I received a call from a guy who told me his wife was besides herself. He explained that her mother passed recently and they made a 18K gold charm with her mothers fingerprint on the charm. They just got a new puppy and his wife was playing with the puppy on the lawn when she jumped up and grabbed the necklace and broke it. She was able to find the necklace but not able to find the small gold charm which was about the size of a dime. They even borrowed a friends metal detector and searched for hours without luck. I arrived to the house and they showed me the lawn where the charm was lost. The grass was vey thick and dense. It took me about 15-20 min to recover and return this very special charm.

TESTOMONIAL:

I cannot thank Adam enough! My mom passed away a year and a half ago! Her death was sudden and so difficult to accept. Shortly after her death, I had a charm made with her fingerprint to wear so that I would always have a piece of her with me! This past week we adopted the sweetest golden doodle puppy you’ve ever seen❤️ Her name is Juniper! I was in our front yard playing with Juniper, when she jumped up and grabbed my necklace. The chain caught on my shirt but the charm with my moms fingerprint went flying! Our grass is so dense and I could not find it anywhere! My husband and I searched for 3 hours or more! I even started to fear that maybe Juniper had swallowed it! My friend even let me borrow her metal detector that she bought for her children to take to the beach. No luck! 😢 my husband researched “ring finders” and found Adam! Adam assured us that if that charm was in our yard he would find it! He seemed very confident! When Adam got to our house we showed him the area where I was playing with Juniper. He began his search with his equipment and within 20 minutes had found my special charm!!!❤️ Adam was genuinely so nice and I believe he wanted to find it as much as I did!!! The empathy and kindness he showed was extraordinary! God NEVER fails in sending the right people at the right time!

Lost Keys Found in Snow – Pell Lake, WI

  • from Lake Geneva (Wisconsin, United States)

On January 12, 2024, a severe winter storm was sweeping its way across southern Wisconsin.  It dumped around 13 inches of heavy, wet snow and shut down schools and businesses.  Bill, like most Wisconsinites, was clearing his driveway and unfortunately lost his set of keys in the process.  This was not a usual set of keys.  It included two key fobs, shop keys, house keys, and a post office box key.  His emergency text went out at 10:00pm to Ringfinder Seth Tost of Lake Geneva, WI.

Ordinarily this might have been a simple search, but Bill did not realize his keys were missing until after he had cleared the snow and pushed it into compacted piles around the perimeter of his driveway, across the road, and 50+ feet down a side road.  The keys could have been anywhere.

Seth got the text the next morning and met up with Bill around 10 am.

Some searches that seem easy, can take a looooong time.  Others that appear to be a losing game from the beginning, end with that miracle find.  Today was that miracle find.  After a little over an hour, giving all areas a cursory scan, and digging through a few piles that seemed most logical, the keys were found about 30 feet down the road from Bill’s driveway.  The next city snowplow may have pushed them miles from this point.  What a joy to return this set of important keys!

Phone recovered at Sunshine in Banff National Park.

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

Josh called me. He found me right here on TheRingFinders.com.  While skiing he made a sharp turn on a steep hill and his phone fell out of his pocket and into the snow. Two days later we went up to take a look after noting that the Find My Phone app had it located as still being where the loss took place.  Watch the video to see what happened.

I-Phone lost in the surf, Lavallette NJ, Recovered by Edward Trapper, NJ Ring Finder

  • from Seaside Park (New Jersey, United States)

Tony was doing some surf fishing in Lavallette NJ early one Saturday morning with his buddies. It was pretty close to high tide when he realized his phone was missing, but he wasn’t quite sure where it could be. He looked everywhere possible when he figured it must have fallen out somewhere in the water while he was fishing. Loosing a phone can be very devastating with all the pictures, videos, and other information that can be stored on them now. Needless to say this was the situation with Tony, especially the pictures and videos of friends and family that can NEVER be replaced. Luckily I was able to locate his phone during the next low tide, about  20′ down the hill, right where the low tide waves were breaking. It was already buried in the sand over 12″, and prob. very close to being lost for ever. Time is so important when recovering lost items in the surf or ocean, that is why you need to call  ASAP when an item is lost.

