Two Lost Gold Rings Found at Nevada Beach, Lake Tahoe

  • from South Lake Tahoe (California, United States)

Received a phone call at 12:23PM regarding a lost family heirloom ring at Nevada Beach. The caller was from LA County and wouldn’t be able to meet me at the ring loss location since they were currently driving back home. The client explained that their grandmother—wearer of the ring—noted the very moment she lost it and they all noted the location. That bit of info was encouraging. They returned the next morning to search for the lost ring, but were unsuccessful.
As I drove to Nevada Beach, further details were revealed. The grandmother had taken two rings off and intended to put them in her purse. As she was about to place the rings into here purse, they slipped out of her hands falling and disappearing into the deep sand.
Wait a minute …..TWO RINGS! Yes, she lost two gold rings the previous evening around 6:00PM and Nevada Beach was exceptionally crowded prior to the July 4th fireworks.
Two gold rings, one an irreplaceable family heirloom. Okay, now my big worry was whether the rings had been found by a treasure hunting metal detectorist earlier that morning—July 5th.
Arriving at Nevada beach I headed straight to the described ring loss location—seven to ten feet behind a bench to the left of the boardwalk. After searching for 10 minutes with no success, I remembered that the boardwalk to the south also had a bench immediately to the left. There are 3 boardwalks at Nevada Beach, but only 2 with a bench immediately to the left. So I headed straight to the south boardwalk.
After a couple of swings, I got a strong target, but it turned out to be a pull-tab. The second target was a solid VDI of 60 on my XP Deus 2 metal detector. At 2:48PM, I sifted my scoop revealing two gold rings. The client and client’s grandmother were very happy.
Two gold rings recovered in 2 hours and 25 minutes from being notified.

Married yesterday lost ring today in Huntington Beach

I received a text if I was available to find a lost gold wedding ring in Huntington Beach. The friend told me his friend just got married yesterday and lost the ring today. They were playing volleyball when the ring came off his finger. It took about 15 minutes to find the ring and when I held it up the whole party of around 25 people started cheering and clapping.

Lost Gold and Diamond Engagement Ring Recovered in Deale, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:
I received a call from Mike this past weekend looking for my assistance in recovering his daughter’s lost engagement ring. Our initial plans to come out the next day was hampered by poor weather conditions so we moved it to the next day. This one was a bit challenging as the ring could be on land or in water about 4ft in depth. With that said, I brought both my land and water metal detectors with me. From here on out, I’ll let Julie, Mike’s wife, tell of her experience.
My daughter was going to go tubing with her husband and neighbors, so she put her engagement ring and wedding band inside her neighbor’s shoe on the pier to be safe and told her they were there. When they all returned to the pier, the neighbor’s little brother picked up his sister’s shoes to carry them back home, unaware that my daughter’s rings were in one of the shoes. He carried them on the pier, up a grassy bank and up to the house. When my daughter looked in the shoes, her wedding band was still in the shoe, but her engagement ring was gone. Her husband is from Africa and when she went to visit him and meet his family he proposed to her in Namibia. Her engagement ring from Africa was priceless to her. I immediately started Googling metal detectors and came across Jim’s website. My husband called him the next morning and he came out a day later due to the weather. My husband and young neighbor showed Jim the path that was taken with the shoes. Jim started searching on land and then moved to the water and then searched on land again a little farther out than he did at first. He found it! We are all forever grateful for Jim. He made a lot of people very happy that day!
I’m so glad that I was successful helping out Mike, Julie and their family. Great people and good conversation throughout the day!
Here are some pics…..when I first “heard” it…….
…..to when I exposed it through the grass…..
….to a clear pic of it’s beauty!

📌 Premium Travel Search Service – Connecticut (CT) | Finding Sentimental Treasures Hidden inside the Home

  • from Ponte Vedra Beach (Florida, United States)

Contact: Call or Text (714) 785-5111. Professional metal detecting service specializing in the recovery of lost family heirlooms and high-value jewelry. Headquartered in Florida, I am available for global travel to premium coastal and tropical resort destinations.

