Lost ring found in Falmouth Heights, Cape Cod, Massachusetts

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

To find a lost ring; find a Ring Finder at: TheRingFinders.com Cape Cod, MA

That is all it took for Lindsay to reunite her husband and his ring that had fallen off in Nantucket Sound while swimming at Falmouth Heights Beach. It was just a short mini vacation to the Cape for a few good meals and a few hours on the beach away from the daily pressures of the Covid19 epidemic.

They were having a great time until the day before returning home. That’s when Mike’s ring slipped off his finger into the water. They thought of buying a replacement. After weighing all options it was decided to first give a Ring Finder a chance to locating the ring. Nothing more to loose they gave their friend’s recommendation to contact me a try.

When first contacted the tide and waves were such that I would not be able to get out far enough into the area the ring was lost at. The next day the swells were done to about a foot and the low tide was at 2:30. Perfect for shot at finding the ring. With e-mails and a picture of were the ring was lost in hand I found a “free” parking space and headed to the water. The second pass and I had the wedding band in my scoop.

I called Lindsay and made arrangements to return the ring via the USPS. A request for a photo of Mike with his reunited ring for the book of smiles.

Ring Lost On Shell Key, Recovered By SRARC

Marisol & Abdiel came from Kissimmee to enjoy the Gulf Coast for a few days. They joined a few friends on Shell Key to celebrate a birthday and while getting ready to swim Marisol was pulling her shirt off over her head when her new wedding ring flew off and disappeared in the sand. She had received the ring just 27 days earlier in celebration of her Three year anniversary. Luckily, Abdiel saw where the ring flew so they searched in the sand until they had to leave but had no luck. Thinking ahead, Abdiel marked the spot before they left with a stick. Later that evening He googled for lost rings and found SRARC. Joe Szemer made arrangements for Mike Miller to meet them the next morning. Due to the good planning by Abdiel, It took only a couple of minutes for Mike to find and return the ring. The smiles on their faces show the joy they felt to have their precious ring returned. It was SRARC’s pleasure to have been able to help them recover this special ring.

FOUND and Recovered

140 horse power Submersible Pump

I received a call from a local quarry operator who had lost the main submersible pump to keep the water levels down. Vandals had cut the supporting cables and instrumention mounts rendering everything both nonfunctional but also unable to be recovered to repair it.

A big recovery such as this requires some specialised equipment, good training and a buddy! Fortunately we did not need to go searching for this 2,000 pound piece of equipment since the cut cable lead us right to the pump in the 1 meter visibility water. In the above photo you can see the hook on the crane that was used to lift it out.

Start to finish the recovery took a little over 2 hours. Savings to the Operator close to $12,000.

No job too big!

Lost wedding ring Lake Ontario Park Kingston Ontario

Received an email from Andre yesterday, inquiring about me coming out to look for his lost wedding ring. Andre and his wife were at a rocky shoreline, at Lake Ontario Park in Kingston, where he went for a swim and lost his Wedding band in about waist deep water. Headed to meet him to see if we could find it for him.

Having looked at the forecast previously, and Mother Nature being on our side with keeping the winds fairly calm, I was able to get in the water and start looking for the ring. Conditions were challenging as the bottom was covered with large boulders, rocks and waves tossing me around back and forth. However, after 45 minutes of perseverance, was able to reunite Andre with his wedding ring. Really glad I could find it for him and especially since his second wedding anniversary is coming up in a couple of weeks. Life is good.

I received a call shortly after and headed up after work meeting Mr Lee and his Family! I started my grid search pattern with Mr. Lee in the water beside me and had no luck. The waters were calming down but there was still a little bit of an undertow. I had no luck after searching for 4 to 5 hours and decided to go back early Saturday morning! ***** Emil and his family had been at Santa Monica Beach in Southern California. The beach had been closed for a couple month and many people were taking advantage of getting out of the house after staying at home for such a long time. After returning home he realized that his Gold and Diamond ring was missing. He assumed the ring was lost at the beach.

Emil’s family were set up on the dry sand near the waters edge. They didn’t go swimming but did have some active playing in knee deep surf. These were places the ring could be hiding. Emil was able to find me while he was researching how to find a ring in the sand on a google search. He called me early the next morning. We met on Santa Monica Beach just north of the pier. A very heavily searched area by metal detector enthusiasts and raked daily by the beach maintenance personnel.

