‘I decided to go down to red river beach in Harwich after I left work. While I was wandering around with my detector I came across a signal that really rang my ears bad, I figured that there was a few cans buried there and that I really didn’t want to find another pile to bring to the trash but a light sweep of my foot revealed a rather large watch. I left the beach shortly after popping the watch from it’s shallow grave I showed the watch to my father who asked if it came from red river , I said yes and he informed me that a man had come in to his work asking if it had been found and left his contact info in case it was found. The next morning I got the mans information and gave him a call, I told him where I got his number and that I look for lost items for people. I asked him to describe the watch in detail he said it was a TAG HEUER AQUARACER stainless band with blue outer ring and inner face. I said well that’s a good description and that it matched the one in my hand, needless to say I think he was shocked, we spoke for a few more minutes he gave me his address and the watch was sent out the next morning to North Carolina. It arrived at his office today via usps and I received a text with a picture of the watch where it belonged 

Jon was preparing to play volleyball when he placed his sentimental necklace in a bag for safe keeping.  On the journey from the beach house to the shoreline beach, the necklace slipped out of the bag and hide in the soft sand.  A phone call to me later that evening was to request to rent a metal detector.  After I explained that I search for lost items, Jon wanted me to come out as soon as possible.  With the use of flashlights I started searching and finding many bottle caps in the process.  Finally my coil swung over Jon’s necklace and I sifted the sand through my fingers to lift up his lost treasure.

I received an email from Samantha stating that, the day after they were married, she and her husband Brian went to Muskegon State Park where he lost his new wedding ring.  She spent most of that day looking for it on the beach with a borrowed metal detector with no luck and that it may have been lost in the water.  She had pretty much lost hope of finding it, but if I’d like to try looking she would meet me at the State Park the next day.

After giving me an idea of the approximate location the ring may have fallen off,  I set out to do a grid search in Lake Michigan.  It took close to an hour but in about waist deep water I finally saw gold in my scoop!  What a beautiful ring.  Another happy ending and another picture for my Book of Smiles 🙂

I was at work when I received a phone call from a gentleman who told me that his daughter had lost her ring at the park. He asked if I could help her,  I said of course, I asked him to have his daughter call me so I can discuss the search time and place.

After talking to Sabrina for approximately 10 minutes in regards to her lost ring, I felt confident we would find it. I also knew how important it was to find because it was gifted to her by her late grandmother, this ring meant the world to her! I could hear it in her voice!

I arrived at 9 PM on the side of the street where I met Sabrina and her father, we walked to the park and she show me what had happened and where she was sitting when the ring came off her finger. I did a reenactment and watch my ring land on the sidewalk, this made me think if they hadn’t checked the sidewalk someone may have already found it. Sabrina was very confident that she saw the ring bounce up off the pavement and go into the bushes along the side of the walkway.

I started my search and after close to an hour and a half and no ring I decided to look under the bench that she was sitting on, to my surprise there was her beautiful gold ring! It was very dark so I put the ring in my hand and told them I needed to go back to my car and get another metal detector.

I did this because it was so dark I knew I wouldn’t be able to get the footage of her smile and reaction when I surprised her with the ring… When we got to the car I started up my camera and videotaped her by asking  a couple of questions about the ring and the search.

I love getting the reactions of people for the first time when they see their ring… it’s priceless!!

Christian was spending a beautiful day on the beach with his 9 month old along his side.  For safe keeping, Christian placed his wedding ring in one of his shoes that he had removed.  Seeing that his little one needed attention, he leaned over to tend to his child when his foot kicked and accidentally kicked the shoe containing the ring.

After failing to locate the ring is the soft sand, he resorted to the internet and called me to assist.  I sensed an urgency in his voice and headed to his location promptly.  Christian showed me the lines in the sand I asked him to mark the boundaries of where he believed the ring to be located.  Starting in the middle of his box it was only a couple of search lines before his ring spoke to my detector.  As the sand sifted through my fingers his wedding ring appeared.

Erika and her family were visiting the cape from Canada, they were staying a very short walk from a private beach in Eastham. While sitting in her beach chair in the water her ring came off her finger and buried in the sand in about 1ft of water . I received a text from her around 1030pm on aug 26 but my phone was in my truck, Monday morning came around and I responded to her when I got to work and we made arrangements to meet after I got out of work. I got to the house they were staying at around 6pm we walked to the beach and about 10 minutes later the ring was back on her finger
