Lost wedding ring in Hart Springs, Bell, Florida found by Florida ring finder Mike McInroe

Alexis and her husband were enjoying a fun day at Hart Springs and after jumping off of the high platform two times he realized that he still had his wedding ring on and it was feeling just a bit loose. Alexis was standing behind the railing by the edge of the jumping platform when he removed his wedding ring and handed it to Alexis for safe keeping and she slid it onto her index finger thinking it would be fine. But her husband thought it needed to be put on her middle finger so as she attempted to remove his ring from her index finger it all of a sudden popped off and dropped into the water below sinking straight way to the bottom of the spring. Alexis and her husband were stunned and after a few minutes they attempted to dive down and retrieve their now “lost ring”! It was close to 14 feet deep and their attempts were futile which made the situation even more intense…especially since they were just married not even two months ago! Alexis went online and found theringfinders.com and in the “Directory” noticed that there was no one else closer to Hart Springs that could help her and figured that maybe I could…being as I was scuba certified and in the Orlando area…145 miles away!! But when Alexis told me what happened and described how they saw exactly where the ring hit the water…I knew that there was a very, very high likelihood of being able to recover it and so we made plans to meet the next day. My dear wife accompanied me early the next morning and two and a half hours later and in a slight drizzle we met Alexis and she showed us the platform and it didn’t take me long to set up my scuba tank, 50 foot hose and diving gear and down into the water I went. I carefully grid searched a 10X20 foot area and found two rings and other items and thankfully one of the rings was Alexis’s husbands ring and to say she was relieved and thrilled…was a bit of an under statement! Come to find out Alexis’s husbands birthday was on this very day and she wanted to be able to surprise him with his “lost” ring and she told me later that it was amazing! How I thank God for allowing me to be used to be a help and a blessing to this dear young couple!

While watching my oldest daughter at soccer practice, my two year old ran towards her on the field; to avoid her being trampled by enthusiastic players, I picked her up. I instantly notice my rose gold wedding band slip off my finger. Within minutes, the whole team, the coach, and a group of helpful parents search the area. After an hour of searching, we gave up. The next morning, I purchased my own metal detector and searched the area for hours with no luck. I found Jeremy on the ring finder website, and he was confident he could find it. After searching the soccer field for a while, he was able to find my ring!9

Man’s Tungsten Wedding Band Lost on the Beach – Found in the Wet Sand and Returned, Cherry Grove SC

On Monday, September 22nd and a little after noon, I received the following text, “Hey Jim Wren, My name is Michael, and I lost my wedding ring while at North Myrtle Beach this weekend. Based on photos, I know I lost it at some point yesterday before 1:30pm but I had it that morning around 9am in some family photos – we then went to church, back to the place we stayed and then out to the beach…Idk if it’s in the sand or the water but I hadn’t gone past that shore for a bucket of water or anything by the time the first photo shows it missing. This time I can’t remember taking it off my finger but the day before I did and put it in a bag pocket and I checked the few places I would’ve put it and can’t find it. It’s kinda broken so it may be separated or in one piece. It says “Rocio 3/19/22” on the inside.” Michael also sent a map showing where he stayed and where he suspected the loss happened. He also texted, “I had stayed here and went to this beach access straight up the road.” I called him and didn’t get a response but did get a text that he was in a business meeting. He called a little bit later and I got a few more details. I asked him if he had any pictures that might give me a better idea of where he lost it. Just prior to me leaving, Michael sent me a picture showing a perfect view of the area of loss from the ocean to the back of the resort.

I arrived to the beach about an hour before how tide, so I had the opportunity to search from mid-tide to the low tide line. I started a grid line search from the north side of the resort and worked perpendicular to the beach. I had my Equinox 800 and knew a Tungsten Ring would ring up in the 15-18 VDI (visual display indicator) range. I was probably on my 8th line when I got a strong 15 on the VDI. I dug a scoop of sand out and checked the hole. I had the target in the scoop, so I dumped the scoop on the beach and spread the sand out with my foot. I ran the coil over the sand and hit the target, looked down and saw his ring. I picked his ring up and gave it a good look to see if it was broken like he mentioned. The ring looked in one piece to me. I also ran the coil back over the hole and the spread-out sand to double check and make sure there was nothing else. I made a quick video showing Michael the area I searched and then raised his ring up in view of the camera saying, “I found it.” I also sent the picture showing his ring and letting him know the engraving matched. I called him and he asked about the ring being in 1 piece. I told him it was, but I really hadn’t understood what he was talking about. I looked at the picture he originally sent and finally saw the bottom piece of the ring that had been in the picture. I told him that I’d go back out the next day and search for the bottom piece. On the way home I got his ring in the mail and on its way. When I got back the next day, I did a complete grid search from the north end to the south end of the resort and from the mid tide line to the water and didn’t have any luck.

