Diamond Wedding ring lost in Sanford, Florida yard…..Found!!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Last summer Mandi was doing some painting in her house when she noticed she had gotten paint all over her wedding and engagement rings.  She removed her rings and took them outside to the garden hose along side of the house to wash the paint off.  After turning the hose on she opened her hand and realized she was missing her diamond ring!  She quickly retraced her steps back to the front of the house and soon figured out that her ring was probably lost in the thick Florida crab grass and it would take hours to find!  She called a friend who had an older model metal detector and he looked the area over but could not find the ring.  A few days later the friend contacted me and asked if I would do a quick search—and that is exactly what it was! QUICK!!    In less than a minute my Whites DFX metal detector gave a clear ring reading and there hiding in the grass was Mandi’s beautiful diamond ring!!

Have you lost something that you would  like me to find?  I am here to help!

I too really love this job!

Lost Wedding Ring in Daytona Beach, Florida surf…Found!!

  • from Sanford (Florida, United States)
Contact:

Monday afternoon I received a call from Joe asking if I could possibly help him find his ring.  On Saturday he and his new bride of only 8 days, were swimming in the ocean when he felt his wedding ring slip off his finger and into the churning water!   He tried looking for his ring but the waves and surf were not co-operating and he soon gave up hope.  Two days later he found the ringfinders.com and gave me a call.  After hearing the details of how he lost it and the time of day I assured Joe that the chances of finding his ring were very good!

About an hour into the grid search my Dual Field detector gave off a nice clear signal and out popped Joe’s ring!  Joe was super thrilled to have his ring back and I was thanking God for another exciting and successful ring search!

Have you lost something valuable recently or not so recently?!!

Call me and let’s talk—there still may be hope!

I too really love my job!

Joe writes:  Mike is an absolute saint!  Lost my ring the first day of my honeymoon and I found Mike on Google!!  He spent a long time searching and surprised me with the ring!  He’s a great guy and does a respectable thing!  Thank you Mike!

Lost ring at Del Mar Beach Found!

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

This was another group find! Laura and her husband were enjoying Del Mar beach when her husband lost his tungsten carbide wedding band in about 4′ of water. She did an online search and came up with Stan Ross’s name and sent him an e-mail asking for help. Stan was unable to do it right then and forwarded the e-mail on to me to see if I could take the call. I recieved this e-mail after midnight so I was unable to contact anyone for more details. Not wanting to miss the great low tide at 5:15 am, I figured I might as well give it chance based on the directions I received. Upon arriving at the beach at 3:45 am, I located what I thought was the spot… down a ramp, just south of the sewer pipe and out on the first sand bar. I made two passes and hit a ring! I couldn’t believe it, it couldn’t be that simple! I was right, it wasn’t their ring. I continued gridding that whole area and no luck. As the dawn made visibility a lot better, I looked farther south and noticed another ramp and a storm drain outlet just south of the ramp. Ok, grid this area just like the last. Still no ring. While searching that area, I met another detectorist named Tony. We talked for a while and I asked him if he might have found this ring but he hadn’t. He volunteered to help and we went over the area again. Still no good. That afternoon I contacted Laura and got more specific directions as to the “spot”. Sure enough, it was the second search area.

The next morning, I figured I’d give it another try. The beach and sand had changed a bit from the previous morning so I was hopeful. I started the grid again and noticed that Tony had also showed up again. We both went over that same area but still came up dry. I called Laura to give her the bad news and told her that I would keep it on my “not found yet” list and would let her know if I found it in the future or if I heard of anyone finding it.

Well, Tony calls me a couple of days later and says he thinks he found the ring! He went back and hunted that same area again and came across a tungsten carbide ring about 8″ down that looked like a match to the ring photo I showed him. A much more pleasant e-mail and phone call resulted and we arranged a time and place for us all to get together and get that ring heading home. A big thanks to Tony for his determination in finding the ring and thank you Laura for the reward. It just goes to show you how sand movement can cover and then expose targets. Keep the faith everyone!

Lost Wedding Rings on Mother’s Day … Aliso Beach, Laguna, CA. … Found in the Sand

  • from Newport Beach (California, United States)

Sunday … May 11, 2014

I’m starting to believe that ” THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES”

Last week I found a nice wedding band set while searching for another lost ring. I had a call from a lady who had lost a ring 5/5/14 at Aliso Beach, CA. It seems she was putting on sun screen and had taken off her ring forgetting to put it on after applying the lotion. Six days had passed with beach cleaning machines and other detectorists, but I wanted to give it a try. When I arrived at the beach there were still a lot of people on the beach. I started messing around back away from the search area to use up some time till I could start my grid search. I did a two hour two way grid search for the ring lost last week with no success.

While working my way up to the beach front a lifeguard came up to me telling me about another lady that had lost her ring. I walked about 50 yards. When I got close Landan and her mother-in-law, Julie came up to me with surprised looks on their faces. They were at their wits end and couldn’t believe that some guy with a metal detector had just showed up out of no ware.  They had gone home and tried to locate a someone that could help them find the lost ring with no luck. It was Sunday and they could not get anyone to answer their calls. They returned to the beach to resume running their fingers through the sand.  Ladan told me that she had been playing in the sand with her daughter about noon when she noticed she had lost her ring. I confidently told her it should be an easy search, but then she told me that she had made several trips to the water to fill a bucket with wet sand. That could be a major problem, but I tried to stay positive.  People were all over the area and they all seemed to know about Ladan’s dilemma. I was able to find the larger ring within a few minutes. Nobody noticed that I retrieved the big ring in my sand scoop, so I set my detector down, walked over and presented it to Ladan. The tears of joy flowed. It was a special moment for her and everyone around the area. Then she said you’ve found the big one. I realized that she had lost the wedding band also. In the excitement they forgot or I didn’t hear that there was two rings lost. It was a matter of a few more swings of my search coil and within 4 feet of the first ring. A very special Mother’s Day for Ladan to remember.  One of the ladies on the beach came over to me after things settled down saying that she had been praying for the last two hours that Ladan would find her rings.  I’m going to add a personal email that Julie ( relative of Ladan) sent me.