Emil was confident that he found the location they had been sitting the day before. I set up my equipment a began my grid search. Starting with the dry sand I could see evidence that this area had been search by other detectorists. I continued my scan of the area just as if no body
had detected it at all. After finding a few coins I had hopes that the persons that had been here before were not very thorough. We still had a chance to find the ring if it was lost here yesterday evening.

After finishing the dry sand, I started a grid on the damp sand. It was low tide so I wouldn’t have to go as far as the water level. Five grid lines down the wet sand slope I got a great signal. Two scoops down “Bingo” Emil’s 22k gold and diamond ring was in my scoop. I was very surprised, because I had only asked him if it was yellow or white gold. I had no idea it had so many sparkly diamonds. It was a bright sunny morning and that helped to just make that 22k gold with diamonds pop.

It was a great day and they kept saying “I can’t believe it” over and over.

Lost Diamond Ring Aquia Landing, Virginia…found!

Rob Ellis: Ring Recovery Specialist Underwater and on land …Lost Ring?… Call or text 703-598-1435.

On Saturday, Esmeralda and Rey were playing with friends in the water. When Esmeralda reached to catch a ball, her beautiful 10th anniversary diamond ring flew off her finger. They searched for hours to no avail. The next morning, Esmeralda emailed me for help.

Metal detecting for artifacts in the area is unlawful. So, I contacted the Stafford County Government to get permission for the search. Even though it was Sunday, I was able to reach Brett. He was very understanding and told me it was no problem as long as I was only looking for the ring.

Beach before Crowds

I met Rey at the beach and he showed me where they thought the ring landed. The water was about waist deep and there were many families enjoying the shallows. Since the spot was crowded, it took more time than anticipated. I forgot all that when I found the ring in the scoop. I am so happy to have helped a couple of patriots like Rey and Esmeralda!!!

Ring!

Rey Smile!

Rey and Esmeralda were so kind to post the story on their local Facebook news. I have already been contacted by people who saw their post! I also appreciate their generous reward, a portion of which was donated to the Fisher House Foundation https://fisherhouse.org/.

I was happy to retrieve trash during my search. As you can see in the photo, I removed jagged metal and glass just waiting to cut some unsuspecting swimmer’s foot.

***  After weeks of beach closures Ali’s family organized a family beach party at San Onofre State Beach, San Clemente  CA. While there Ali’s white gold diamond wedding ring set slipped off her finger into dry sand. Six or eight of their party attempted to find the rings. They did find the main ring but the enhancement ring could not be found.

Ali’s mother, Ester got into internet search mode, looking for metal detector services. She contacted a member of TheRingFinders who referred me to her. I left right away and was at San Onofre State Beach in a little more than a half hour. The beach had a limited entry quota and I got in a huge lineup up of surfer’s cars waiting their turn to enter the beach. ( possibly a 2 hour wait)

Ester saved the day by arranging with park officials to pick me up at the gate with her vehicle, saving a long waiting time. I loaded up my detector and scoop and we were at the location of the loss within minutes. Ali explained what happened and her husband Max told me it was a silver ring (wrong). It turned out to be white gold after I found it with less than a dozen swings of my detector search coil. The whole family group witnessed the quick recovery. They were amazed at how easy it was to find the ring after so many of them tried to search the small spot where the rings were dropped.

Ali and Max were excited and grateful to have their wedding rings back where they belong. The real hero was Ester , Ali’s mother, who found my contact information calling me and arranging for my entry passed the long line of surfers waiting to get into the crowded beach.

Wedding Ring Lost Two Years Ago, FOUND, in Quarryville, PA

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I was contacted by Patrick staying he had lost his titanium wedding band two years ago while mowing his yard. He took his ring off and sat it on the tractor while washing his hands. After he began to mow again, he realized what he had done and the ring had fallen off somewhere in the yard. He would occasionally search for it using a cheap metal detector but with no luck. He decided after two years he would see if anyone searched professionally. He found “The Ring Finders” and immediately called me. I met Patrick at his home and he showed me where he thought it fell off his tractor.  After about 30 min of searching with my Garrett ATPro, I was able to happily return his wedding band to him. I found the ring about 2 inches in the ground and although dirty had no damage to it.