I recently traveled from sunny Florida up to Connecticut for a high-stakes recovery mission. I received a call from someone who had hidden a box of her late mother’s irreplaceable jewelry somewhere in her home for safekeeping, but had completely lost track of it.

After she searched everywhere herself, she reached out to see if I could bring my equipment north to help solve the mystery. While my specialty is outdoor beach recoveries, I packed up my gear and headed up. For this indoor search, I utilized high-precision handheld pinpointing probes rather than a full-sized detector.

We started the search in her primary walk-in closet, but after an hour of careful scanning, it was clear the box wasn’t there. Moving to the guest wing, I finally got a distinct signal inside a guest bedroom closet—the jewelry box was tucked securely inside the pocket of an old coat!

The look of pure relief when I reunited her with her mother’s jewelry is exactly why I do this work. It proves that no matter the location, no mystery is too tough to solve. Whether it’s a critical indoor search or a lost ring on an exclusive tropical beach, I am equipped to travel worldwide to bring your treasures home. ✈️🏝️

Steven and his wife Erin were enjoying the perfect beach day. The lake was a bit wavy, but Steven planned to get some time on the paddle-board. Upon mounting the board, things went south and Steven fell off in knee deep water. He felt his ring slip off. They consulted ChatGPT, which recommended me as a ringfinder option. There were quite a few metallic targets to sort through, but after about 15 mimutes, Ring in The Scoop. Happy wife!

Man’s Yellow Gold Wedding Band Lost in the Sand, Found and Returned Pawley’s Island SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

On Friday, July 10, 2026, at 5:40 p.m. I received a voice mail saying, “Hi, my name is Park. I am staying on Pawley’s Island and lost a wedding band. I found this number as a ring finder.” I was able to get the call before he hung up and found out additional details. He told me that he had taken the ring off to apply suntan lotion before going out on the beach. He also stated that he took his ring off and set it on the banister. He believed it had fallen or gotten knocked off into the area around the porch. He also stated it may be on the beach in the dry sand but was more convinced it was around or under the porch. He also told me that they had to check out by 10 a.m. Saturday. We arranged for me to show up at 8 a.m. and check out both areas.

I arrived on time and talked with Park who showed me the area around the porch that he suspected the ring was. Luckily, the area was mostly dead leaves and a couple of sticker bushes. He told me the wedding band was yellow gold; I had my Equinox 800 so I knew the ring would show up in the 15-17, maybe 18 range on the VDI (visual display indicator) depending on the size of the ring. I searched all along the porch area and got nothing in the range I expected. From there, Park and I walked out to the beach, but Park wasn’t really sure the ring would be out there. He showed me the area and went back to the house to finish packing and loading the car. The area was maybe 15X20 ft and wouldn’t take long. I started an east/west grid line outside the suspected area. About my fifth or sixth line I got a solid 16 on the VDI and about 3-4 inches deep. I left my scoop in the car because I didn’t think I’d need it, wrong! I started sifting the sand through my fingers and saw Park’s yellow gold band lying in the hole I had made. Bingo!! I walked back to the house and knocked on the door. Park’s wife opened the door and called Park to come downstairs. About halfway down he asked if I had found it. I held it up and said, “Yes.” He instantly perked up and was so excited he had his ring back. I think it’s going to be a much happier ride home to DC.

Park – Thank you for calling me and trusting me to help find your lost wedding band. Take care!