Email from Julie:    GRATEFUL

Dear Stan, you were our “Dragon Slayer” today. My daughter-in-law felt completely helpless until you appeared with your twinkling blue eyes and confident attitude! And then in a matter of minutes you found her rings and released her from her pain.  Now, her pain was not about losing valuable objects. It was about her husband and the love the rings represent, HIS LOVE FOR HER! She wanted to find them more for him than for herself. It was an amazing Mother’s Day gift for me to discover Ladan’s sense of determination and depth of character. I have a wonderful new story to tell about what really matters in life. A true Mother’s Day gift. Thank You! I’ll never forget you……Julie

Lost and Found Gold and Diamond Ring in Cloverdale, BC

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

I got a call from young man by the name of Will yesterday afternoon explaining that his mother had lost her diamond anniversary ring of 25 years. He said when she went to tie her shoes the ring slipped off her finger and fell between the gaps of their front deck. They spend a lot of time searching the area and her husband went under the deck and looked around for the ring but couldn’t find it. They had plans later that day and I told them to enjoy themselves and I’d be over first thing in the morning to find the ring.

I told Will to let his mother know it would be found. I understand what a helpless feeling that is when you just can’t find something you know is there!

When I woke up this morning it was pouring rain, I put on my rain gear and started heading out to Cloverdale to meet Will and his father. When I got there we discussed the search and I saw where Will’s father had been looking under the front deck. He told me that it was the ring he gave his wife for their 25th anniversary and that was 25 years ago…They are married now for 50 years! Amazing…He looks like he’s 50!!

I set up my cameras and picked up my detector to search the perimeter and started my search under the deck. It didn’t take long before I got a good signal on the pin pointer and I moved the long grass and there was her beautiful diamond ring!

Unfortunately Will’s mother wasn’t there to see the rain being found but her husband will give it to her…Or will he? After talking to him I think he’s going to prank her…I love a good joke but I hope she doesen’t get mad and kick him out…

Thank you Mr. Hebert and Will for the very kind reward!

I love my job! Lost something? Call me ASAP!

The first thing he said to me was this ring will be re-sized, I never want to loose it again.

Lost Man’s Wedding Ring in Groveport, OH. “FOUND”

  • from Newark (Ohio, United States)
Contact:

I received a call from a guy that he just lost his Tungsten Wedding Ring a couple of hours ago. He lost the ring as he was swatting at a bee. On his downward swing the ring fell off into the grass and trees. I showed up and started searching in the grass, then around the trees and bushes with no luck. I continue searching, as I was looking deeper into the pine tree there was the ring. After looking on how the ring came to its resting place. I came up with that the ring had to leave his hand then hit the concrete porch floor then bounce off the side of the house then go through about twenty feet of grass then another three feet into the pine tree. He was happy that the ring was found.

Lost Ring in Arlington, Texas….Found!

  • from Fort Worth (Texas, United States)

Found my first ring with RingFinders!

I received a call from Jerry Sessions from Arlington, Tx., on Thursday May 15th 2014. He explained that he lost his ring last year, (spring 2013) while gardening in his backyard, and was pretty sure of the location. He tried to locate it with a rented metal detector but could not locate it. He happened across Ringfinders online and called me. I scheduled with him to come out on Saturday May 17th. I started searching at 5:30pm and dug several clad coins along with other items and trash. At about 7:45 we agreed that I would come back to continue, he went inside to get me a check for my trip charge when bam at 7:50 I received a strong signal in the grass area. When he came out I asked is this what your looking for. He was very excited and called his wife out, she was also very excited and happy, and she took some pictures of us. I was really glad that I kept searching. It was an honor  to find your ring Jerry, Thank you for the reward.

Copper Bracelet lost at Redondo Beach, CA…Found!

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

I received a call today to get in touch with a man who had lost a bracelet. I called LC to find out about the loss. He explained to me that it is seemingly insignificant, but that there was a strong emotional attachment to it. When he explained to me what this bracelet meant to him (something only LC could share), I understood the emotion. Also he said that he was going to be seeing the person who had given it to him in the next week, so there was a sense of urgency involved as well. I happened to be in Huntington Beach, CA at the time so I knew the time element was working against me, and headed immediately to Redondo Beach. When I got there, the lifeguard showed me where they had been looking, so I concentrated my search in that area with no success. Soon after, a family that had been next to the search area left for the day, and I proceeded to search that area as well. Not two minutes later, the bracelet was in my hand. LC and I arranged to meet at a local coffee shop so I could return his bracelet. It was a time of joy for him to see what he wasn’t sure he would ever see again. So the story of this seemingly insignificant copper bracelet continues.

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search,  Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

May 14th I got a phone call from Julia and she asked for my help to recover her Russia Gold wedding band. I arranged to search the next day.

After meeting with Julia and understanding that this ring had travelled three continents to get to her and now it was lost after only three weeks, I had to put my best effort into recovering it for her.

Well I am glad to say after less then ten minutes Julia is wearing her ring once again.