Ring lost in San Diego Bay found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Scott was kayaking back in August, and while paddling close to shore, his dog decided to jump out of his kayak and into the water. In the process of getting his dog back inside, Scott’s wedding ring came off and into the drink. He tried to find it, but, with a mucky bottom and poor visibility, we know how that ended. He and his wife Caitlin found me online and asked for help. We met at the site during a minus low tide at 11:30pm. Even though it was a small area to search, there was tons of metal junk and some deep silt/mud at that spot in the bay. Try as I might, I couldn’t come up with it after an extensive search. They thanked me for trying and I told them that I would keep it on my list and would try again whenever I was in the area. My next opportunity came about a month later at another minus low tide at night. Again, I found all sorts of junk, but, no ring. I was thinking it might be in deeper water, but, in walking out deeper, you would sink up to your knees in mud. Not going to be possible to search out there. Fast forward to November and another opportunity to hit the area during a daytime low tide. Went back over the same area and found tons more junk targets, but, after a half hour or so, success!, Scott’s wedding ring came up from a foot deep and into my scoop. A text later to an incredulous Scott and Caitlin where I found that they would be visiting again in town around Christmas. They asked me to hold on to it until then which I gladly agreed to. They came by the day after Christmas and picked up the ring. A pleasure to meet you both and thank you for the reward.

Gold Bracelet recovered in Summerland CA.

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

I got a call the week before Christmas to see if I could locate a very expensive gold bracelet that had been lost during a boutique gathering at a popular shop in Summerland. The bracelet was lost during the evening and wasn’t inventoried until the next day. Unfortunately, the grounds it was lost on are covered in loose gravel that is raked every day before the business opening. To further compound the problem, the greater Santa Barbara area had experienced 3 days of pounding rain which had caused flooding throughout the area and had turned the gravel area into a muddy gravel area.

Since this was a business with hundreds of items for sale I would rely more on my pinpointer and I began the process of moving on my hands and knees slowly dragging the pinpointer in the muddy gravel. With no discrimination, I was finding every bit of metal in the ground and gravel but I finally got a strong signal and dug down into the gravel and out of the mud came this beautiful gold bracelet with diamonds. Mission accomplished!

I was able to make the return to the store owner who then contacted the vendor to tell her of the good news that the gold bracelet was found and would be returned. If you happen to loose a ring, bracelet or other piece of jewelry do what they did and contact me, Dave MacDonald at 805-290-5009 so we can get your keepsake back where it belongs.

Snow Swallows A Ring In Calgary

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

While walking the dog after our first significant snowfall of the year, he slipped and his ring disappeared. Three hours of unsuccessful searching resulted in nothing. Then he found me. The biggest concern was the large water drainage grate right where it happened. It could have gone down.

LOST 14k WHITE GOLD RING IN NEBO, NC…..FOUND!

  • from Jacksonville (North Carolina, United States)

Got a call this morning from a lady that had lost her 14k gold ring with some heirloom diamonds/sapphires that she had specially made. She lost it in Lake James near Charolette, NC. 3.5 hr drive (one way)

She lost it off a dock at a friends house. She was stepping down to get into her kayak when she grabbed the wire/cable of the ramp to the boat dock. As she grabbed it the cable caught the ring (it has a cut out in it) and pulled it off of her finger. She thought it had fallen straight down and bounced off her kayak on the right hand side of the ramp. After almost 5 hours of searching the right side I expanded and moved to the left side. After about 30 more mins I found her ring! It was a very choppy signal on the AT MAX I think because of the cut in the ring and the clay in the lake.

But I didn’t give up! She knew it was there and I wasn’t giving up until I found it. 5.5 hours later it was found and back on her finger where it belonged!

I managed to surprise her with the return too! Love making folks happy again when I find something they feared was lost forever.

Lost Engagement Ring in Farmers Field, Rolly View, Alberta Canada

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

I received a call from Krystal regarding her white 14k gold engagement ring which she had lost out in Rolly View, in the county of Leduc.  After asking Krystal my usual questions I agreed to meet her.

Upon arriving at the location Krystal showed me exactly where she and her boy friend stood when he proposed to her and gave her the ring. With the excitement of accepting his proposal Krystal shook her hand and the ring flew off her finger into the snow! They searched the immediate area with no luck so decided to go back to the city and purchase a metal detector.  They headed back to continue the search but Krystal told me the metal detector made so many sounds that they did not understand and gave up the search and headed home.  While doing a Google search on “how to find a lost ring” she found me on the Ringfinders Blog Page. Within five minute Krystal had her ring back on her finger and was very grateful to have called me.

Thank you Krystal for getting in touch with me. I am so glad to have been able to find your ring.

LOST GOLD WEDDING RING SET IN RALEIGH, NC…… FOUND

  • from Jacksonville (North Carolina, United States)

Got a call from a gentleman that found me online. His wife had lost both of her wedding rings while taking pine straw from some bushes, dropping it as she worked in the cold weather.

At some point both of her rings slipped off her finger and into the pine straw/leaves and they couldn’t find them!

After arriving I found out it was two rings when I thought it was just one ring. About 30 mins later she had both rings back where they belonged!!

These are truly moments I live for!!