Jim

Large Platinum Men’s Wedding Band Lost, Recovered and Returned in West Chester, PA!!!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Joseph found me in the Ring Finder directory. The week before he was having a wonderful time  kayaking the Brandywine River in West Chester, PA when tragedy struck! He pulled to the side to assist his wife with her canoe and while doing so he heard something bang and bounce off his kayak. About 60 seconds later and 5 yards down river he suddenly realized his large platinum wedding band was missing. It was obvious that the sound he heard was his ring bouncing off the kayak and into the river. He sent his family ahead to continue down river and stayed back and searched for his ring in the 1-2 feet deep water but had no luck. He and his wife returned several times during the week with handheld pinpointer metal detectors to try to locate the lost ring. At some point Joseph’s wife suggested hiring a professional and they got in touch with me. I met Joseph on a Saturday morning (exactly 1 week after the ring was lost) and we marched upstream 10-15 minutes to the site where Joseph was positive the ring dropped. He re-enacted what occurred and gave me some accurate and detailed parameters of where he was standing when the ring fell off. I was using my Minelab Manticore metal detector with a large search coil. A large platinum wedding band has a unique booming signature on my machine…and i knew exactly what signal I was listening and hoping for. Well…its didn’t take long…10 minutes into search…BOOM…there was the signal I was hoping for. I yelled to Joseph and pointed down…I told him I like the signal. I got out my pin pointer and searched the 1 foot deep water….my pinpointer buzzed that it was hitting metal. I moved several small rocks….THERE IT WAS! I think Joseph saw it shimmering in the water before I did! We both let out a few whoops and hollers and celebrated with high fives! EPIC! So happy to come through for Joseph and get his ring back on hos finger where it belongs!!!

Lost Ring in Red Butte Gardens: Found and Returned

When Sarah was married eleven years ago, she and her husband had a local jeweler design and create matching white gold wedding bands. Recently, while Sarah was teaching an outdoor yoga class to cancer patients at Red Butte Gardens, she lost her ring. After searching everywhere, retracing her steps, and looking anywhere the ring could possibly be, she called me. I was able to bring my metal detectors to Red Butte Gardens that same day, and after searching for only about five minutes, we found her ring!

Half of Pendants Lost in the Ocean Have Been Found Along North Carolina Shores

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Emerald Isle, NC – Heather was swimming with her mother in chest deep water when she wanted to swipe some seaweed from her swim top.  Unfortunately, it was her gold necklace with 2 golden pendants attached that she snagged.  The chain broke and the charms disappeared.  Her mother posted on social media about the missing charms including a picture of a gold horn and gold cross.

After searching the area, I managed to dig up the golden horn and unfortunately after 4 attempts, have not found the golden cross.  Heather was thankful for getting the horn returned and hopefully we will meet one more time for her to retrieve her gold cross!

Lost platinum wedding ring, FOUND!

Wildwood Crest, New Jersey By Jeffrey Laag

I received a call from Ed the other night. Ed explained that he was on the beach in Wildwood Crest NJ enjoying some time with family and in the surf with his son tossing a football. At some point during his visit, Ed’s platinum wedding band slipped off his finger unbeknownst to him. Ed wasn’t entirely sure “when” he lost his ring but he was fairly certain that it was somewhere on the beach or in the surf. First thing, the next morning, I rode over to Lotus Ave and met Ed on the beach. Ed showed me the specific areas he was at the day before and pointed out the approximate area he was at in the surf. The tide was already about an hour and a half incoming so I checked where he had been sitting and all of the remaining wet and shallow surf. I knew chances would be much better if I searched at dead low tide so I planned on returning later in the afternoon when the tide was low. I rode back over in the afternoon, about an hour before low tide, and began searching the shallow water. After about 60 minutes of searching I managed to pull a butterfly ring and a few other coins and trash targets. About ten minutes later I swung my coil over a clean, distinct signal. After two scoops, Ed’s ring appeared from the water in my scoop! I texted Ed the good news and he immediately came back down to the beach to retrieve his ring, in total amazement! Another happy ending, another satisfied client!

Ed’s review: “Jeff found my wedding band a day after I lost it in the ocean off of Lotus Beach in the Crest. Amazing that he was able to find it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