Lost Gold Bracelet Found in North Wildwood Garden!

Kate was gardening in North Wildwood, NJ when something unfortunate happened — she lost her beloved gold bracelet. She searched the area carefully but had no luck finding it. Feeling frustrated and disappointed, she remembered hearing about the Ring Finders South Jersey.

That’s when she contacted me — her local North Wildwood ring finder.

I answered her call right away and asked a few key questions about where she thought she lost it. Kate explained she had been moving plants and spreading mulch when she noticed the bracelet was gone.

Luckily, I was nearby and told her I’d be there in 10 minutes. I grabbed my metal detector and headed over.

When I arrived, we walked around the yard. Kate pointed out a grassy area and the garden where she had been working. I began searching the grass first. After a few passes, the detector stayed silent. No signals there.

Then I moved to the garden bed where Kate had spent some of her time that morning. Almost instantly, my metal detector gave off the sound I had been listening for!

I carefully dug into the soil, pushing aside the fresh mulch. About five inches down, I spotted a glimmer of gold — the bracelet was found!

Kate was so relieved. She said, “Thank you for finding the bracelet, it is very special to me!” Hearing that made my day.

She explained that it must have slipped off while she was moving soil and plants. The bracelet had great sentimental value, and she thought it was gone forever. But thanks to the Ring Finders South Jersey and a fast response, she had it back in no time.

It was an awesome day in North Wildwood, NJ — one that ended with a happy reunion between Kate and her lost jewelry.

Nothing puts a damper on a fun weekend like losing something valuable—especially something that can’t be replaced.

John had been camping with family and friends on a quiet farm in Franklinville, NJ. It was the kind of weekend you remember—good food, great people, and time away from the noise. But at some point during the night, while playing around, John’s gold wedding band flew from his finger and disappeared into the grass.

He searched the area with help from his friends, but no luck. Later that night, around 4 a.m., I got a text about the lost ring. We spoke early the next morning, and I agreed to meet him at the site.

Using my metal detector, I mapped out a grid to begin the search. At first, nothing. Just scrap metal and typical ground junk. After about 25 minutes of expanding the grid and scanning deeper into the surrounding area—finally, the signal I was hoping for.

I dug carefully, and out came a beautiful gold ring.

John was thrilled—and deeply emotional. This ring wasn’t just a wedding band. It had once belonged to his father, who had recently passed. Getting it back meant the world to him.

Timely Metal-Detecting Recovery of 2-Week-Old Wedding Ring, Bristol Beach, Falmouth, Massachusetts

27 September 2025.  Ryan’s bright new wedding ring disappeared into the Bristol Beach sand on this warm sunny day.  Ryan was manipulating a beach chair when his hand was pinched, and his natural reaction was to violently shake his left hand.  Unfortunately that propelled his ring off his finger and sent it flying somewhere into the soft sand.

Not knowing where the ring might have ended up, it would have been fruitless to try randomly sifting through the sand, so Ryan’s bride Alyssa searched online for help.  She found my RingFinder detecting service on the Fabulous Falmouth Facebook page and Ryan gave me a call.  I was happy to take a break from yard work and I arrived at the beach in about 20 minutes to do a search.

It didn’t take long.  I asked them to move their beach chairs and other gear away from the search area so I wouldn’t be hindered by stray metal signals, and within a short time I picked up that sweet signal I was looking for and had Ryan’s ring in my scoop.  It was close to where a chair had been and had not gone far when it flew off Ryan’s hand.  Fortunate!

Congratulations to Ryan and Alyssa on their marriage.  I’m happy to know that I was able to help them start off on a positive note.  It’s a good omen for the future!

Lost Gold Ring Found in Highland Michigan

Tales of The Gold Lion…….

