottom. They searched for a while with no success.

They drove back home thinking that the ring was gone forever. A search of the internet, later that night brought Mary to the Ring Finders site since I have made other recoveries in Stone Harbor. She sent me an email around midnight.

I didn’t see it until after my 6-mile run the next morning. I answered her email asking all of the questions needed when doing a water search. I also followed up with a phone call. Mary answered all of my questions, but she said there was someone else already looking for the ring. I said to let me know if she needed me when he was done.

Later in the morning, I called the other detectorist. He said that he didn’t have any luck in finding it. So Mary and I were in touch again. I told her that I would go look for her.

On the drive to the beach, I was getting a gut feeling that this wouldn’t be successful. Someone else already searched the area. I asked for help from above from my mom & my mentor.

I got to the beach and got another bad feeling. I waited till the lifeguards left. I was in the water at 5 pm. I didn’t get my first signal till 5:10 pm. It was a very promising sound and number on my CTX 3030. It was the ring that I was looking for. I left the beach to get my phone to take some pictures. I sent one to Mary. She called right away and I could tell that she was crying. We made arrangements to meet the next day to return the ring.

I got plenty of hugs when we met. It’s a good thing that my wife doesn’t get jealous!!!

Clients review of service:

“Thank you to the full moon and back, Jeffrey Laag! I had lost my wedding band, engagement ring, birthstone ring (a gift from the hubs after the birth of our second daughter), and a Celtic knot ring I’ve worn for years. Jeff was so very kind and efficient. And he found them after two days of being lost on the beach. Can’t thank you enough! I can now enjoy the rest of our vacation.”
