Last evening I received a call from Jess. Jess explained that she was enjoying some time with family and friends at Tidewaters in Margate, New Jersey. Jess had taken her phone out while attempting to capture the sunset when the phone slipped from her hand and disappeared into the murky depths below the dock she was standing on. After speaking with Jess, we coordinated a time to meet that coincided with this mornings low tide.  I met up with Jess and her mother this morning and they directed me to the area where the phone went in. After about an hour of sifting thru black mud, crabs, clams, and metal debris I managed to locate Jess’s phone. The device was still on and appeared to be completely undamaged from the ordeal. As with most folks now a days a good portion of their captured memories reside on their phone so getting it back was a huge relief for Jess. Another successful recovery another happy client!

This couple was enjoying a day of swimming with friends at a private lake in central Oklahoma when a treasured family heirloom slipped from her finger and disappeared beneath the water. Platinum Ring Recovered in Holly Springs

I got a call from Kanti, a very nice woman who had lost her ring. The house where she lost it was getting new tenants the next day, so there was a significant time crunch to get it recovered before the tenants started their move-in. She went back to the house that evening to look for the ring and said she would text me if she was unable to find it (and needed me to find it). Several texts later, I met her at 7am at the house and she explained how the ring came to be lost. She and her husband had been carrying things from the house out to his truck, when she noticed a “spider-webby” thing on her hand. Startled, she threw her hands up and the ring flew off. Knowing exactly when a ring comes off is unusual — most people only notice it’s no longer on their finger at a later time. Kanti was able to show me exactly where she was standing when it came off, so the search area was somewhat limited. Starting from that spot, I gridded the area, but didn’t find the ring. I expanded the search area to include the space behind where she was standing, and quickly found the ring in the grass. It wasn’t buried, but it wasn’t visible from above. so my detector did its job. Glad to be able to get the ring back where it belongs – another happy ending!

Received a call yesterday afternoon to search for a lost wedding band in the Tyrone, GA area. The ring was lost back in December but he had a general idea of where it came off. After 30 minutes of searching with my detector, the ring was located and returned to the happy couple.

Lost ring in Grand Rapids lake recovered!

During a family boating outing, Lee removed his wedding ring after realizing that swimming with it wasn’t a good idea. Unfortunately, as he took it off, the ring slipped from his hand and disappeared into the water.

Realizing that the moment he moved it would become much harder to pinpoint where the ring had fallen, Lee remained perfectly still while his family searched. After several frantic minutes with no success, the boat was repositioned, and about 30 minutes later they were able to mark the suspected location.

Using the pinned area as a starting point, I began my search. This is where the story becomes remarkable. Lee is visually impaired and relies primarily on his peripheral vision. Despite that challenge, he had mentally marked the exact spot where he had been standing. During the search, fishing buoys were placed to mark the estimated drop zone.

After an hour and a half of searching, Lee entered the water and confidently said, “This is where I was.” He was relying on his memory and remarkable spatial awareness. I worked my way toward him, and just five feet away, my detector led me to his wedding ring!

Having worked in rehabilitation for more than 50 years, I’ve often seen how the loss of one sensory input can lead to heightened awareness in others. Lee’s ability to recall his position so accurately was truly impressive. He positioned himself approximately fifty feet from the pinned location. His sense of awareness was more accurate than GPS coordinates!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Lee and his wife, Molly. They were a joy to be around and treated us like family. Thank you both for trusting me to help recover such a meaningful treasure. It was an honor to be your ring finder.

Married Couple’s Lost Wedding Rings Found on Emerald Isle Beach

Brittney discovered Crystal Coast Ring Finders through a social media post and reached out for help in finding both her ring and her husband’s. His ring had once belonged to his great-grandfather, making it especially meaningful to recover.

After some conversation and a bit of detective work, I pinpointed the spot where they had spent time on the beach. A few passes later, I found her husband’s ring and knew hers had to be nearby. Sure enough, it turned up about eight feet away within minutes.

Brittney didn’t send any photos after I mailed the rings to the address she provided, so here’s a picture of me holding them before heading to the post office.

Kernersville and High Point, NC items lost. Wedding band recovered.

Did my TheRingFinders.com gig Saturday x2. Started the day at 8:00 am sharp 40 minutes from home. Mission was to locate a missing hearing aid. Mr Hall had one so we tested to see how it registered on my Minelab Manticore. It tested as a ferrous only signal 17-20 was very small but could detect @ 6 inches with gain of 15. Unfortunately didn’t find it in the yard after twice gridding 100%. The benefit is at least they know where it’s not and will continue looking in the home.

Ended the day with 4 hours hunting multiple volleyball courts for a men’s platinum wedding band. This ring was lost a week ago. Even though Michael saw it fly away it disappeared in the sand not to be found. He later told me they borrowed a metal detector and couldn’t locate which prompted their call. Since the loss the facility had conditioned the sand and the ring could have been deposited anywhere over the six (6) court complex. As the complex was nearing closing I got that special sound 🙂. Found it (pictured) but it had moved a court away from where thought. Texted photo to Michael asking if it looked familiar to which he replied “Where did you find it?”

Wedding ring lost and found in Boothbay Harbor Maine

I received a call from Kim after her husband Sal dropped his wedding ring between the planks on the  foot bridge into Boothbay Harbor. I was able to quickly locate the ring in 6 feet of water and ensure this newly married couple who were on their honeymoon would return home with only good memories. Lost Wedding Ring Saucon Valley Country Club, PA… Found!!!

⛳💍 Wedding Ring Recovered at Saucon Valley Country Club!
We were recently contacted by a golfer who lost his wedding ring during a round at Saucon Valley Country Club.
Before teeing off, he did what many of us would think is the safe thing—he placed his wedding ring inside a Tupperware container and tucked it into his golf bag. After the round, he pulled the container out, but the lid unexpectedly popped off. At the time, he assumed the ring had simply fallen deeper into the golf bag.
Unfortunately, when he got home and searched the bag from top to bottom, the ring was nowhere to be found.
That’s when Greenwood Detecting got the call. 📞
We met him at the course and searched the two key locations: where he had originally placed the ring in the container and where he removed the container from his golf bag after the round.
After carefully working the area, we got the signal we were hoping for! 🎯 The ring was recovered about 5 feet outside the area where he thought it had fallen.

I received a call from Ron. Ron explained that his granddaughter’s necklace broke while they were on the beach at Howard Street here in Cape May. His granddaughter was able to locate the broken chain however, there was a charm that was given to her by her mother that disappeared into the sand. Unfortunately, by the time she realized the chain was broken and sliding off the charm was already gone. She believed it may be in the area where they were sitting, but was not certain. I took the short ride over and met them on the beach. Once they moved their chairs and belongings out of the way, I began checking the area around the umbrella. After about a minute and a half of searching, my detector admitted a low growl commonly associated with that of a gold target . One shallow scoop later I had the charm in the scoop. She immediately began crying, and the rest of the beach began clapping. She didn’t think that it could be found given its size, but this is another true example of how even though something is small, the sentimental value attached to it means so much more than the monetary value or the size of the item. Another successful recovery, happy ending!