Began many years ago when Brandon’s grandfather purchased his wedding ring while active in the military. Back home in the Detroit area he was employed at an iron/steel processing plant. The ring survived being well travelled and subject to intense heat and was eventually passed to Brandon’s dad who travelled for business. At this point the ring had travelled thousands of miles and was given to Brandon after his father passed. Brandon chose to be a bit different and only wore the ring to special occasions. How nice, he thought if his father could have seen him wear the ring. Brandon’s son was of the age of knowing about the ring, so Brandon decided at an important family gathering to let him wear it. But somewhere while playing with his cousins the ring disappeared. Brandon was worried and questioned: Would this be the last tale told of the ring? On the phone I told Brandon that hunting for a gold metal lion was the only safari I was interested in! Setting up my MXT metal detector I started to grid search the area where the kids remembered roughhousing it in the grass. As I scanned the detector coil over the grass, I heard a huge ROAR in my headphones! Reaching down thru the grass I saw the face of a lion staring back at me! Brandon came running over and I told him this is as close as I want to get to a real lion! His son quickly followed, and I let him try the metal detector on the ring which he thought was really cool. Ahhhh yes, the tales of treasure lost, and treasure found…… another tale of the gold lion! What other tales of the gold lion will be told? Only time will tell.

Lost diamond ring in the grass, Tavares Florida, found by Florida ring finder Mike McInroe

This ring search began after Apple was playing with her little one on a grassy area behind the house and as she came inside she realized her diamond ring was not on her finger. The ring was loose on her finger and she had every intention to get a silicone ring adjuster to help make it a tighter fit on her finger…because she knew that sooner or later it would come off and she could loose it for ever! Thankfully she found my number and later that afternoon I met Apple and she explained where sh had played in the yard and where her ring would most likely be. I set out my plastic markers and began an over lapping grid search. Ten minutes later I decided to expand my search and after another 10 minutes I spotted her lost ring just laying on the sparsely covered grass area another 20 feet out past where she thought it would be. Apple was very relieved to have her lost ring back and hopefully she will purchase on of those simple silicone ring adjustors to help keep her precious ring secure and safely on her finger.

Lost diamond engagement ring in car, Sanford Florida, found by Florida Ring Finder Mike McInroe

Sanford Florida resident Nadja texted me about a lost diamond engagement ring lost in a car and asked if I could help her. Here is her story. “Hi Mike! I found your number on theringfinders.com website and wanted to inquire about your services. I lost my engagement ring inside my car. I think it must have slipped down between the seats. We tried taking the seats out but came up with nothing. I see you mostly do grass, sand and water searches but am wondering if you are able to look in a car? This happened a few years ago in our 2011 VW Jetta. I was sitting in the back seat and I had the cup holder partition down and I was fiddling with my ring and it popped off of my finger and all I remember was it sounded like it hit something plastic and then it just disappeared! We pulled off the road to look for it but we could not find it. It wasn’t on the seat nor on the floor anywhere! We have searched several times over the years but have had no success. We are planning to donate the car this Friday since we do not use it anymore and I just wanted to give it one more try before we donate it. Just so I know I have tried all our options. I’ve always felt like it is somewhere in a crevice!”

I arrived the following day with my bag of supplies and listened to Nadja explain just what happened. I thought maybe her ring went down one of the air vents under the front seat or possibly slipped down along the front seat cracks in the carpet. Then a closer look at the cup holder arm that comes out of the back seat revealed an opening to the trunk. So I proceeded to remove everything in the trunk and searched every possible place where a small ring could hide and as I looked closer at the cupholder arm there was a small space where it hinges and I got out my handy dandy endoscope and stuck the camera with light attachment end down into the crack and immediately saw a quarter and a nickel. I had high hopes that if there were coins and gum wrappers tucked into that small space…surely a ring could be hiding there as well. I spent a good 15 minutes pushing and probing my endoscope into the corners and at every angle possible and I soon caught a glimpse of a diamond and setting and then Nadja’s lost ring came into view. Nadja’s husband came out to check on my progress and I told him that I can see the ring but that we will have to do some dismantling and he was ready to tear the back seat all apart! I removed a few screws and the cupholder came free and then it was only a matter of reaching down and picking up Nadja’s long lost ring! The young couple was overwhelmed and their joy and happiness was evident by the smiles on their faces. What a thrill it is to be able to help people in need of theringfinders special services. Lost Earring While Gardening

Got a call from a wonderful, beautiful senior citizen who lost her valuable gold earring she has had for 52 years from her late-husband. After several days of searching and even having a neighbor with a metal detector come over to assist they were unable to locate the missing item.  She said ‘my heart is so sad’.  After checking the internet she found The Ring Finders and gave us a call, which we immediately responded. In just a few minutes we were able to locate the earring under the thick grass at the edge of her beautiful garden. With tears in her eyes she held the item next to her heart and thanked us over and over.  God we love what we do.
